The fans are tired of Tiggs and so am I. Time to get a better pure PG. Unfortunately, we can't find any good single player deals that work. However, we do find a deal:

We send:

Tiggs, Jefferson, our 1st round pick in 2020 and 2021.

The Cavs send:

PG Darnell Schultz: 82 rating - excellent passing, ball handling, IQ, and shooting. However, he has never averaged more than 6 apg mainly due to playing with bad teams (primarily the Bobcats.) He is 27 years old. He averages about 14 ppg.

C DeAndre Jordan - 30 year C - 70 rating. A solid rebounder and defender with size. 1 year 8 million dollar contract so I can maybe flip him if I want.

The Cavs 1st round in 2021 - maybe I'll get lucky and it will be a high pick. They offered this for Tiggs, so I'll accept this package deal. I'll miss Jefferson. He was a fun athletic big, but this deal makes us a better team I think.

A look at our rotation now:

PG Darnell Schultz (83), SG Turner (98), SF Mayo (95), PF Kelley - happy to be moving into the starting lineup (79), PF/C Robin Scott (89.)

Our bench: C Thabeet (66 - but adds defensive toughness to 2nd unit), PG/SG Ball (71), C Jordan (71), SF/PF Otis Walsh (67 - gets more minutes now), Redd (57 - not as good of a shooter as advertised - will he get better with time?)

Our deep bench: C Donnie Page (63), PG Loren Alexander (58), C Patrick Cheaney (53)

Patrick Cheaney breaks a bone in his foot in his first summer game. Ouch.

We beat the Celtics 123-83 in our first summer game. Mayo with 37 points and 13 boards. Ball with 20 points off the bench. Turner with 20 points, 9 boards, 7 assists. Schultz with 9 points, 11 assists (a career high), 4 boards, and 3 steals in his first game. I forgot to mention that Schultz is graded as an A defender (Tiggs was rated a B+)

Game 2: We beat the Bucks, 120-93. Schultz with 19 points, 7 boards, 11 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks! Turner with 35 points, 8 boards, and 5 assists. Kelley with 25 points, 5 boards, and 2 blocks in his first big game

Game 3: We dominate Atlanta and Schultz holds Campbell to 19 points and 5 assists! Schultz with 21 points, 8 assists, 1 turnover. He shot 7 of 11. Turner with 26 points, 4 boards, and 3 assists. Mayo with 22 points and 13 boards.

Game 4: We beat the new look Bulls 103-90. Kelley led us with 29 points, 8 boards, and 3 blocks. Schulez with 15 points, 10 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. Mayo and Turner each add 18.

Thabeet hurts his toe in the game and will miss 1-2 weeks.

Game 5 (preseason): We beat the Suns 117-114. Schultz with 21 points, 9 assists, and 3 steals. Mayo with 31 points. Turner with 22. Ball with 15 points and 6 assists off the bench. Wow. This team is rolling

Game 6: We beat the Bulls 120-90. Turner with 26 points, 15 assists, and 5 boards.

Mayo with 21 points, 16 boards, and 3 blocks. Scott with 25 points, 12 boards, and 4 blocks.

Schultz with 17 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals.

Game 7: We beat the Celtics 114-90. We are undefeated in the pre-season! Schultz with 24 points, 12 assists, 4 boards, and only 2 turnovers. Wow.

I'm going to take a much more macro look at the season. We'll focus on monthly picture.

We lose our season opener to Toronto 109-88 as Westbrook schooled Schultz. They have a nasty starting 5: Westbrook, DeRozan, Wesley Johnson, Javale McGee, and Bargnani.

We win our other 2 games in October to go 2-1 early in the season.

Mid November, Schultz hurts his heel. He'll play through it. We are 9-2 so far with a 7 game winning streak before Detroit beat us in their place.

We had a good month of November, although we dropped 2 in LA to the Lakers and Clippers when Schultz was hurt. Still, we've started off the season 16-4!

We are winning most games by almost a 20 point margin.

Some early averages:

Mayo 25.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1.4 spg, 1.5 bpg, 1 apg. He is shooting 49% overall, 34% from the arc, and 87% from the line.

Turner: 20 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 6.9 apg, 2.0 spg, 1 bpg. He is shooting 49% overall, 42% from the arc, and 81% from the line.

Schultz: 16.9 ppg (career high by almost 3 ppg), 7.2 apg (3.3 apg more than last year), 2.0 spg (career high by .9), 4.3 rpg, and only averaging 2.1 turnovers per game.

He is shooting 45% from the floor, 38% from the arc, and 92% from the line.

Scott: 14.6 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.6 bpg. He is shooting 46%, 0 from the arc, and 80% from the line.

Kelley: 11.4 ppg (career high by 2 ppg), 5.5 rpg (career high) and 1.2 apg. He is shooting 41%, 19% from the arc, and 80% from the line.

Ball leads the bench with 7.6 ppg and 3.3 apg.

Walsh with 4.6 ppg and 2.0 rpg.

Jordan: 2.0 ppg and 3.9 rpg.

Thabeet 0.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 1 bpg in 16 mpg.

Early Decemebr: Turner hurts his hamstring but will through it.

We drop a few games while Turner is hurt, but once he gets back to 100% we run off 6 wins straight to end the month including a 105-70 demolishing of the Bulls on Christmas day.

We are 26-7 at the end of December.

However, no individual awards as John Wall and LeBron continue to dominate player of the month, winning both months.

The #1 pick is winning rookie of the month in Utah while both Donald Humphrey (Detroit) and Laurence Tiner (Orlando) have won it in the East.

Mayo's scoring has fallen down a tick, but Schultz continues to improve his assists average although his turnovers have come up a tick. Still, he's been great.

Ouch, early January Guy Ball tears his MCL and is done for the year. I need to try to find a back-up PG...

We sign Nick Gregory, a 30 year old PG who has only played minimal minutes in the NBA, but he can give us 5-8 minutes per night. He's a decent defender and ball handler.

We continue to roll with many 20 plus point wins. The only losses are to Atlanta and Utah. We are now 38-10 and pulling away from the East

Rose is tearing it up in Charlotte and just had a Charlotte record 55 points.

A look at the East Standings:

1. 76ers 38-10
2. Knicks 34-13
3. Bobcats 31-18
4. Pacers 29-19
5. Hawks 29-20
6. Nets 27-21
7. Pistons 24-22 (too guard heavy I think)
8. Celtics 24-23
9. Wizards 23-24
10. Raptors 22-26
11. Heat 20-26
12. Cavs 16-31 (teams are trying to get me to trade their 2021 1st round pick - could be a great pick)
13. Bulls 13-34
14. Bucks 11-33
15. Magic 10-35.

In the West:

1. Lakers 35-11
2. Spurs 33-14
3. Wolves 32-15
4. Hornets 31-18
5. Blazers 28-19
6. Suns 27-21
7. Clippers 26-21
8. Jazz 24-24
9. Nuggets 20-27
10. Kings 19-27
11. Warriors 18-27
12. Rockets 18-30
13. Grizzlies 15-31 - they have LeBron and not much around him now and his age is finally slowing him down slightly.
14. Mavs 15-34
15. Thunder 14-33 (Durant doesn't have as many pieces around him with Westbrook and Harden gone. Their 2nd best player is my former C Lloyd Madsen who is rated 76 overall. They don't have a decent true PG on the roster.)

Wall won Player of the Month in the East again, but Brandon Jennings won it over LeBron in the West.

Chester Cassell becomes the 3rd rookie to win rookie of the month in the East. The C Stelios wins it for the 3rd time in the West. Stelios is averaging 10 ppg, 9 rpg, and almost 2 bpg already.

The Bobcats want to trade me Rose for Mayo and Scott. I turn that down.

Heh. The Jazz offer me their star rookie C and Michael Beasley if I will give up Mayo. I turn them down.

We lose to the Nets and Celtics, but otherwise win every game before the All-Star break in Feb. We are 43-12 at the break. I'm glad the trade of Tiggs is working out for us

Our averages now:

Mayo: 25.6 ppg (career high), 8.5 rpg (career high), 1.6 spg (career high), 1.6 bpg (career high) and 0.9 apg (lowest of his career as he no longer has to distribute.)

Turner: 20.3 ppg (highest in 5 years), 6.8 rpg (career high), 6.6 apg (about where he usually is), 1.9 spg, and 1 bpg.

Schultz: 17.4 ppg (career high by 4 ppg), 7.9 apg (career), 2.0 spg, and 2.7 tpg.

Scott: 13.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.4 bpg.

Kelley: 11.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.1 apg, 0.7 bpg.

Walsh: 5 ppg, 2.4 rpg in 14 mpg.

Jordan 3.1 ppg and 3.5 rpg.

Redd: 1.3 ppg.

Thabeet: 0.7 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 1.3 bpg in 18 mpg.

First time in a long time, Rookis beat the Sophomores with Stelios starring. Maybe I should have traded Mayo for him ;-) He had 25 points, 13 boards, and 4 blocks.

A list of the All-Stars:

East:

Wall, Det (4th), Rose, Bobcats (7th), Harper, Bulls (2nd), Mayo!! (2nd), Cousins, Wizards (2nd)

The bench: Campbell, Atl (3rd), Owen Blake, Atl (4th), Wilson Rooks, Bucks (1st), Danny Walls, Celtics (1st), Spencer Hawes, Celtics (1st), Turner (3rd)!!, and Darnell Schultz!!! (1st) Wow. 3 All-stars for our first time ever

West:

Jennings, Spurs (7th), Paul, New Orleans (12th), LeBron, Grizzlies (13th), Durant, Thunder (10th), Howard, Spurs (12th)

Bench:

Marshall Samuel, Wolves (4th), Tyreke Evans, Kings, (7th), Paul George, Lakers (3rd), Patrick Patterson, Rockets (2nd), Billy Crawford, GS (6th), Deron Williams, Jazz (8th), and J.J. Stone, Clippers (1st.)

A look at Tiggs in Cleveland: 13.2 ppg, 3.3 apg (career low), and 3.6 rpg. He is shooting a career low 36% from the floor without my guys getting him open shots (shot 44% last year.) Averaged 4 tpg which is higher than last few years.

Before the All-star game, I'm offered Isaac Malone for the 1st pick from the Cavs. Apparently, he is unhappy with his lack of playing time in Atlanta. Glad I didn't pick him. I decline.

The All-Star Game:

The East crushes the West 129-100

Mayo was the MVP with 28 points He did that despite only playing 22 minutes.

Rose with 17 points and 4 assists in 18 minutes.

Wow. Schultz got serious minutes in the game. Schulz with 34 minutes, 15 points, 10 boards, 10 assists!

Turner with 13 points, 6 assists, and 3 boards in 15 minutes.

Nice!

We end the month of Feb with a few 30 plus point blow outs of Washington and Cleveland. We are now 46-12 as we enter the final quarter of the season.

Wall won Player of the Month in the East. Kevin Durant won it in the West.

Laurence Tiner won Rookie of the month in the East. He leads all rookies with 12 ppg. Stelios won it again in the West.

Walsh gets hurt mid March, but he'll play through the injury.

We have a rough patch in Mid-March in which we have a few bad losses, but still not a bad month. We are 56-19 going into the final month of the regular season.

At 56-19, we have the #1 seed in the East wrapped up. Now, it is just about trying to get to 60 wins.

A bad loss to Toronto and the Nets has us needing 2 out of 3 wins in the last 3...

We lose to the Bucks and Knicks. We finish with a 59-23 record. Not bad at all. Nice improvement from last year.

Some final stats:

Mayo 25.7 ppg (career high), 8.3 rpg, 1.5 spg, 1.6 bpg. He shot 51% from the floor and 36% from the arc.

Turner: 20.2 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 6.3 apg, 1.9 spg. Turner shot 50% from the floor and 43% from the arc.

Schultz: 17.4 ppg, 7.9 apg, 2.0 spg, 4.8 rpg, 2.7 turnovers/game. He shot 45% from the floor, 32% from the arc, and 93% from the line.

Scott: 13.4 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.4 bpg.

Kelley: 12 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1 apg.

Walsh: 4.9 ppg, 2.4 rpg.

Jordan: 3.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg.

Gregory: 2.5 ppg, 2.7 apg.

Redd: 1.5 ppg.

Thabeet: 0.9 pg, 5.3 rpg, and 1.1 bpg.

Wow. LeBron has been de-throned as MVP, by an unlikely source. PG/SG Marshall Samuel of the Wolves has won MVP. He averaged 24.6 ppg, 8.4 apg, 4.9 rpg, and 2.3 spg in getting the Wolves into the playoffs.

Stelios won Rookie of the Year. He averaged 9.6 ppg, 10.1 rpg, and 1.3 vpg. He even hit a few 3 pointers.

Wade won 6th man of the year. He averaged 17.1 ppg while coming off the bench this year.

Wilson Rooks of the Bucks won defender of the year. He averaged 2.9 bpg.The 5th year SF (former #2 pick) has become a premiere defender and a very good offensive option for the Bucks.

Donnell Mason of the Wolves won Coach of the Year. He guided them to 60-22 record this year and the #2 seed in the West.

Mayo was named to the All-NBA 3rd team.

Turner was named to the All-Defensive 2nd team.

Playoff Brackets:

#1 Lakers vs #8 Portland
#4 Houston vs #5 Phoenix

#3 SA vs #6 Clippers
#2 Minnesota vs #7 Utah

East:

#1 Philly vs #8 Boston
#4 Indiana vs #5 Nets

#3 Charlotte vs #6 Atlanta
#2 Knicks vs #7 Toronto

1st round results:

The Lakers take 7 games, but they beat Portland.

New Orleans advances in 5.

San Antonio advances in 5.

Minnesota sweeps Utah.

We sweep Boston, but Schultz suffers a heel injury. He'll play through it.

Indiana sweeps the Nets.

Charlotte wins in 6. Toronto advances in 5.

A look at the re-configured Pacers that we will face:

PF Derrick Favors is 6'10 250, 27 years old, and 94 rating. He'll be a tough stop for Kelley. He's averaging 12.6 ppg and 8.6 rpg.

PF/C Anthony Randolph is 6'11 225, 29, and rated 88. He's averaging 20.1 ppg and 8.9 rpg but I think Scott can slow him down. They are starting him at C and using Brook Lopez as a 6th man (which has Lopez furious and demanding a trade.)

PG Darren Collison is 6'0 160, 31, and rated 82 overall. He's averaging 15 ppg and 8 apg but Schultz has the speed to stay in front of him.

C Brook Lopez is 7'0, 260, 31, and rated 86 overall. He's very upset about being a 6th man on this team.

He went from 20.1 ppg with NJ last year to 13.1 ppg this year.

SG Vince Hickman is 6'5 200, 27 and rated 78 overall. He's averaging 14 ppg.

The rest of the team is all rated in the mid to low 60's. We have more depth and should be able to wear them out.

7:56 - Scott picks up his 2nd foul. Thabeet into the game. Turner with an ugly start. We are up 7-5 thanks to very good defense.

7:36 - Walsh in for Kelley. Tied at 7.

7:15 - Mayo gets a 2nd foul on Randolph. We lead 9-7.

5:30 - Schultz with a beautiful behind the back pass to Turner for a dunk! We lead 12-9. They call time. Kelley back into the game. Mayo to SG. Turner with a quick rest.

4:55 - Schultz to Walsh for a nice dunk and a foul. Lopez's 2nd. We lead 14-11.

2:35 - We lead 19-13 as I give Gregory and Redd some time at PG and SG. Robin Scott back into the game. The offense will flow through him.

2:14 - Scott spins off his man and dunks it. Gregory with an easy assist.

End of 1: We are up 27-23. Hickman with 11 leads all scorers. Walsh leads my team with 7. Schultz got him going and he has kept it up!

11 minutes to go: We bring back our starters.

At halftime, we lead 53-42.

Hickman still with 11 points as we shut him down. Schultz with 8 points and 8 assists at the half.

Our starters are dominating them now!

3:10 left as I rest my entire starting unit. We lead 78-55.

End of 3: We lead 82-64.

8:03 - We lead 89-74 as I bring back my rested starters.

3 minutes left: We lead 103-77 as I pull my starters.

We win 107-78.

Very balanced scoring as all 5 starters had at least 15 points!

Schultz is the player of the game as he had 17 points, 13 assists, 4 boards, 3 steals, and only 2 turnovers. He shot 7 of 12, 1 of 3, and 2 of 2.

Scott with 19 points, 12 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 7 of 11.

Mayo with 16 points, 8 boards, 4 assists. He shot 6 of 15.

Redd with 3 points on 1 of 4 shooting.

Thabeet with 2 points, 7 boards, and 2 blocks in 18 minutes.

Hickman led them with 17 points on 5 of 14 shooting.

We held Lopez to 2 of 13 shooting. Favors was held to 3 of 12 shooting.

Their rookie Keller had 9 points on 4 of 9 shooting. I liked him.

We held Randolph to 8 points on 3 of 14 shooting.

Schultz comes out on fire. Beating Collison and getting men open looks for easy jumpers. We are up 17-8 with 6 minutes to go in the 1st.

2:30 - Mayo has rested for the last 3 minutes and they are on a 9-0 run. We are up 19-18 as he returns.

We are up 24-23 at the end of 1. Hickman keeping them in it with 10 points. Schultz with 8 points and 4 assists in the 1st quarter.

6:00 - We are up 40-30. Our defense is smothering Hickman now.

A look at the Lakers roster:

SG/SF Xavier Henry is one of the best shooters in the league. He also had very good defensive and passing skills and excellent athleticism. He is 6'6 220 and 28 years old. He is a MVP candidate. 25.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, and 3.6 apg this past year. He is rated 94 overall.

SF Paul George is 6'8 210 and is 29 years old. He is a very good shooter with elite defensive skills. Best defender on the team and 2nd best scorer. He is rated 91 overall. He is averaging 23 ppg, 8 rpg, 4.3 apg, and 2 spg this year.

SF Gordon Hayward is starting and is a pure shooter. His defense is a bit suspect, but he is such a good offensive player that he gets big minutes. He is rated 85 overall. He is averaging 17.1 ppg, 6.9 rpg, and 3 apg.

SG Jordan Crawford is the top man off the bench. He is 6'4 195 and is 30 years old. He is rated 80 overall. He is averaging 14 ppg and 3.5 rpg. He is one of 5 excellent shooters on this team.

PG Willie Warren is the last of the very good outside shooters on the team. He is 6'4 203 and is a solid ball handler and defender, but his shooting is what makes him dangerous. He is averaging 15.2 ppg and 5.6 apg. He is rated 79 overall.

PG Bruno Petrovic is their top backup PG. He is a pure passer and decent shooter. He is averaging 6 ppg and 3 apg in limited minutes.

C Joakim Noah is their starting C. He is 6'11 230 and is 34 years old. Very limited offensive skills now but a solid defender and rebounder. He is averaging 3 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

PG Neil Torres who I liked in the draft several years ago is much worse than I thought he would be and is at the end of their bench. He is 6'2 187 and is rated 63 overall. He is 28 years old.

PF Jim Slay is their top big off the bench. He is 6'9 253 and is 24 years old. He was the 28th pick in the 2017 draft. He is rated 63 overall. He is averaging 0.6 ppg and 1.8 rpg in limited minutes.

C Brandon Sherman was their 29th pick in the last draft. He is 7'0 235 and is a good rebounding big. He is rated 60 overall. Limited mobility. He is averaging 1.4 ppg and 4.8 rpg in 15 mpg.

Their interior is obviously the weakness of this team and I will try to attack it...

A much more physical game as both sides are playing hard and fouling a lot.

Midway through the 3rd, we lead 66-59.

They close out the 3rd strong with scoring from George and Henry.

At the end of 3, we are up 79-75. Mayo had a huge quarter and now has 36 points for the game.

10:40 - They foul Walsh hard and his back is hurt. He has been our most productive bench player and will be a big loss if he can't get back in there. We lead 83-77.

6 minutes to go: We lead 92-87. Mayo with 39 points.

3:00 - They close within 3, before Mayo hits a traditional 3 point play and Schultz hits a nice floater in the lane. We lead 100-92.

Henry with a 3 and Turner misses an open 14 footer.

Hayward with a 3 and Mayo misses an 18 footer. We are up 100-98.

They get a FT. 100-99.

Turner with a 12 footer. 102-99. 1:20 left...

Henry gets to the line with a nice drive. 102-101.

15 seconds... Schultz drives.. kicks out to Mayo for an open corner 3... he swishes it! Tied at 105.

Mayo leads all scorers with 45 points...

Turner with the first points in OT. He draws a foul and makes both FT's. 107-105.

Turner with 26 points, 6 assists, 3 boards, and 2 steals. He shot 9 of 22, 1 of 3, and 7 of 8.

Schultz with 23 points, 8 assists, 4 boars, 1 steal, and only 1 turnover. He shot 8 of 12.

Kelley with 10 poins, 5 boards, 3 assist, 2 steals, and a block. He shot 5 of 9.

Thabeet with 6 points, 11 boards, and 2 blocks in 38 minutes.

Walsh led our bench with 5 points.

Henry led them with 28 points. 22 points for George.

The news isn't good on Walsh. He is done for the year with a severe back strain.

Scott is done with a partial tear of his MCL!

Ball is still out with his full MCL tear.

Our depth is now very thin.

Our starting 5 will be Schultz, Turner, Mayo, Kelley, and Thabeet.

So, NBA 2k13 is coming out in 2 weeks. I only have a few more gaming days left in those 2 weeks, but I'm off when NBA 2k13 comes out (woot!)

Anyway, I'm going to see if Turner and/or Mayo can get 7 rings or not. I'm going to look at the following seasons from a very high macro level. I'll strictly be simming all games throughout the remainder of their careers.

2 rings down, 5 to go!

We don't have a 1st round pick this year.

The Grizzlies took the clear cut consensus #1 pick, PG Arhtur Neal. He is only 6'0 170 pounds, but he is a dynamic scorer with elite athleticism. The guy is going to be a star.

The Bulls get the clear cut #2, Clayton Bryan, a 6'6 220 pound SG with a nice outside shot.

With the 3rd pick, the Knicks get Max Newman, a 6'5 180 pound SG who is a smooth shooter.

With the 4th pick the Magic reach on a SF.

With the 5th pikc, the Mavs take the best SF in the draft. Willis Graham is a 6'8 210 pound SF who can shoot and defend. He looks like a future star.

The Heat reach for a C with size at #9.

The Rockets take the best pure C, even though he is a bit smaller at #10. Jeff Dillon has future all star potential.

The Clippers get a steal at #19. A C who is raw, but I think has a lot of potential.

With the 28th pick in the 2nd round, we take a PG from Serbia who will be a development project.

The Big FA's this year:

John Wall (96), Tyreke Evans (95), Blake Griffin (93), DeMarcus Cousins (92), Xavier Henry (91), James Harden (91), Stephen Curry (90), Chester Carney (90), Robin Scott (90 - RFA - he insisted on testing the market), Paul George (89), and Deron Williams (88.)

Most of them are on the wrong side of 30...

We sign Scott to a 6 year 116 million dollar deal.

We also sign Jeff Teague, 6'2 180, 70 rating, to an MLE to provide help at the backup guard spots.

The Jazz sign Deron Williams for 3 years 58 million.

Wall returns to the Wizards! 5 years for 115 million!

The Raptors sign Joe Johnson to a 1 year league min deal.

The Warriors sign Stephen Curry to 5 years 115 million.

The Wizards get Tyreke Evans for 5 years 115 million.

The Jazz get Chris Bosh for a 1 year MLE at 5 million.

The Kings get DeMarcus Cousins for 5 years 110 million.

The Magic sign Avery Bradley to 5 years 94 million.

The Pistons replace Wall with Blake Griffin, 5 years 112 million.

The Magic sign Barney Harlan to 4 years 65 million.

The Nets get James Harden for 5 years 130 million.

The Bulls add Xavier Henry from the Lakers for 5 years 115 million.

The Mavs get Cory North for 5 years 92 million.

The Wizards add Darren Collison for 3 years 30 million to play backup guard at both spots.

The Trail Blazer signs DeMar Derozan to a 5 year 100 million dollar deal.

The Wizards sign Tiago Andrade to 4 years 36 million.

The Clippers added Terrell McKinney to a 4 year 54 million deal.

The Hawks get Greg Monroe for 5 years 108 million.

A bunch of other "smaller" deals.

A very active off season!

Ouch! First pre-season game, Mayo breaks his ankle. Out for 2 months!

Despite that, we go 5-2 in the pre-season.

We start off 5-0, but Kelley strains his groin in the 5th game. Now, we are in a bit of trouble. Oh, Kelley can play through it and will as he has been starting at SF and doing well there. We are starting Scott at his preferred PF and Jordan at C with Mayo out.

After a 6-0 start, we lost our next 9 with Kelley playing poorly. We are 7-10 when Mayo returns to the lineup.

We win 10 in a row, but then Kelley re-strains his groin. He'll be less than 100% for another month.

We battle through a few nagging injuries to Kelly and Schultz to reach the All-Star Break at 34-21.

The Rookies beat the Sophomores thanks to 41 points from Newman. That kid can shoot. He shot 12 of 16 including 4 of 4 from the arc.

Orlando's Paul Matthews, the #4 pick, has suprised me and he continued to do well in this game with 24 points.

#1 Pick Neal had 15 points and 11 assists.

The West beat our East team 103-98 in the All-Star game.

Wall led all scorers with 24 points.

None of my players made the team as I guess Mayo missed too much time.

Mayo is leading us with 24 ppg and 9 rpg at the break.

Turner with 19.3 ppg and 5.6 apg. Schultz with 16.4 ppg and 7 apg. Scott with 12.9 ppg and 8.4 rpg.

Despite a bunch of injuries throughout the season, we get healthy the last month and rattle off a 15 game win streak to finish the season 1st in the East with a 55-27 record.

Mayo is leading us with 24.9 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.6 bpg, and 1.2 spg.

Turner with 18.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.5 apg, and 2 spg.

Schultz with 17.2 ppg, 8.1 apg, 5.4 rpg, and 1.7 spg.

Scott with 13.2 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.4 bpg.

Kelley with 10.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.1 apg.

Ball and Teague each at 8 ppg as our backup guards. Ball with 3.4 apg. Teague with 1.6 apg.

Wall and Evans are battling LeBron for MVP. Even at 35 years old, LeBron is averaging 28.6 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and 7.2 apg.

Evans with a career high 27.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and 6.4 apg.

Wall with 25.5 ppg, 7.8 apg, 5.5 rpg, and 2.2 spg.

The Wizards had a 54-28 record. They lack size interior but their top 4 guards are scary good.

The MVP is....

Tyreke Evans!

Arthur Neal wins Rookie of the Year with 14.4 ppg, 9.4 apg, 1.3 spg! Wow. Kid is already up to a 85 rating. Going to be spectacular.

LeBron came in 2nd. Wall in 3rd.

The Playoff Seeds:

West:

#1 Phoenix vs #8 Oklahoma (injuries)

#4 Denver vs #5 Sacramento

#3 Utah vs #6 Dallas

#2 SA vs #7 Minnesota

East:

#1 Philly vs #8 Indiana

#4 Chicago vs #5 Charlotte (Rose vs his old team)

#3 NY vs #6 Nets

#2 Washington vs #7 Miami

We take care of the Pacers in 5.

In the West: Oklahoma is healthy and knocks out Phoenix in 6.

Sacramento wins in 6.

Utah wins in 7 and Minnesota wins in 6.

We will face the Bulls who swept the Bobcats.

Washington and the Nets each advanced in 6.

In our 2nd game, Ball gets hurt and is done for the playoffs. Good that we picked up Teague who will play more minutes for us off the bench...

We beat the Bulls in 5 as our big 4 dominated. Scott averaging 22 ppg in the playoffs.

Sacramento surprises the Thunder and wins in 7!

Utah beats Minnesota in 7.

The Nets surprise the Wizards in 6!

The Nets have a talented interesting starting 5: SG Harden (playing some point), SG O.J. Mayo, SF Terrence Williams, PF Spencer Miller, and C Roy Hibbert. They are all talented and have size.

The Nets test us but we win in 6.

Utah sweeps the Kings.

Teague hurt his back in the last game of that round, but he can play through it.

The Jazz are the most talented teach we've faced these playoffs:

PG Deron Williams (90), SG Ray Humphries (90), SF Michael Beasley (86), PF Kevin Love (80), C Stelios Patsatzoglou (#1 pick just 2 years ago for the Jazz - rated 81 now.)

Off the bench: Bosh (75), Rodney Stuckey (72), D.J. Water (71), and a few young guys rated in the low 60's.

Ball has been cleared for game 2 and is in better shape than Teague.. Ball will become our primary backup.

Despite Teague's ineffectiveness, we win game 1, 115-79.

Mayo, Turner, Scott, and Schultz each had at least 20 points. Turner with 14 assists. Schultz with a triple double - 21 points, 10 boards, 10 assists.

We win game 2, 118-92 behind 33 points from Mayo and 27 from Scott.

Game 3, Scott gets into foul trouble and our offense lags. We lose 110-99.

Game 4, we win 102-95 behind 32 poins, 15 boards, and 10 assists from Mayo.

Game 5, the Jazz edge us out 110-108. Williams with 25 points and 14 assists.

We win in 6! 97-92. Schultz with 33 points and 8 assists. Mayo with 21 points and 10 boards. Kelley with 18 points.

Mayo is Finals MVP!

Notable Players Retiring:

Granger (37 years old), Bosh (36), Amar'e (37), Noah (35), Wade (38), David Lee (37), Joe Johnson (38)

Coaches retiring:

Vinny Del Negro

Amar'e and Wade are inducted in the HOF. Amar'e averaged 19.3 ppg, 8.4 rpg. Wade averaged 23.5 ppg, 5.7 apg, and 4.5 rpg.

In early training camps, Teague and Thabeet are showing their age. Schultz is also losing a slight step.

Here is our first big risk to our run for 7... Evan Turner is insisting on testing out FA... Does he want to be "The Man?"

Oh wow... from a previous trade I made, I have the #2 pick in the draft! WOW!

I get Terrence Rowe. A 6'10 235 pound PF/SF who is compared to LeBron in skill set. He has a terrific shot and is physical and athletic. He is 20 years old and played for Oklahoma last year.

Teams are trying to trade me for him while the draft is going on.

The Hornets got a another SF named Mithcell Graham who I wouldn't have taken 1st and the consensus is that I got the better player. Wow.

Rowe is so good that I might move Kelley back to the bench.

The big FA's:

Evan Turner (95), PF Donnie Hodges (94), SG Owen Blake (94), SF Chester Carney (93), PG Cam Campbell (92), SF Richie Harper (91), SF LeBron James (91), SF Paul George (89), PF Danny Walls (86 - RFA), C Theo Keller (RFA - 84)

We re-sign Turner to 5 years and 131 million dollars.

The Cavs get Theo Keller to sign a new 5 year 95 million dollar deal.

The Grizzlies add Donnie Hodges for a 5 year 121 million dollar deal.

The Rockets sign LeBron to a 1 year 17 million dollar deal.

The Rockets also sign Cam Campbell, the dynamic PG to a 5 year 105 million dollar deal.

The Magic sign Richie Harper to 4 years 86 million.

The Lakers add Danny Walls, a great young PF, for 5 years 95 million.

The Cavs get Owen Blake for 5 years and 113 million.

The Knicks get Paul George for 5 years and 130 million.

The Bucks add Gordon Hayward for 4 years 60 million.

The Grizzlies add Keon Strawberry for 4 years 94 million.

The Raptors add Chester Carney for 5 years 95 million.

Wow. I'm so excited about Terrence Rowe. I wish I was still playing out games just to see his explosive abilities. Kid looks amazing on the scout sheet, even better than I thought:

6'10 240, 21 years old, B+ inside game, A outside game, B- Perimeter defense, B- post defense, B+ Handle (sick on a PF/SF), C Rebounding, A IQ, B+ Athleticism, A potential. Can't believe he was passed up for another SF, although he also looks good in camp.

Rowe will start right away at PF. Our starting 5:

Schultz, Turner, Mayo, Rowe, and Scott.

Kelley (playing big minutes off the bench, can play 3 positions), Ball, Walsh, Jordan, and Alexander leading my bench.

Rowe with 15 points, 5 boards, and 2 assists in his first game.

Rowe with 18 points, 9 boards, and 3 assists in his 2nd pre-season game.

Rowe with 8 points, 16 boards, and 3 assists in his 3rd pre-season game.

Rowe with 17 points and 8 boards in his 4th pre-season game.

Rowe with a 0 point night as he shot 0 of 12 in a loss in his 5th game.

He bounces back with 11 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, and 2 blocks.

CRUD! First game, Turner suffers a serious back injury. He is out for about 2 months.

We move Mayo to SG, Kelley at SF, and Rowe at PF. A nasty lineup with great size. We lost the game to Boston 113-95. Kelley led us with 27 points off the bench. Roew with 11 points, 6 boards, and 5 assists in his debut. He shot 4 of 7 including 1 of 1 from the arc.

We lose our next game too before Mayo takes over in the 3rd game to get us a win. Rowe with 14 points, 12 boars, and 2 assists. Mayo with 25 poins, 14 boards, and 4 steals.

Wow. Our 4th game, Kelley tears his hamstring. He's done for 2 months. Suddenly, we go from depth to a bit thin.

Our starting 5: Schultz, Mayo, Walsh, Rowe, and Scott.

After losing 3 of our first 4, we take off as this starting 5 starts bonding. We go on a 11 game winning streak.

We are 20-6 as Turner returns.

We lose 2 after Turner returns before running off another streak.

A dominant January is ruined by Scott talking to the Press about a lack of shots... He has a career low in scoring and he is upset our other players aren't feeding him the ball enough. This isn't good.

We are 36-12 and playing great basketball.

A week before the All-Star break, Turner seperates his shoulder. He'll be out for 1-2 weeks.

We are 42-13 entering the All-Star break.

Rowe dominates in the Rookie-Sophomore game with 25 points, 13 boards, 3 blocks, and 2 assists. But, his team loses 84-67.

Lenny Mayo wins MVP of the All-Star game with 28 points, 5 boards, and 2 blocks as the East wins 117-96.

We go on another 12 game win streak after the All-star break as Turner only misses 1 game.

We finish out the year 64-18. But, Scott continues to grumble about his lack of shots...

Time for the MVP voting... Mayo is definitely a contender....

The MVP is....

PG Marshall Samuel of the Wolves. He averaged 25.9 ppg, 10.1 apg, 5.3 rpg, and 2.5 spg. Wow. He also shot 54% from teh floor, 95% from the line, and 40% from the arc.

Terrence Rowe wins Rookie of the Year. He averaged 14.8 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.4 agp, 1.2 spg, and 1.1 bpg. He shot 44% from the floor, 73% from the line, and 41% from the arc.

Mayo made All-NBA 1st team and came in 2nd in the MVP voting.

Mayo's stats: 25.4 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.4 spg, and 1.6 bpg.

Schultz: 16.8 ppg, 7.9 apg, 5 rpg, 1.8 spg.

Rowe's first playoff game: 4 points, 3 boards, 1 block. Still, we won 106-104.

Rowe's 2nd game - A career high 22 points, 8 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Mayo with a triple double 24 points, 11 boards, and 10 assists as we cruise to a 2-0 lead...

Schultz breaks a finger and we lose the next 2 games. Schultz can play through it, but he isn't doing well right now...

We go down 3-2. Time to make a change with Schultz not doing well with his finger...

Game 6 starting 5: Turner, Mayo, Kelley, Rowe, and Scott.

Rose lights up Turner and we lose in 6. Wow.

PF Andrew Samuels torched Rowe as well.

The Finals are Minnesota vs the Knicks!

The Knicks win in 5. They were led by Paul George, Ben Pope, and Gallinari who is still averaging 20 ppg. My old C Spencer Hawes came off the bench at C and averged 12 ppg in the series.
