I'm baffled as to why any CB wouldn't be jumping that route - the most obvious pass possible.

The older I've gotten, and the more I've watched sports of all kind, the more I have come to the conclusion that a large majority of athletes have no situational awareness whatsoever. They just play the way they have been coached, never taking into account the permutations of the specific situation at hand.

I was in Vegas for a SB party and went down to the casino during the most controversial HT ever, came back, watched the whole game and didn't find out until way later the next day about the JJ nipple or whatever.
