EagleFan predicts the 2017 NFL season

Just for the heck of it I am going to try to make a full season of predictions well before the season starts.

Inspired by the game that I used to run here for preseason predictions (and by the one I am trying to roll out which is slightly modified).

I hope to complete this by mid August.

Will begin the actual predicting later today.

During the season I will revisit my predictions to see how well (or poorly) I actually did.

Week 1
Chiefs @ Patriots - Let's be honest, there is no way the Patriots lose this one. Their soul has been sold a long time ago and it isn't quite time to collect.
Patriots 28 Chiefs 20

Jets @ Bills - The Jets will be a laughing stock this season, they are trying their own "process" that should land them the top pick in 2018. Hopefully the Bills fans don't read too much into an easy week 1 victory.
Bills 31 Jets 14

Eagles @ Redskins - I HATE this season opener for the Eagles. I still have no feel for what the team will be and they have a way of making Cousins look like a legend, he probably owes them millions for what they have done for his career. I think we will see some previews of what the Eagles could gel into but they will fall short thanks to a bad coaching decision.
Redskins 28 Eagles 27

Raiders @ Titans - No idea what the Titans will be but the Raiders have something to prove and will spoil the Titan's home opener.
Raiders 35 Titans 24

Buccaneers @ Dolphins - A 90 degree matchup, lots of cramping going on in this one. The Dolphins will not buy into the Buccaneers' hype and will pull this one out thanks to a late interception.
Dolphins 24 Buccaneers 20

Jaguars @ Texans - With the Texans looking to prove that teams don't need a quarterback they will get enough from their defense to open the season with a victory.
Texans 21 Jaguars 13

Cardinals @ Lions - The most over-rated coach in the league will go on the road to open the season and his mouth won't be enough for them to pick up a win.
Lions 28 Cardinals 20

Falcons @ Bears - The Falcons do get what the doctor ordered for responding to their collapse in the Super Bowl, an opener against the Bears. They won;t make the same mistake in this one and their fans will over-react and start buying super bowl tickets, but they may be a bit premature.
Falcons 35 Bears 20

Ravens @ Bengals - A battle of cell block A. The Ravens will not have enough offense to pull this one out, even if Burt Reynolds comes out of retirement.
Bengals 27 Ravens 23

Steelers @ Browns - The Steelers decide to send their first stringers just in case and won't be disappointed. Sorry Cleveland, so sorry.
Steelers 38 Browns 14

Colts @ Rams - Still the same old Rams, they will show a solid defense but their offense may even struggle against Notre Dame. The Civil War captain will rally his troops.
Colts 27 Rams 13

Seahawks @ Packers - I hate to say it but the Seahawks could be on the verge of imploding. The Packers will not suffer from a late game onside mishap in this one.
Packers 31 Seahawks 27

Panthers @ 49ers - An over-hyped team will open the season strong but consider what team they are playing so don't drink the cool aid too soon.
Panthers 28 49ers 27

Giants @ Cowboys - A declining hall of fame QB with a LOT of weapons facing the classic game manager. The game manager will most likely be missing his dirtbag running back and will suffer when trying to win on his own merits.
Giants 35 Cowboys 27

Saints @ Vikings - The Saints will unveil their new running attack but the Vikings defense will be too much for them in their first game trying to implement the approach.
Vikings 24 Saints 21

Chargers @ Broncos - The Broncos defense will be enough for them in their home opener. The Chargers will still be looking for some identity but won;t find it today.
Broncos 24 Chargers 14

Week 2
Texans @ Bengals - The Bengals will have just enough offense to beat the Texans who will see their kicker being their offensive MVP of this one. The Texans will seriously be trying to lure Tony Romo out of retirement after this one.
Bengals 17 Texans 15

Browns @ Ravens - The Ravens will find their way into the win column over the improved Browns (but they are still the Browns). The Browns will make this a game but fall short.
Ravens 24 Browns 21

Bears @ Buccaneers - This will be the game which all of those who have jumped on the Buccaneers will be back bandwagon will point to and say "told you so" but they need to calm down a bit as they will only be beating the Bears.
Buccaneers 28 Bears 17

Vikings @ Steelers - The Steelers have more than enough offense to put this one on cruise control in the second half. A couple late scores in garbage time will make this look closer than it was.
Steelers 31 Vikings 24

Patriots @ Saints - The Saints will struggle against the soulless ones. The Patriots will sweat this one out a bit but not really be in trouble in the end.
Patriots 31 Saints 21

Eagles @ Chiefs - Another early game that I dislike. Andy Reid will know hoe to defend what is basically his offense. A rough start for the sophomore quarterback and coach.
Chiefs 28 Eagles 24

Titans @ Jaguars - Remember the Titans will be the cry after this one. The Titans will go on the road and handle their business with a few moments of greatness from their young quarterback.
Titans 27 Jaguars 17

Cardinals @ Colts - The Colts will have more than enough to hand the Cardinals their second loss of the season. Captain Luck will have his supporters talking MVP already, quite a bit prematurely however.
Colts 35 Cardinals 24

Bills @ Panthers - The Bills will crash down to earth as the Panthers will grind this one out led by the super-ego. There will be concerns starting to surface in Carolina about their top draft pick.
Panthers 27 Bills 21

Jets @ Raiders - The Raiders will be able to take the second half off as they will ride a large 1st half lead to victory.
Raiders 35 Jets 20

Dolphins @ Chargers - The Dolphins will spoil the Chargers' "home" opener. Beware the finned ones.
Dolphins 27 Chargers 24

49ers @ Seahawks - The Seahawks will continue to have internal struggles but the 49ers will be just what the doctor ordered to help put them on the right path. Wilson will take control and guide his team to victory while the defense will look like the Seahawks we have come to know.
Seahawks 28 49ers 13

Redskins @ Rams - After a week of hearing how Cousins should be signed to a long term deal after the Eagles made him look like an all-pro things will return to normal. He will get picked twice in key moments as the Rams will win in spite of a lack of production from their quarterback.
Rams 20 Redskins 17

Cowboys @ Broncos - The Broncos defense will rise to the occasion and shut down Dak and company. Paxton Lynch will come off the bench and throw two of the prettiest touchdown passes of the season.
Broncos 27 Cowboys 21

Packers @ Falcons - The Falcons will come into this over-confident but this game will start the whispers about how the team will handle last year's super bowl loss. Matty Ice will melt.
Packers 30 Falcons 24

Lions @ Giants - The Giants will continue to look strong and super bowl talk will already heat up in New York.
Giants 38 Lions 24

Week 3
Rams @ 49ers - Another Thursday night dog. The few people who will actually watch the game will be "treated" to quarterback play that resembles an Ivy league game, dreadful. The 49ers will win a close but boring game.
49ers 16 Rams 13

Ravens @ Jaguars - The Jaguars will get their first win of the season as they will surprisingly handle the Ravens with ease.
Jaguars 27 Ravens 17

Browns @ Colts - The Colts will remain unbeaten as they will beat the Browns thanks to 4 touchdown passes from Luck and 4 Browns' turnovers.
Colts 38 Browns 14

Giants @ Eagles - The Eagles will finally gel and OBJ will have the first of many meltdowns this season. Wentz will throw for 300 yards and the Eagles' defensive line will get to Eli 7 times.
Eagles 31 Giants 24

Dolphins @ Jets - The Jets will keep it close for 3 quarters but ultimately they will be broken by the Dolphins in the 4th.
Dolphins 27 Jets 17

Broncos @ Bills - Paxton Lynch's first start of the season will prove too much for the Bills; oh and the Broncos defense will have a little to say about it too.
Broncos 24 Bills 17

Saints @ Panthers - The Panthers will get a return touchdown from their glorified return man they drafted in the 1st round which will lead to a week of over-hype about him. The Saints will fall short in a late rally.
Panthers 26 Saints 23

Steelers @ Bears - The Steelers will have this one wrapped up by the half.
Steelers 41 Bears 17

Falcons @ Lions - The Lions will get a potentially season defining victory over the defending NFC champs.
Lions 27 Falcons 26

Buccaneers @ Vikings - The Vikings will not buy the Buccaneers' hype and will win to keep pace with the Lions as Winston throws 3 picks to cost his team the game.
Vikings 24 Buccaneers 20

Texans @ Patriots - One team has a great (but annoying) quarterback and the other team may be selling raffle tickets for fans to win a chance to suit up as their quarterback by the end of this one.
Patriots 35 Texans 13

Seahawks @ Titans - The Seahawks will have a carry over from the previous week and start to build some momentum as their defense will shut down Mariota and company.
Seahawks 23 Titans 10

Bengals @ Packers - R-E-L-A-X; a 3-0 start doesn't mean the Super Bowl so calm down Packer Nation.
Packers 30 Bengals 28

Chiefs @ Chargers - The Chargers will get their first win of the season at the expense of the Chiefs but it will be close.
Chargers 27 Chiefs 24

Raiders @ Redskins - The Raiders will dominate and this could mark the foretold return of jbmagic, more powerful than ever.
Raiders 34 Redskins 23

Cowboys @ Cardinals - The Cowboys will finally get their first win of the season as Dak will walk on water and part the seas at the same time (in Cowboys fans minds) but in reality he will hand the ball off a lot and make many safe throws. A well managed game.
Cowboys 23 Cardinals 17

Week 4
Bears @ Packers - The Packers will never look past the Bears and that will again be true. They will do enough to handle their business.
Packers 28 Bears 20

Saints @ Dolphins - The Saints will finally gel and get a much needed victory. They will do it on the ground, more than in the air.
Saints 27 Dolphins 24

Titans @ Texans - Mariota will bounce back and come up clutch for the Titans and the Texans will see an interception end their attempt to respond as the Titans pull this one out late.
Titans 20 Texans 16

Jaguars @ Jets - This will be a game that will come with a warning, may induce coma. No one will know how this one ends as stations will be flipping by the time the graphic comes up to show what game is on. The Jets will stun everyone by winning the interception bowl; 7 interceptions in total between the teams.
Jets 15 Jaguars 12

Panthers @ Patriots - The Patriots machine will continue to march on, this time they will expose the much over-hyped Cam Newton.
Patriots 31 Panthers 20

Lions @ Vikings - A key division game will see the Vikings defense step up and make a big late game stop to preserve the victory.
Vikings 17 Lions 13

Bills @ Falcons - Julio Jones will be a fantasy owner's dream in this one as he will go over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Falcons win easily.
Falcons 31 Bills 13

Steelers @ Ravens - The Ravens will be struggling but the Steelers coming to town will always get them up for the game. It will not be enough as the visitors will win a tight one.
Steelers 28 Ravens 26

Bengals @ Browns - The Browns defense will gel for this one and they will pick up a victory in their division in a cross state rivalry game.
Browns 24 Bengals 21

Rams @ Cowboys - The Cowboys will handle the Rams with ease.
Cowboys 31 Rams 17

Eagles @ Chargers - The Eagles will cross the country and struggle early but will have their legs by the second half. The defensive line will control the line and Wentz will be firing lasers in the second half.
Eagles 28 Chargers 17

Giants @ Buccaneers - This one will be a tight one to call. It will be a back and forth battle all day but the Giants will pull it out in the end.
Giants 28 Buccaneers 27

49ers @ Cardinals - The Cardinals will take this division battle without much sweat.
Cardinals 27 49ers 13

Raiders @ Broncos - The first big test for the Broncos will not end well as the Raiders offensive line will control the trench and the Raiders will hold on for the victory.
Raiders 29 Broncos 24

Colts @ Seahawks - The Seahawks defense will again come to play and prove to be too much for Captain Luck. Wilson will set up a late game touchdown pass to seal the deal with his scrambling ability.
Seahawks 27 Colts 17

Redskins @ Chiefs - In a "native American" battle the home fans will have plenty to cheer about ("you like that?") as Alex Smith will out shine the franchised one.
Chiefs 24 Redskins 17

Week 5
Patriots @ Buccaneers - The Buccaneers will surprise a few people here and get everyone talking about them again. 16-0 it won't be this season, sorry Pats fans.
Buccaneers 28 Patriots 27

Jets @ Browns - The networks will be fighting over who doesn't have to air this one. The Browns will win by a couple scores.
Browns 27 Jets 13

Panthers @ Lions - The Lions will get a much needed victory at home to keep them in the race early.
Lions 30 Panthers 23

49ers @ Colts - The Colts will not be tested in this one, may be over by the first commercial break.
Colts 34 49ers 10

Titans @ Dolphins - The Dolphins will look like a playoff team and will hold off a late game rally by Mariota.
Dolphins 27 Titans 23

Bills @ Bengals - The Bengals will see Mixon break loose in this one and go for almost 200 yards. The Bills will wish they had a quarterback who could keep pace.
Bengals 31 Bills 17

Chargers @ Giants - Eli will beat the team that drafted him and barely break a sweat. They have too many weapons for the Chargers to defend.
Giants 38 Chargers 17

Jaguars @ Steelers - The Jaguars will get everyone's attention with a first half lead but will ultimately not be able to keep the Steelers at bay.
Steelers 30 Jaguars 24

Cardinals @ Eagles - The Eagles will be hitting on all cylinders and will take care of the Cardinals and their blowhard of a coach.
Eagles 31 Cardinals 20

Seahawks @ Rams - The Rams will continue to be a thorn in the Seahawks side and will pull off a low scoring victory as the Seahawks will not be able to get on track. This will cause a lot of sound bites for the next week.
Rams 17 Seahawks 12

Ravens @ Raiders - The Raiders will ride a strong performance by Carr to a high scoring victory in a shootout.
Raiders 41 Ravens 30

Packers @ Cowboys - As much as I hate to say it the Cowboys will handle the Packers with a strong ground attack and timely throws from his Dakness.
Cowboys 27 Packers 24

Chiefs @ Texans - The Texans defense will keep the team in it but their lack of a quarterback will hurt them.
Chiefs 21 Texans 15

Vikings @ Bears - The Bears will come to play for this one.
Bears 28 Vikings 23

Eagles @ Panthers - The Eagles will unfortunately lose a tough battle in this one.
Panthers 24 Eagles 23

Bears @ Ravens - The Ravens will get a solid performance by Joe Flacco and will win by two scores.
Ravens 27 Bears 14

Browns @ Texans - The Texans defense will be too much for the young Browns.
Texans 17 Browns 13

Packers @ Vikings - The Vikings will take advantage of their loud crowd and win a close game. A-aron will bring the team back but fall just short.
Vikings 28 Packers 24

Lions @ Saints - The Saints will run for close to 200 yards and give their fans something to leave happy about.
Saints 28 Lions 23

Dolphins @ Falcons - The Falcons will show off their offense in this one and give the Dolphins just their second defeat of the season.
Falcons 35 Dolphins 20

Patriots @ Jets - The Patriots have this one won before they enter the stadium. Age won't catch up to Brady just yet, but it's right around the corner.
Patriots 31 Jets 13

49ers @ Redskins - The Redskins will take advantage of a really poor 49ers team in a game that will be close until midway through the 4th.
Redskins 24 49ers 14

Buccaneers @ Cardinals - The Cardinals will pull off the victory at home as the Buccaneers will not be able to stop the Cardinals.
Cardinals 38 Buccaneers 27

Rams @ Jaguars - The Jaguars will show a little promise as they will be able to load up the box to stop the run with no worry about the quarterback taking advantage of that.
Jaguars 21 Rams 16

Steelers @ Chiefs - The Chiefs will put up their best defensive effort of the season against the tough Steelers offense and will seal the deal with a late turnover.
Chiefs 27 Steelers 23

Chargers @ Raiders - This isn't a classic matchup from the past but till be close for the first half but the Raiders will be too much to handle in the second half.
Raiders 31 Chargers 17

Giants @ Broncos - The Broncos defense will be able to get to Eli at will as the Giants weak offensive line will be a burden for them in this one.
Broncos 20 Giants 17

Colts @ Titans - The Titans will give their fans a big Monday night victory.
Titans 27 Colts 24

Interesting schedule oddity that through week 9 the Jets have played almost all of their divisional games and all AFC East games played so far have involved them. The other three teams have not yet played each other.

Cowboys 31 Redskins 20

Vikings @ Falcons - The Falcons will run and gun their way to victory. Ryan will throw 4 scores.
Falcons 35 Vikings 23

Texans @ Titans - Mariota will have a rough time against the Texans' defense but will finally break through with a game winning drive late in the game.
Titans 17 Texans 15

Chiefs @ Jets - The Chiefs will handle their business, but not in a flashy manner. While never in danger of losing they won't run up the points.
Chiefs 23 Jets 10

Panthers @ Saints - The Saints will be comfortable at home and Brees will throw for 3 scores as the Saints will win by two scores.
Saints 30 Panthers 17

Broncos @ Dolphins - The Broncos will have a tough time early but their defense will keep them in the game. By the second half the Broncos will have figured out the Dolphins' defense and will take the lead late and see their defense win the game with a late goal line stand.
Broncos 24 Dolphins 20

Lions @ Ravens - The Lions will stumble and the Ravens will take advantage of it.
Ravens 23 Lions 20

Patriots @ Bills
The Patriots will give the Bills what they seem to be playing for, a loss and a better draft pick.
Patriots 30 Bills 17

49ers @ Bears
The Bears get a present with the 49ers coming to town. They win a yawner.
Bears 23 49ers 10

Buccaneers @ Packers - The Packers will win a thriller on a late hail mary.
Packers 28 Buccaneers 27

Colts @ Jaguars - The Colts won't be able to get their feet under them in this one. The Jaguars' defense will force 4 turnovers in the win.
Jaguars 20 Colts 13

Browns @ Chargers - The Chargers will give the handful of fans that care about them still a home victory, but it will be tight.
Chargers 24 Browns 21

Giants @ Raiders - The Raiders will be over confident coming into this one with the Giants coming across the country for the upset.
Giants 28 Raiders 23

Rams @ Cardinals - The Cardinals will win a defensive battle as their will be 6 combined turnovers in the game.
Cardinals 18 Rams 13

Eagles @ Seahawks - The Seahawks defense will be too much for the Eagles on the road, along with the 12th man. Wilson will not be contained.
Seahawks 27 Eagles 17

Steelers @ Bengals - The Bengals will get a much needed divisional win and will treat Big Ben as if he was one of his "dates".
Bengals 29 Steelers 21

Colts 21 Bills 13

Raiders @ Chiefs - The Raiders defense will prove to be their weak spot in this one. The chiefs will control the clock and the game.

Week 15
Broncos @ Colts - The Broncos defense will keep the over-rated one in check but their offense will struggle too much to pull off the victory. In the end the Colts will end up on top.
Colts 26 Broncos 19

Bears @ Lions - The game is only missing tigers... oh my. The Lions will have little trouble with the Bears.
Lions 29 Bears 16

Chargers @ Chiefs - The Chiefs will look like a contender in this one. The punchable one will throw 3 picks in the loss and his face being shown on screen will cause many televisions to be punched, thus stoking the television sales heading into the holiday season.
Chiefs 31 Chargers 16

Texans @ Jaguars - The Jaguars will win a defensive battle that will hurt the Texans' playoff chances.
Jaguars 20 Texans 16

Ravens @ Browns - The improved Browns will handle the struggling Ravens in a divisional matchup.
Browns 23 Ravens 21

Packers @ Panthers - The Packers will go on the road and take care of their business with a big third quarter that puts the game out of reach. A late score will make the game look closer than what it was.
Packers 31 Panthers 20

Dolphins @ Bills - The Bills defense will give the Dolphins more than they can handle. McCoy will have his best game of the season and will have almost 200 yards of total offense.
Bills 27 Dolphins 24

Bengals @ Vikings - The Vikings will win a game that is dull for three quarters but will have a strong finish (because the game is close).
Vikings 19 Bengals 16

Cardinals @ Redskins - The Redskins will step up and have that flash in the pan game from Cousins. He'll throw 4 touchdowns and have people talking about his future.
Redskins 36 Cardinals 21

Eagles @ Giants - The Giants will clinch the division with a tight victory over the division rival Eagles.
Giants 27 Eagles 26

Jets @ Saints - The Jets will mail this one in. Bet the house on the Saints.
Saints 38 Jets 10

Rams @ Seahawks - The Seahawks will struggle against the Rams yet again but will pull this one out thanks to Wilson. He will start to get some talk about being an MVP dark horse candidate.
Seahawks 23 Rams 19

Titans @ 49ers - The Titans will get what the doctor ordered, a game against the 49ers. They will win with ease on the road.
Titans 29 49ers 16

Patriots @ Steelers - A potential playoff preview will see the Steelers making a statement. Deflated balls and stolen signals won't help the Patriots.
Steelers 33 Patriots 26

Cowboys @ Raiders - The Cowboys will have a strong first half and have the lead but Carr will step up with a 3 touchdown second half to lead the Raiders to victory.
Raiders 36 Cowboys 27

Falcons @ Buccaneers - The Falcons will look strong in the first half but the Buccaneers will solve the puzzle in the second half, it won't be a 28-3 choke but it will be a choke.
Buccaneers 29 Falcons 26

49ers 23 Jaguars 20

Wildcard Round
Chiefs @ Titans - The Titans give their fans something to cheer about with a thrilling victory over the Chiefs thanks to a clutch performance by Mariota in the 4th.
Titans 28 Chiefs 24

Colts @ Steelers - The Steelers don't treat the visiting Colts well as the game is over early.
Steelers 31 Colts 13

Eagles @ Saints - The Eagles return the favor from a few years ago by going on the road and edging the Saints thanks to an all-pro performance by Wentz.
Eagles 31 Saints 27

Cardinals @ Seahawks - The Seahawks get the joy of beating the most obnoxious coach in the league two weeks in a row.
Seahawks 28 Cardinals 23

Divisional Round
Titans @ Raiders - The Titans will score first and be a thorn in the Raiders side all day as the Raiders defense will be their biggest issue. The Raiders offense, however, will be too much for the Titans.
Raiders 38 Titans 31

Chiefs @ Patriots - The dark side will be strong with the Patriots. This one won't even be close.
Patriots 34 Chiefs 16

Eagles @ Packers - The Eagles will not be able to beat the Packers and the weather. Three fumbles will cost the Eagles a chance at victory.
Packers 27 Eagles 21

Seahawks @ Giants - The Seahawks will surprise many as Wilson will outplay Manning.
Seahawks 27 Giants 24

Conference Championship
Patriots @ Raiders - With revenge for the tuck rule potentially on the line the Raiders will not so politely end the Patriots' season. Brady will start to show his age with a glimpse of what his future will hold.
Raiders 29 Patriots 20

Seahawks @ Packers - The Packers have played above their heads all season long, how they got there no one really knows. The Seahawks have been a puzzle all year long with the offense and defense often having a civil war. As much as I want to say the Seahawks will win, I see a tight loss.
Packers 27 Seahawks 24

Super Bowl
Raiders vs. Packers - In what may be the most over-hyped Super Bowl in quite some time we will see a shootout as it will seem like the last team with the ball will be the winner. If you are in a score change pool, there will be many payouts. In the end, the Raiders will really screw over their fans as their defense will not be able to make the important stop.
Packers 38 Raiders 36

Patriots 28 Chiefs 20
So much for them not losing. Chiefs win 42-27 as they outscore the Patriots 28-3 to close out the game. A Loss for me and missed by 23 points.

Jets @ Bills - The Jets will be a laughing stock this season, they are trying their own "process" that should land them the top pick in 2018. Hopefully the Bills fans don't read too much into an easy week 1 victory.
Bills 31 Jets 14
The Bills win 21-12, if the Bills win and no one watches is it really a win? I get a W on this one, missed by 12 points.

Glad to get the loss on this one as the Eagles win 30-17. I missed by 14 points.

Raiders @ Titans - No idea what the Titans will be but the Raiders have something to prove and will spoil the Titan's home opener.
Raiders 35 Titans 24
Got this one right but not as many points as I thought as the Raiders win 26-16. Missed by 17 points.

Buccaneers @ Dolphins - A 90 degree matchup, lots of cramping going on in this one. The Dolphins will not buy into the Buccaneers' hype and will pull this one out thanks to a late interception.
Dolphins 24 Buccaneers 20
This one is pushed to later in the year.

Jaguars @ Texans - With the Texans looking to prove that teams don't need a quarterback they will get enough from their defense to open the season with a victory.
Texans 21 Jaguars 13
Surprised that the Jaguars would win this one so easily, 29-7. Missed by 30 points.

Cardinals @ Lions - The most over-rated coach in the league will go on the road to open the season and his mouth won't be enough for them to pick up a win.
Lions 28 Cardinals 20
The Lions ended this one with a surge as they win 35-23. Missed by only 10 points.

The Falcons had more trouble that I expected but they still win 23-17. I missed by 15 points.

Ravens @ Bengals - A battle of cell block A. The Ravens will not have enough offense to pull this one out, even if Burt Reynolds comes out of retirement.
Bengals 27 Ravens 23
What happened to the Bengals? I was really off on this one as the Ravens blank the Bengals at home 20-0. I missed by 30 points.

Steelers @ Browns - The Steelers decide to send their first stringers just in case and won't be disappointed. Sorry Cleveland, so sorry.
Steelers 38 Browns 14
The Steelers had more trouble that I expected but pull it out 21-18. I missed by 18 points.

Colts @ Rams - Still the same old Rams, they will show a solid defense but their offense may even struggle against Notre Dame. The Civil War captain will rally his troops.
Colts 27 Rams 13
I missed this one big time. The Rams crush them 46-9. I miss this one big, by 51.

Seahawks @ Packers - I hate to say it but the Seahawks could be on the verge of imploding. The Packers will not suffer from a late game onside mishap in this one.
Packers 31 Seahawks 27
Much more defensive than expected but the refs made sure I got this one right. Packers win 17-9 (should have been 20-17 if not for the refs). I missed this one by 32.

Panthers @ 49ers - An over-hyped team will open the season strong but consider what team they are playing so don't drink the cool aid too soon.
Panthers 28 49ers 27
Got this one right but it wasn't close as I picked. Panthers win 23-3. I miss by 29 points.

Giants @ Cowboys - A declining hall of fame QB with a LOT of weapons facing the classic game manager. The game manager will most likely be missing his dirtbag running back and will suffer when trying to win on his own merits.
Giants 35 Cowboys 27
A sad day whenever this team wins. Cowboys win 19-3. I miss by 40 points.

Saints @ Vikings - The Saints will unveil their new running attack but the Vikings defense will be too much for them in their first game trying to implement the approach.
Vikings 24 Saints 21
Not too bad as the Vikings win 29-19. I win and miss by just 7.

Chargers @ Broncos - The Broncos defense will be enough for them in their home opener. The Chargers will still be looking for some identity but won;t find it today.
Broncos 24 Chargers 14
A good Monday night for picks as the Broncos win 24-21. I missed by a touchdown, 7 points.

How did I do week 2?

Bengals 17 Texans 15
I obviously over-estimated the Bungals. Texans win 13-9. Only off by 10 points in the loss.

Browns @ Ravens - The Ravens will find their way into the win column over the improved Browns (but they are still the Browns). The Browns will make this a game but fall short.
Ravens 24 Browns 21
The Ravens win a little easier than I thought as they win 24-10. I missed by 11 points, but got the win.

Bears @ Buccaneers - This will be the game which all of those who have jumped on the Buccaneers will be back bandwagon will point to and say "told you so" but they need to calm down a bit as they will only be beating the Bears.
Buccaneers 28 Bears 17
The Buccaneers win easily, 29-7. I get the win and am off by 11 points.

Vikings @ Steelers - The Steelers have more than enough offense to put this one on cruise control in the second half. A couple late scores in garbage time will make this look closer than it was.
Steelers 31 Vikings 24
The Steelers win easily as I gave the Vikings too much credit. Steelers win 26-9, I get the win but am off by 20 points.

Patriots @ Saints - The Saints will struggle against the soulless ones. The Patriots will sweat this one out a bit but not really be in trouble in the end.
Patriots 31 Saints 21
The Patriots were mad, they win 36-20. I am close as I get the win and am off by only 6 points.

Eagles @ Chiefs - Another early game that I dislike. Andy Reid will know hoe to defend what is basically his offense. A rough start for the sophomore quarterback and coach.
Chiefs 28 Eagles 24
A close game got out of hand thanks to the team forgetting about the running game. A late score makes it a one score game as the Chiefs win 27-20. I get the win and miss by only 5 points.

Titans @ Jaguars - Remember the Titans will be the cry after this one. The Titans will go on the road and handle their business with a few moments of greatness from their young quarterback.
Titans 27 Jaguars 17
The Titans win by a lot more than I thought as they win 37-16. Was nervous about this one after the way the Jaguars played in week 1. I get the win and miss by 11 points.

Cardinals @ Colts - The Colts will have more than enough to hand the Cardinals their second loss of the season. Captain Luck will have his supporters talking MVP already, quite a bit prematurely however.
Colts 35 Cardinals 24
Missed this one with Luck out as the Cardinals win 16-13 in OT. I missed it by 30 points.

Bills @ Panthers - The Bills will crash down to earth as the Panthers will grind this one out led by the super-ego. There will be concerns starting to surface in Carolina about their top draft pick.
Panthers 27 Bills 21
Well, I was right that the Panthers would win by 6, just didn't expect 9-3. I missed by 36 points.

Jets @ Raiders - The Raiders will be able to take the second half off as they will ride a large 1st half lead to victory.
Raiders 35 Jets 20
The Raiders win even more easily than predicted, 45-20. I nailed the Jets' score but missed the Raiders by 10.

Dolphins @ Chargers - The Dolphins will spoil the Chargers' "home" opener. Beware the finned ones.
Dolphins 27 Chargers 24
In what was a very odd ending to the game the Dolphins win 19-17. I get the win and was off by 15 points.

Wilson did come up big with the winning score, but the team didn't look as good as I had expected. Seahawks win 12-9. I get the win and miss by 20 points.

Goff was Goff. Redskins win 27-20. I lose and miss by 10 points (nailed the Rams score).

Cowboys @ Broncos - The Broncos defense will rise to the occasion and shut down Dak and company. Paxton Lynch will come off the bench and throw two of the prettiest touchdown passes of the season.
Broncos 27 Cowboys 21
I was a little closer before the pick 6. Broncos win 42-17. I enjoy every minute of it . I miss by 19 points, but get the win.

Packers @ Falcons - The Falcons will come into this over-confident but this game will start the whispers about how the team will handle last year's super bowl loss. Matty Ice will melt.
Packers 30 Falcons 24
Missed this one as the Falcons win 34-23. I missed by 18 points.

Lions @ Giants - The Giants will continue to look strong and super bowl talk will already heat up in New York.
Giants 38 Lions 24
Ended the week poorly as the Lions beat the Giants 24-10. I missed by 28 points in the loss.
