WMMA - UFC
After being announced as the President of the UFC, I set about to make some signings, and there will be a number of high-profile fighters debuting for the UFC in the coming weeks and months.
I decided to cancel the December PPV and push it off until January, running just a UFC Fight-Night in December. UFC Fight Night (Saturday, Week 3, December 2007) Michael Bisping def. Evan Tanner (unanimous decision) Cheick Kongo def. Heath Herring (K.O) Karo Parisyan def. Mike Swick (T.K.O - 34 seconds) Roger Huerta def. Spencer Fisher (unanimous decision) Forest Griffin def. Rashad Evans (K.O) I put all my efforts into getting the roster ready for UFC 79 in January 2008, although the victory by Cheick Kongo saw him elevated up the ladder of heavyweight contenders. UFC 79 (California) Announced Matches (12 matches) 1. Mirko Cro Cop vs. Eddie Sanchez 2. "Thunder" Yushin Okami vs. "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler 3. "The Iceman" Chuck Liddell vs. Wilson Gouveia 4.
