a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation BACKSTORY After a successful 2019 campaign where the Green Bay Packers went 13-3 making it to the NFC Championship, it became apparent the current staff was unconcerned with star QB Aaron Rodgers legacy or the fans expectations. In a surprise move, as the only publicly owned professional sports team, the Packers replaced Mark Murphy as President with Trip Lykely; who would also take over for GM Brian Gutekunst. With a focus on not only continuing the Packers winning tradition, but getting future HOFer Rodgers another ring, Lykely looks to write a new history for the Green and Gold. 2020 Staffing With newly hired HC Matt LaFleur looking to find his QB of the future instead of focusing on the QB and team of now, he and his staff were all let go. Broderick Peterson was brought in as the 16th Head Coach of the Green Bay Packers. Adding former Texans HC Bill O'Brien as Offensive Coordinator the Packers look to run a balanced offense led by a coach capable of training Aaron Rodgers replacement. Sending Mike Pettine and his 34 packing, Raheem Morris will be the new Defensive Coordinator transitioning to a 43 Over scheme. Assistant Kelly Drake rounds out the coaching staff and Ted Rath will be tasked with keeping players healthy and on the field. Notable Free Agents RT Jack Conklin With Brian Bulaga allowed to enter free agency, and David Bakhtiari released for cap and production reasons, the 5th year Jack Conklin was signed to provide an anchor on the right side of the offensive line. Skilled in run blocking and pass protection, Conklin is one of the leagues best tackles. SE Philip Dorsett With Davante Adams the #1 receiving threat for a few years, the Packers finally added a quality #2. An all around playmaker, Dorsett displays excellent route running, hands, and ability to makes plays after the catch. TE Eric Ebron Continuing the theme of providing Aaron Rodgers weapons, the Packers signed Eric Ebron to compliment Robert Tonyan at TE. Not the most precise route runner, Ebron is excellent at gaining yards after the catch while being an adequate run and pass blocker. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft While given an 'A' by pundits, internally Packers staff feels they missed on a few picks. Perhaps forcing the issue a bit with WR DJ Moss in the 1st round and a clear reach for QB Reuben Kolb in the 2nd the Packers struggled to find impact players. Ideally initial scouting reports are off and the class does well in camp and pre-season. Code:
The Packers front office's focus on offense this past offseason led to finishing 2nd in total yards and 1st in scoring. Finishing 6th in TOs and 3rd in TO margin, Green Bay not only moved the ball with ease but protected it as well. With one of the leagues best 3rd down conversion rates and near tops in yards/play the Green Bay offense was able to consistently move the chains and put up points. While QB Aaron Rodgers would miss 5-games to a concussion, he played well when active averaging over 8 YPA. Free agent acquistion, WR Philip Dorsett, would miss several games causing a dip in offensive production during his absence. Missing only 1-game, WR Davante Adams provided a consistent target in the passing game leading the Packers in receiving. Although the ground game wasn't explosive, it was consistent and top-10 in yards/carry with Aaron Jones and Jamal Williams splitting carries; each missing time to injury. Code:
With heavy focus on the offense came neglect for a defense making the transition to a new scheme. Despite ranking 25th in yards allowed the Packers did manage to finish 4th in points allowed with a stout redzone defense. With one of the highest pass defense percentages in the NFL, and the 7th most TOs, the Packers defense bent - a good amount - but did not break. Leading the secondary was CB Jaire Alexander who led the team with 7 INTs, returning two for TDs. With Za'Darius Smith making the move to DE he was expected to make a big impact however missed 12 games during the season. One of the leagues worst pass rushes as a result, Dean Lowry led the team with 6 sacks. Code:
While QB Aaron Rodgers would get his team off to a 3-0 start, he'd suffer a concussion Week 3 in the win at Philadelphia. Rookie backup QB Rueben Kolb stepped in and won 3 of the next 5 games allowing Rodgers a legit chance at guiding Green Bay to the playoffs. Finishing the season 11-5, winning the NFC North, Green Bay had a bye for the Wild Card round. Hosting the Giants in the Divisional round, Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay to victory with 340+ yards and the game winning TD as time ran down in a 33-31 thriller. In the NFC Championship, on the road against the Buccaneers, it was the other Aaron who led the Packers to a win and the Super Bowl with 135+ yards rushing and 2 TDs. Facing Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in the Super Bowl the whole team would come together to bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Title Town; marking Rodgers 2nd Super Bowl victory. Code:

a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2021 Staffing With the Cincinnati Bengals signing Drake Kelly to be their OC, Green Bay added Luther Williamson as their new Assistant Coach. Fresh off a Super Bowl, no other changes were made to the staff. Notable Free Agents Having spent heavily in 2020 to improve the offense and star CB Jaire Alexander in the final year of his contract, Green Bay opted not to sign any free agents of note. While a few UDFAs were added as depth, the Packers focused on improving for next season through the draft. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft League scouts and NFL pundits all agree, the Packers had a great draft class, getting an 'A+' grade. The addition of FB Clayton Allotey adds another receiving and rushing option for one of the leagues best offenses. Adding several offensive lineman that will provide depth - and potentially start long term - in the later rounds was key to the classes grade. While Roman Maxwell looks to make an impact sooner than later on defense, QB Melvin Poston will look to outcompete last years rookie QBs. Code:
Regressing from last years success, in large part due to injuries across position groups including several starters for multiple games, the Packers still finished top-5 in scoring. While still consistent on 3rd down both yards/carry and yards/attempt were down as the offense struggled with efficiency. Rookie Melvin Poston filled in admirably for three games to close out the season giving hope to a future post-Rodgers. The man himself fell short of 7 YPA while posting a 5:4 TD to INT ratio, a significant decline from his prime years. Playing a full season, last years big signing, WR Philip Dorsett played well as Green Bay's #1 receiver with Davante Adams missing several games. While Aaron Jones was banged up some of the year, his production continues to be lower than what scouts feel it should. As a result Jamal Williams took on a larger role and broke 1000 yards leading the Packers in rushing. Code:
Flipping the script from last season, it was the defense that stepped up to help Green Bay win games. With one of the NFLs toughest defenses to move the ball against and top-5 in points allowed, the Packers were improved against the run and pass. Healthy and leading an improved pass rush, Za'Darius Smith led the team with double-digit sacks. Although the rest of the squad would struggle to get home they were able to harass QBs with hurries and knockdowns. One of the strong points of last years unit was creating TOs which fell off in 2021 although the secondary ranked 1st in coverage. Darnell Savage led the team with 4 INTs and Jaire Alexander had 2 INTs and an 86.8 pass defense percentage to lead a strong secondary. Code:
Defending their Super Bowl title the Packers got off to a hot start cruising to an 11-2 record when Aaron Rodgers broke his arm. Expected to miss 5 weeks Green Bay put in 5th round pick Melvin Poston to close out the season. Finishing 1-1-1 the rookie QB helped the Packers again win the NFC North while securing the #1 seed and a 1st round bye. The extra week proved critical as Rodgers returned to action against the Los Angeles Rams. Holding QB Jared Goff to 106 yards and 2 INTs on 25 passes the Packers defense took control while Rodgers put up 340+ yards in a convincing 30-3 win at Lambeau. Hosting the Cardinals in the NFC Championship things were a bit tighter but Jamal Williams 110 yard day along with the defense holding Arizona to less than 2.4 YPC allowed the Packers to win 34-17. Defending their title against the Indianapolis Colts the ground game would be shut down but Rodgers wouldn't be denied as he led the Packers to another Super Bowl win with 325+ yards and 4 TDs; earning his 3rd Super Bowl MVP. a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2022 Staffing With their 2nd Super Bowl win in a row the Packers staff remains intact heading into the new season. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft Trading up in an attempt to acquire a promising WR Green Bay missed out and selected their BPA, OLB Horace Browning. According to scout interviews TE Gallardo is underated so time will tell how big of a role he plays in the offense. With Aaron Jones and Jamal Williams entering their 7th season, and lacking many explosive plays of late, 6th round pick Ronald Ambra was selected to provide youth to the backfield. Boyd and McDaniel add a couple of depth players to the front seven. Overall league scouts give the Packers an 'A-' for their efforts. Code:
Again struggling with efficiency the Packers were middle of the NFL in yards/play and 3rd down conversions. As a result scoring also saw a decline with Green Bay mustering less than 21-points/game. With Rodgers again missing several games, Melvin Poston saw significant playing time, however the passing game struggled regardless who was under center. Due to injuries hitting the Packers harder than usual this season, no one player stood out as a receiver for a lackluster offense. The addition of Ambra to the backfield didn't have the effect Green Bay was looking for as only one back, Jamal Williams, rushed for over 4 YPC. Code:
Allowing both runs and passes at a higher average than most teams, the defense also regressed in 2022. Unable to get off the field on 3rd down opposing teams were able to move the chains and control the clock and game. Finishing 14th in points allowed, the Packers had a mediocre defense at best. While Za'Darius Smith would again lead the team in sacks with 12.5, the unit would finish last in pass rush percentage. While TOs again increased with Green Bay finishing 3rd, a typically strong coverage unit declined finishing 18th. Code:
Winning the Super Bowl each of the last two seasons hopes and expectations were high for the Packers. Unfortunately, after a 3-1 start, injuries began to mount hitting several key starters; including Aaron Rodgers Week 10. With Rodgers sidelined due to a concussion, 2nd year QB Melvin Poston stepped in and struggled as the Packers fell to 6-10 on the season. Failing to reach the playoffs after a 3-year run of NFC Championship game or better, and with Rodgers 39 and having finished his 18th season, there's a sense it may be a while before the Packers are relevant again. a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2023 Retirement QB Aaron Rodgers Beginning his career replacing a legend in Brett Favre, Rodgers became one himself. Winning 3 Super Bowls while having some of the best statistical performances of any QB ever, Rodgers is a surefire HOFer. Staffing Considering 2022 a fluke, the staff that won 2 Super Bowls in the last 3 years was given contract extensions as Trip Lykely and the Packers look to begin the post-Rodgers era. Notable Free Agents QB Nick Foles Although not expected to start, as a veteran with plenty of quality starting experience, Nick Foles was brought in to mentor the young QBs on the team. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft With Miami selecting the only QB to get a 1st round grade from the Packers front office, Green Bay selected Tennessee RB Weston Keck with the 5th overall pick. A player who rarely lost yards in college, and with great speed and vision is also an excellent receiver out of the backfield. In the 3rd QB Dana Peter was selected to compete with Melvin Poston for the starting job Week 1. With several role players added pundits graded the Packers an 'A' for this years class. Code:
Holdouts DE Za'Darius Smith A 9-year vet, and teams sack leader in the final year of his contract, Smith held out for a contract extension. With the Packers looking to get younger they decided not to extend the DEs contract and he reported Week 2. Offense Still one of the leagues better teams on 3rd down, Green Bay continues to struggle with yards/play in the run and especially the pass. Although scoring was improved over last year, at only 23.1 points/game there's plenty of room for improvement. While the rushing game was improved with rookie RB Weston Keck entering the starting lineup, finishing 6th in the NFL, the passing game was noticably worse with the absence of Aaron Rodgers. Melvin Poston would deal with a nagging groin injury that would cause him to miss several games, however there wasn't much difference between him and Nick Foles. With QB struggles came receiver struggles as Davante Adamas led the team in receiving with only 682 yards. Code:
Allowing nearly 5 YPC and a 4th worse 3rd down percentage the Packers defense allowed opponents to control the clock while outscoring the struggling offense. Although slightly better against the pass, the defense as a whole was in the bottom half or third in most categories. Still one of the leagues worst pass rushes, a formerly formidable secondary regressed in pass defense percentage to one of the worst in the NFL. With only 5.5 sacks 4.7 pick Lionel Meier led the team in sacks with 4.2 pick Willie Tate tying Darnell Savage for INT lead with 3. Code:
Winning one more game than last year you could say the Packers improved, but based on the retirement of legendary QB Aaron Rodgers and the decline shown in 2022, its hard to say the Packers are on the uptick. While the ground game was improved and fairly consistent the passing game struggled all season. Confounding matters was a defense that couldn't get off the field leading the a 7-9 finish, missing the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row. Code:

a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2024 Staffing Showing a short leash, GM Trip Lykely replaced HC Broderick Peterson and his staff after two years of decline; despite 2 Super Bowl wins the years prior. At 39 years old Leo Custer is one of the youngest coaches and 17th Head Coach of the Packers. With long time Patriots OC Josh McDaniels and former Jets DC Todd Wash added to the staff Green Bay looks for a fresh start. Retaining Ted Rath to handle strength and conditioning, Green Bay brought in former Lions HC Matt Patricia as an Assistant. Notable Free Agents Although Green Bay had plenty of cap space to work with, they opted not to target any big name free agents instead getting several 'B' grade role players. With another fairly early selection in the draft the Packers will look to capitalize on position acquiring the best player available. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft With TE Mike Gallardo drafted two years prior, Green Bay added another TE in Tommy Knudson. Projected to be an all-around stud in blocking and receiving, the Texas Tech product looks to make an impact sooner than later. Again doubling on a strength, FB Ivan Boyer was selected to improve the backfield while the 3.12 and 4.11 picks would be used on the teams most pressing need. Both Jimmie Swayne and Sean Wilkerson are dual threat QBs with similar attributes who both look to compete with 4th year QB Melvin Poston for the starting job. Another highly rated draft from league pundits, Green Bay received an 'A' for this years class. Code:
Holdouts S Darnell Savage A leader for what was one of the leagues top secondaries, 6th year pro Darnell Savage requested a contract extension before reporting to team facilities. Although his best years are most likely behind him, the Packers front office signed the safety to a 1 year extension. Offense Continuing to build off the ground game, the Packers offense looked much improved with 4th round pick QB Sean Wilkerson under center. Averaging just over 5 YPC as a team while finishing 3rd in 3rd down conversions, Green Bay was able to efficiently control the tempo although they struggled to put up many points. Despite Wilkerson dealing with nagging thumb and ankle injuries he started all 16 games completing just over 65% of his pass with a very nice 4.6:1 TD to INT ratio. Adding an additional 436 yards rushing and the QB accounted for over 3700 yards. Philip Dorsett proved to be the rookies most trusted target as he led to the team in receiving with 90 catches for 1133 yards and 7 TDs. Despite missing time for several games, last years OROTY Weston Keck was the focal point of the Packers attack averaging over 5.2 YPC while leading the league in rushing. While Ambra didn't provide much as secondary rushing option, he continues to be a solid receiver out of the backfield. Code:
Continuing to struggle containing the run or pass the Packers defense did enough to allow an improved offense to win games. Near middle or bottom tier in most every category, Green Bay has many holes on defense. With DE Freels leading the team with 6.5 sacks the pass rush was again wholly inadequate with the secondary performing just as poorly. A solid redzone defense prevented what could have been a catastrophic year for a struggling phase of the Packers. Code:
With 4th round pick Sean Wilkerson beating out fellow rookie Jimmie Swayne and incumbent Melvin Poston for the starting job, Green Bay look significantly better than the past two seasons. Jumping out to a 5-0 start the Packers would reclaim the NFC North finishing 11-5. Hosting the Rams in the Wild Card round, Wilkerson would put on a Rodgers-esque performance completing 24 of 36 pass for 361 yards and 2 TDs putting Green Bay on top 30-20. On the road against a San Francisco team that went to the last two Super Bowls, winning last year, Green Bay's defense would ruin their playoff run. While Keck would average nearly 7.5 YPC and Wilkerson would throw for 250+ yards and 2 TDs the defense would allow the 49ers to put up 38 to the Packers 24 in a crushing defeat. Code:

a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2025 Staffing With a bounce back season after selecting who appears the heir apparent at QB, the Packers retained their coaching staff looking for the team to take a bigger step forward next season. When Sean Fagundez, one of the leagues best trainers, became available Green Bay made the switch as the only change to their staff. Notable Free Agents MLB Fredrick Tripoli A former 6th round pick, Green Bay signed Tripoli to start at MLB this season. Excelling at run defense and one of the NFLs hardest hitters, the 4th year pro looks to help rejuvinate a struggling defense. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft Routinely near tops in post draft grades, Green Bay makes it two straight key drafts - earning an 'A+' this year, focusing on defense heading into 2025. With DE Bernie Farr selected in the 1st and OLB Silas Good - expected to move to DE - the Packers acquire two pass rushers for a unit sorely lacking. Dashawn Preston looks to pair with, and eventually replace, Jaire Alexander as top cover man with Aidan Battle looking to add muscle to the middle of the defense. Helmick looks to be a quality interior lineman and WR Anthony Schwartz may be the steal of the draft. Code:
Holdouts MLB Devin White Entering his 8th season, Devin White held out in the final year of his contract. With the signing of Fredrick Tripoli the Packers chose not to sign White to an extension and he reported for Week 1. Offense Improving drastically, with just under 8 YPA and 5 YPC, the Packers offense was one of the leagues best in QB Sean Wilkerson's 2nd season. Nearly leading the league on 3rd down again, Green Bay was able to put up more yards and score more points (3rd). Missing the first 2 games of the season with an ankle injury sustained in pre-season, Sean Wilkerson drastically improved his YPA despite a decrease in completion percentage. While his TD to INT ratio would fall to just over 2:1 his QB rating still finished north of 90. Spreading the ball around, last years 1st round pick TE Tommy Knudson led the team in receiving with over 850 yards at better than 8.75 YPT. Also posting over 8.5 YPT was 6th year SE DJ Moss who saw additional targets with the departure of Philip Dorsett to free agency. Continuing to be the focus of the Packers post-Rodgers, Weston Fleck led the team and finshed 2nd league-wide with over 1800 yards rushing. Not only did the 3rd year back put up yards at a high rate he only fumbled once. Ambra was able to add an additional 413 yards at over 4 YPC. Code:
Slightly improved, Green Bay was able to fair better against both the run and pass while still struggling on 3rd down. With a more explosive offensive came more passing from opponents to keep up and the Packers secondary responded with the 4th best pass defense percentage. Although the pass rush still struggled, 3rd year DE Lionel Meier posted the highest Packer sack total in three years with 7. Still middling at creating TOs, five Packers recorded 2 INTs or more. Opening up the playbook with more downfield passing for 2nd year QB Sean Wilkerson did the trick turning Green Bay back into one of the NFLs best offenses. Scoring over 30 points in 6 games - and more than 40 in 3 - the Packers won the NFC North with a 13-3 record, again earning a first round bye. Hosting the Saints, Green Bay was unable to stop one of the leagues best rushing attacks, allowing just under 200 yards at better than 5.5 YPC. With New Orleans scoring the go ahead TD with just over 2-minutes in the 4th, Green Bay would end the game one-and-done losing 23-20 in a heartbreaking loss. Code:

a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2026 Staffing Winning his first COTY award, and in his 2nd year with QB Sean Wilkerson, Leo Custer and his staff will be back next year to try and win the Lombardi Trophy. Switching to Spencer Ross as Strength Coach should help decrease the amount of time players miss to injury as well as help them avoid them. Notable Free Agents Although RB Ronald Ambra was allowed to test free agency, Green Bay ultimately re-signed him for 2 years. While not a big move, WR Darrel Fitzgerald provides reliable depth with Davante Adams no longer on the team. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft Moving around several times during a busy draft, Green Bay added playmakers to an aging and depleted receiver group. With Flannery and Peck the highest graded WRs on the Packers board they moved up in the 1st to select Flannery knowing they could get Peck with a mid-round pick. Al Raymond looks to bolster one of the NFLs worst pass rushes with Jones providing depth at safety. Bobby Rossel and Shawn McDaniel may have been reaches as positions of need more than the best player available. Code:
Holdouts WR DJ Moss With a career year, the 7th year pro decided to holdout until receiving a contract extension, however having draft 4 WRs in the last two drafts Green Bay chose not to extend his contract. Offense The Packers continue to have one of the leagues best offenses, anchored in an efficient ground game that averaged over 5.1 YPC. Routinely one of the leagues best on 3rd down, Green Bay played near mistake free on offense with the leagues fewest TOs. Missing several games, 3rd year QB Sean Wilkerson played well when active improving on his TD to INT ratio and completion percentage. Stepping in during his absence was fellow 3rd year QB Jimmie Swayne. Although not as polished as Wilkerson, Swayne showed promise winning games while completing passes at a good rate for consistent yardage. Knudson still led the team in receiving, despite missing multiple games, in large part due to his ability to make plays after the catch. Last years 5th round pick, WR Anthony Schwartz, played well as Green Bay's #1 WR although rookies Flannery and Peck showed promise and improvement over the course of the season. Again the focus for Green Bay was using the run to set up the pass and Weston Peck delivered with another 1800+ rushing yards finishing 2nd in the NFL. With an average age of 25.8, Green Bay is the youngest team in the NFL with a strong core group of players operating one of the best offenses. Code:

Still struggling against the run and on 3rd down the unit performed best when it mattered most, finishing 1st in points allowed. Last years 1st round pick, DE Bernie Farr led the team and league with 16.5 sacks as a one man wrecking crew. With an 11.7% individual pass rush percentage and 3 FF the young playmaker was the unquestioned leader of an improved defense. Although performing better against the pass, the secondary didn't generate an exceptional amount of TOs however 5 players recorded multiple INTs. Code:

While the team wouldn't fully regain its early steam for consistent stretches they would successfully defend their NFC North title while earning the #2 seed and a first round bye going 12-4. Among the all-time leaders in yards, TDs, and with the best TD to INT ratio and QB rating, Rodgers may have been the most talented player to ever play QB. Shifting to more of a pass first offense, Green Bay continues to lead the NFL in several categories as one of the best offenses. Getting off to a hot start, Wilkerson would suffer a concussion that would see him sidelined the remainder of the regular season. Although the Packers shopped Jimmie Swayne, only division rivals were top suiters so the team opted to keep him. Stepping in Swayne had a nice season making plays and goin 6-3-1 as a starter. Former leading receiver, TE Tommy Knudson had another nice year but was supplanted by 2nd year WR Mitch Flannery who caught 99 passes for 1251 yards. Attention to defense this past offseason paid off as the chink in Green Bay's armor stepped up with a nice season. Improving to 9th on 3rd down while decreased YPC allowed to 4.04 the unit was able to stop drives and allow their offense to win games. With Al Raymond and Bernie Farr combining for 19.5 sacks one of the leagues worst pass rushes for years reached 7th in pass rush percentage. Still struggling to create TOs the Packers defense still has room for improvement, but after several seasons in the statistical basement things are moving in the right direction. Code:
Jumping out to a hot 6-0 start after being named #1 in the Week 1 Power Ratings, Green Bay was delivered a devastating blow with rising star QB Sean Wilkerson suffering a concussion and missing the remainder of the season. Drafted in the same class - and almost traded - Jimmie Swayne stepped in to lead the leagues #1 scoring offense and a 12-3-1 record, winning the NFC North for the 4th year in a row. With Wilkerson probable but recovering from a head injury, and Swayne playing well, Green Bay started the QB who closed out their season against the Panthers. With Keck contributing over 200 yards Swayne threw for 296 yards 3 TDs and 1 INT in the 34-20 victory. Heading into the NFC Championship, against a 49ers team that has dominated the NFC for years, Green Bay had a choice with Wilkerson cleared medically. a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2028 Retirement RT Jack Conklin Added to the team in GM Trip Lykely's first offseason through free agency, Conklin would anchor an offensive line that was routinely among the leagues best in run and pass protection. Making one All-Pro team and winning 2 Super Bowls, Conklin was one of the leagues best tackles during his tenure. CB Jaire Alexander One of the NFLs best cover corners for 10 years, Alexander retires for the team that drafted him. Leading what was one of the leagues best secondaries, Alexander made two All-Pro teams during his career. Staffing Falling just short of the Super Bowl for the 2nd season in a row, HC Leo Custer decided to move on from OC Josh McDaniels with Byron Leftwich. A former NFL QB and OC for several teams, Leftwich - like McDaniels - is an Erhardt-Perkins disciple with a focus on QBs. Leftwich excels at developing young and veteran players, which is something McDaniels lacked. Despite the defense finally improving, Najee Goode replaced Todd Wash as DC - still running a 43 Over. A better interviewer and evaluator of young talent, Goode fits well with the Packers 'build through the draft' philosophy. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft Moving up in the 1st Green Bay selected who they believe will be a fixture on the offensive line for a decade or more in Warren Jones. With RB Weston Keck entering his 6th season, a back with excellent vision, Josue Becker was picked at the end of the 2nd round. With a couple more WRs added to one of the best units in the league the offense again saw attention in the draft. While Whalen will stay at OLB, Berry will make the move to DE as a true pass rusher. Not as noteworthy of a draft class as years prior but still a strong year receiving an 'A' from pundits. Code:
Although the rushing game saw a decline in efficiency the passing game led the league with over 8 YPA. Finishing 1st on 3rd down, with the most yards and points, Green Bay had the NFLs best offense in 2028. With Wilkerson missing 18 games over the last three seasons his durability, and the decision to trade backup Jimmie Swayne, were in question. Playing all 16 games Wilkerson had his best season with 4500+ yards at just under 8 YPA. With 1st and 4th round picks from 2026, Mitch Flannery and Maxwell Peck, each posting 1100+ yards and TE Tommy Knudson just shy of 1000, Green Bay has a trio of pass catchers just entering their prime. Although a decline by his standards entering the season with a career average over 5 YPC, Weston Keck would lead the team in rushing with 1500+ yards and 17 TDs. Now with 6 seasons behind him, Keck joins the 10k Yard Club while averaging nearly 15 TDs per year. Code:
After improving significantly last season the Green Bay defense regressed in nearly every way except 3rd down and TOs. Allowing more points made winning games more difficult despite having the leagues best offense. Allowing nearly 5.5 yards/rush and nearly 65% completions made games much closer than they should have been. While the team as a whole fell in pass rush percentage, the duo of Farr and Raymond were solid combining for 19 sacks with an additional 7 from OLB Bryant Austin. Almost as though its a forgone conclusion, Green Bay again took the NFC North for the 5th season in a row after going 11-5. With one of the NFLs best trainers came one of the teams healthiest seasons. Unfortunately, despite good health the defense would perform poorly costing the team wins and a first round bye. Hosting the Rams in the Wild Card round the Packers struggled heavily on the ground with Weston Keck only managing 40 yards. Looking more focused than ever Wilkerson took control connecting on 27 of 32 passes for 393 yards and 4 TDs - 174 yards and 2 TDs to WR Maxwell Peck - in the 34-7 blowout at Lambeau. Next week the flu would hit the team before its road trip to Dallas and prove to be the difference in the game. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft and then before Week 1 Addressing an area of need and grabbing the drafts best guard, Green Bay selected Nickolas Vanden Bosch with their 1st pick. Adding two more lineman GM Trip Lykely continues to fortify the Packers offensive line with several key starters in the twilight of their careers. While Ivan Boyer has done well at FB his replacement was selected in Neal Curl. Campbell provides more muscle and pass rush for the interior of the DL while Heredia will make the switch to DE. With Jimmie Swayne traded to Pittsburgh for a 1st round pick last year, Green Bay has had a hole at backup QB. Anthony Jarvis may be just who they were looking for in the 6th. Week 1 Season Outlook With rookies RG Vanden Bosch and LDT Campbell having monster training camps and preseasons, this year's draft class looks especially strong. Although not quite 199th, Green Bay's 186th pick, QB Anthony Jarvis also had a nice preseason with scouts whispering comparisons to Tom Brady. An OLB in college, Heredia looks to be a natural at DE in Green Bay's 43 Over scheme and should see snaps like several other rookies. Code:
Offense Repeating as the NFLs #1 offense, Green Bay again led the league in yards and points. Finishing 1st on 3rd down conversions and 1st in TOs and TO margin, the Packers offense easily moved up and down the field, scoring at will, while protecting the football better than anyone. Star QB Sean Wilkerson again played a full season posting a similar statline to last years MVP season with 4600+ yards at nearly 8 YPA with 28 TDs and 8 INTs. Again leading the team in receiving was Mitch Flannery with 1350+ yards on 102 receptions. Although Maxwell Peck was injured the first 5 games of the season, he'd finish the year with nearly 1000 yards at better than 8.6 YPT. After a significant drop in YPC last season, Keck again showed he's lost a few steps. Averaging less than 4 YPC the future HOF back had the lowest rushing yards of his career with 1333 and now 11,600 for his career (18th all-time). Code:
Despite being one of the NFLs best at creating TOs, the Packers defense continues to be the achilles heel to an otherwise great Green Bay team. Finishing 26th in yards allowed and on 3rd down the Packers couldn't get off the field but tightened up slightly in the redzone tying for 10th with 18.8 points allowed/game. While the pass rush had been the lone bright spot of an otherwise lackluster defense, this season Green Bay couldn't generate much pressure with no Packer recording over 8.5 sacks. Similar to last season, the offense rolled while the defense made games close for the Packers as they won the NFC North again with an 11-5 record. Although rated #1 in the Week 1 Power Ratings, Green Bay would get off to a rough start going 6-5 before getting hot with a 5 game win streak to enter the playoffs. Earning a 1st round bye and hosting the Seahawks, Green Bay would begin their playoff run without longtime star RB Weston Keck. Filling in admirably Josue Becker ran for 89 yards and a TD on 21 carries while the defense harassed Seattle QBs with 4 sacks and 2 INTs. Holding the Seahawks to 3.04 yards per pass Green Bay was able to control the game and win 26-11. Facing the Giants in Lambeau for the chance to go to the Super Bowl RB Josue Becker would have another solid game averaging over 4.2 YPC while Wilkerson would struggle. Although he didn't throw an INT, the star QB managed only 182 yards on 32 passes. The difference in a close 26-24 victory would be the unheralded Packers defense and their 3 INTs. Back in the Super Bowl for the first time since Rodgers won his 3rd in 2021, Green Bay played the team Rodgers beat in his 1st Super Bowl win; the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers, led by former Packer Jimmie Swayne - who the Packers traded for a 1st round pick - excitement was high as two QBs drafted the same year by the same team faced off in the biggest game of the year. Playing well throughout the postseason, Green Bay continued the trend forcing Swayne into 2 INTs while allowing the former Packer to throw for only 139 yards. Sean Wilkerson stepped up to prove pundits wrong in that he could win big games and the Packers picked the right QB, threw for 299 yards and 2 TDs - earning Super Bowl MVP - in the 23-13 victory. Although there were rumors the Packers would sign Joe Judge and transition back to a 3-4, ultimately Custer kept his Super Bowl winning staff intact. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft and then before Week 1 Maybe out of habit, league pundits again gave the Packers an 'A+' for this years draft although internally scouts feel they may have missed on a few picks. Believing Lancaster could be a shutdown corner he was Green Bay's 1st selection, though he may have been available with the 2.32 pick. Both Lester and Adjemian provide depth for the front seven and Vaughn another interior lineman. With Buckley and Browning the Packers were looking for eventual starters, however if initial scouting is accurate the search continues. Code:
Holdouts DE Al Raymond Having led the team in sacks and been a starter for several years the 5th year DE demanded more money before reporting to camp. With 2nd year DE Myron Heredia looking ready to take a big step in 2030 the Packers opted not to extend Raymond's contract and he reported before Week 1 of the preseason. Week 1 Season Outlook With scouts souring on most of this years rookie class after pre-season, it doesn't look as though many rookies will make an impact this year or down the road. Although scouts are slightly higher on TE Jimmy Buckley and RB Johnny Browning, its still unlikely either makes much of a contribution. Consistency is typically a good thing, however with the Packers consistently being among the leagues worst defenses, the rule is broken. Middling in points allowed while near bottom in yards allowed the Packers were 29th on 3rd down. While the sqaud finished 14th as a unit, the DE rotation of Farr, Raymond, and Heredia combined for 30.5 sacks and 57 hurries. Starting the season hot with a passing game averaging over 8.5 YPA, the Packers rolled to an 8-1 start only to struggle down the stretch. With the NFC North and a first round bye on the line Green Bay suffered a huge hit as 2-time MVP Sean Wilkerson suffered a concussion. Although having a down year, Wilkerson is still one of the leagues best QBs who was now lost for the year. Former 6th round pick Anthony Jarvis got the Week 17 start and win on 21 of 27 passing for 283 yards 3 TDs and 1 INT. Hosting the Saints in the Divisional round the young QB would play solidly with 250+ yards 2 TDs and 2 INTs, but it would be future HOF RB Weston Keck and his 157 rushing yards that would seal the 20-17 win. Facing off against the 49ers - the only other team to win 3 Super Bowls since GM Trip Lykely took the Pack over - Keck would again turn back the clock averaging over 6.2 YPC en-route to 125 yards. Going 20 of 29 for 266 yards and 2 TDs QB Jarvis Anthony continued to show poise in place of Sean Wilkerson. Defending their title from last season, and looking at Super Bowl win #4 in the Lykely era, Anthony led an all-around offensive performance that kept the Lombardi Trophy in Title Town. With 108 yards on 22 carries from Weston Keck, Anthony Jarvis was able to throw an incredibly efficient 18 of 23 for 295 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT. Mitch Flannery made defenders miss and racked up 137 yards on 6 catches as the main reason the young QB Anthony won Super Bowl MVP. Code:

Not only was Green Bay great in 2031 they were great historically with 99 yards shy of the New Orleans Saints yardage record and the 23rd member of the 500+ point club in the Super Bowl era. With Sean Wilkerson attempting more passes than any prior season he delivered with over 5200 yards at nearly 8 YPA with 33 TDs and 13 INTs. Stepping up with the All-Pro WR duo of Maxwell Peck and Mitch Flannery missing 3 and 5 games respectively, TE Tommy Knudson had his best season in his 8th year with 101 receptions for 1250+ yards. Cleared medically but significantly downgraded by Packer scouts after a knee injury suffered Week 17 last season, Weston Keck road the bench all year as Josue Becker and Johnny Browning provided a 1-2 punch for the NFLs #1 rushing attack combining for 1788 yards and 24 TDs. With teams forced to pass, facing one of the best offenses in NFL history, the Packers ranked 9th in YPA allowed and 6th on 3rd down. Losing their next game to the Cowboys and then the Bears in Week 15, the Packers would finish with their best win total since GM Trip Lykely took over at 14-2; winning the NFC North for the 8th season in a row. Hosting the 49ers, Wilkerson and the passing game would put on a show as he threw for 325+ yards and 3 TDs with 245 of those yards to the WR tandem of Peck and Flannery in a 44-21 blowout. Outdoing themselves at Lambeau, with the Panthers in town, the Packers put up 55 to Carolina's 9 as Wilkerson posted a perfect 158.3 QB rating to go along with his 331 yards and 4 TDs. Facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and former Packer QB Jimmie Swayne - for the 2nd time in a Super Bowl in 3 years - tensions were high. Although Green Bay took home the Lombardi when the two teams faced each other in 2029, it would be Swayne and his 233 yards and 3 TDs that would flip the outcome of the Super Bowl rematch as the Packers were sent home without the Lombardi Trophy after winning it two years in-a-row. a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2032 Retirement RB Weston Keck Drafted with the 5th overall pick in 2023 out of Tennesse, Weston Keck was the focal point of the Packers offense in transition from HOF QB Aaron Rodgers. Beginning his career with 6 straight seasons of 1500+ yards rushing - 3 in-a-row of 1800+ - Keck was one of the most productive backs during his career. Suffering a severe knee injury the last game of the 2030 regular season, Keck wouldn't play another snap for the Packers. Finishing 11th all-time, ahead of Jim Brown and behind Tony Dorsett, with 12,688 rushing yards Keck averaged 4.74 YPC over his career as one of the most productive backs in history. With only 5 players having rushed for more TDs, in only 9 seasons the former Vol has a solid case to ultimately wear a Gold Jacket. Staffing Losing a Super Bowl is never easy, but having won the two prior - and lost last years to a QB the Packers drafted in the 3rd and traded for a 1st - Green Bay feels good about its staff and how they've assembled the team. Leo Custer, a 6-time Coach of the Year winner, made no changes for 2032. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft and then before Week 1 With former All-Pro C Derrick Farley in his 10th season the Packers look for his future replacement in Manuel Zellers. With Sean Wilkerson in-and-out of the lineup to injury all season, Anthony Jarvis saw plenty of action performing fairly well with a 90.3 QB rating. With the 3rd stingiest defense on 3rd down, the Packers finished 3rd allowing only 16.4 points/game. With a much improved defense the slight dip in offense production was barely noticed as Green Bay cruised to an 8-0 start before Sean Wilkerson would again be injured. While Anthony Jarvis would lose his first game in relief he'd win every other contest he started as the team went 15-1 winning their 9th consecutive NFC North title. With a hot Atlanta team heading to Lambeau the return of WR Maxwell Peck would prove to much to handle as the receiver went off for 139 yards and a TD on 9 catches in the 29-19 win. Again with 300+ yards passing and 2 TDs, QB Sean Wilkerson went to work against the 49ers as the Packers would go on to win 38-13 to play in their 4th Super Bowl in 4 years. With Browning and Buhl contributing 121 yards on 22 carries the Green Bay offense was able to control the clock in a close game. Failing to make much happen in the air, Wilkerson failed to throw a TD while throwing an INT and posting a sub-70 QB rating. At 63 Spencer Ross is no longer the trainer he once was and was replaced by Conrad Cochrane as the only change to this years staff. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft and then before Week 1 Consolidating almost all of their draft picks, the Packers moved up to #4 overall to select WR Casey Tautuaa out of Arizona State. The former Sun Devil looks to be a younger version of All-Pro's Mitch Flannery and Maxwell Peck. With one of the NFLs best WR duos entering their 8th season, Tautuaa will be expected to contribute sooner than later. Offense Again leading the league in YPA the Packers passing game looked more explosive than ever until Wilkerson suffered a concussion Week 12. Although the backfield committe didn't perform great, with the addition of Wilkersons 424 rush yards at 7.57 YPC the team averaged over 4.5 YPC as a whole Finishing 1st in total yards, 3rd down, and points scored, the Packers continue to set the bar for NFL offenses. With the NFLs 4th best pass rush Green Bay was able to finish 8th in opponent completion percentage and 6th on 3rd down. The overall efforts of the defense led to the 4th fewest points allowed while finishing 11th in yards allowed. Leading one the leagues best pass rushes was the DT/DE duo of Andrew Riti and Jasen Stahl who combined for 21 sacks. Like Edwards, Stephenson is an excellent interviewer and scout who should be able to aid the team in continuing to find quality talent in the draft. Notable Free Agents Typically inactive during free agency and instead opting to extend contracts for players in their final year, Green Bay ran into their first real salary cap issue this season. With a number of longtime starters and young up and comers due for extension, the 2035 team may be the last to truly resemble the 3-time Super Bowl winning squad of '29, '30, and '32. Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft and then before Week 1 For the 3rd year in a row Green Bay selected a WR in the 1st round with Logan Martins out of Appalachian State looking to compete for targets. While Spiak can play all LB positions, he may be best suited for DE as one of the drafts best pass rushers - it will all depend on if he can gain weight during camp. Rodgers looks to join a strong DL rotation with O'Donnell potentially starting down the road. With C Manuel Zellers entering his 5th season and with a scouted grade of 89, its unlikely Lockwood will see snaps at C although he could make a move to G. Clay should be a solid nickel and dime corner one day with Collins the only QB on the roster aside from 11 year veteran Sean Wilkerson. Code:
WR Maxwell Peck Entering his 10th season, and one of the leagues most productive receivers of the past decade, Peck demanded more money before reporting to camp. Although in a tight situation, as a team leader and still scouted higher than nearly every other NFL receiver, Green Bay signed Peck to a 3 year deal. Week 1 Season Outlook With scouts increasing their grade on 5 of 7 rookies this years class looks much improved over the last two. Although hoping for more from Martins, he could make a solid #2 WR or great #3 if Green Bay can find another young receiver in next years draft. With Lockwood and O'Donnell having great camps, the offensive line only looks more improved heading into next season. And although not a huge improvement in rating from scouts, QB Jermaine Collins looks like he may be able to handle starting duties when Sean Wilkerson finally hangs it up. Code:

Hosting the Los Angeles Rams, Mitch Flannery and Jeffrey Plichta each contributing 120+ yards allowed Sean Wilkerson to easily lead the Packers to a 37-9 win at Lambeau. Facing the Giants in the NFC Championship Green Bay would again utilize their explosive passing game, missing All-Pro WR Maxwell Peck, to put up nearly 400 passing yards en-route to a 37-23 victory with Casey Tautuaa and Jeffrey Plichta contributing 120+ yards each. Back in the Super Bowl for the first time in 3 years, Green Bay did what they do best completing passes downfield as Sean Wilkerson had a 398 yard 4 TD game and MVP winning performance. Code:

a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2036 Hall of Fame RB Weston Keck Although his career was cut short to knee injury, Keck would play 9 seasons - all with the Packers - after being drafted 5th overall in 2023. With 12600+ yards rushing and 100+ rushing TDs, few backs were as productive as the former Packer; averaging 1409 rushing yards and 11.9 TDs per season over the course of his career. The first player drafted by GM Trip Lykely to make the Hall of Fame, Keck wasn't just one of the greatest Packers, but one of the greatest NFL players. Retirement TE Tommy Knudson Playing all 12 seasons of his career with the Packers after being drafted 10th overall in 2024, Tommy Knudson was a key part of the Packers multiple Super Bowl wins. With 8 seasons of at least 63 catches and 795 yards, the former Texas Tech product was a consistent mismatch for defenders in the passing game. With 709 catches for 8392 yards he finishes 5th behind Shannon Sharpe on the TE career receiving list. While tied for 13th in TDs by a TE, Knudson may be on the cusp of the HOF. Time will tell how history is written however for Packer fans he was one of the greats. Staffing With HC Leo Custer receiving an obvious extension, and trainer Conrad Cochrane resigned as well, Assistant Sammie Stephenson was replaced by Shane Steichen. The former Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach looks better equipped to train up QB Sean Wilkersons eventual replacement. Although a decline in YPT, WR Casey Tautuaa again led the team in receiving with 117 receptions for 1425 yards and 10 TDs. Also recording 1000 yards receiving seasons again were TE Jeffrey Plichta and perrenial All-Pro WR Maxwell Peck. With Prior falling 14 yards short of 1000 yards, he's had the best individual season of a Packer RB since Weston Keck hung up his cleats. Code:
Allowing roughly 1 YPC more than the last few seasons the Packers were significantly worse against the run while finishing as one of the leagues best defenses against the pass. With one of the best coverage units, and a middle of the pack pass rush, Green Bay was able to play adequately while finishing 5th in TOs. Leading the mediocre pass rush was rookie 1st round pick DE Dana Benson with 7.5 sacks. Transitioning from FS to SS appears to sparked Peyton Stevens career as he made his first All-Pro team last season while leading the team in tackles (113) and INTs (7) this season. Code:
With Wilkerson out of the lineup for the first 6 games, Green Bay morphed into a run first balanced offense, winning 5 of 6 to start the year. The veteran QB and passing game returned in full force with a 59 point game against the Seahawks Week 9 as Green Bay changed back to a pass heavy attack to close out the season. Finishing 12-4, and 2nd in the NFC North - the first season not winning the division since 2023 - Green Bay would not get a 1st round bye in the playoffs. On the road in San Francisco a familiar statline would play out as Sean Wilkerson would put up 418 yards and 4 TDs - 198 yards and 2 TDs to Casey Tautuaa - in the 40-30 shootout. Travelling to Minnesota against the NFC North winners, the Packers pulled out a close 34-27 win by again leaning on Wilkerson and Tautuaa in the passing game. Marking their 3rd road game of the playoffs this year, Green Bay won a 30-27 nail biter in Dallas where Peck, Tautuaa, and Plichta would all record 100+ yards receiving. In their 6th Super Bowl in 8 years Green Bay would face off against a familiar opponent in QB Jimmie Swayne and the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Wilkerson has had a phenominal career as Packers QB after being drafted 4.11 in 2024, Jimmie Swayne too has had a nice career for Pittsburgh after also being drafted by the Packers in 2024 with the 3.12 pick. In the 3rd Super Bowl matchup between 2 QBs drafted the same year by the same team - each with league and Super Bowl MVPs on their mantle - it would be Wilkerson who came out on top to take the series 2-1 marking the Packers 5th Super Bowl in 8 seasons. With 323 TDs (11th) to 108 INTs the Mississippi gunslinger ranks 4th all-time behind Tom Brady with a 2.99 TD to INT ratio. With 5 YPC and 8.11 YPA the Packers averaged more yards/play than anyone en-route to the #1 scoring offense yet again. Leading the league on 3rd down and in yards Green Bay didn't skip a beat with a new QB under center. Missing a little time to an elbow injury, Robinson played well throwing for over 4500 yards at just over 8 YPA with 25 TDs to 9 INTs. As incumbent receiving leader, Casey Tautuaa proved to be the young QBs favorite target, as he again led the team with 117 receptions for 1700 yards. While receiving fewer targets, longtime Packer star WR Maxwell Peck had a nice year with 53 catches for 764 yards and 5 TDs at nearly 10 YPT. The RB Trio of Harvey, Conway, and Brennan proved a solid committee as the team averaged 5 YPC with Harvey leading the team in rushing with 937 yards and 12 TDs. Code:

With the #2 pass rush and #5 pass defense percentage Green Bay was able to hold opponents to the 5th fewest YPA while facing more pass plays than any defense in the NFL. Finishing 3rd in points allowed, the defense allowed the Packers to average a 2-score victory over the course of the season. Back in the conversation for leagues best pass rush, Green Bay didn't have any player record double-digit sacks with DE Jasen Stahl's 8.5 sacks leading the team. Only the '72 Dolphins and '07 Patriots have done what Green Bay did by finishing the regular season undefeated, 16-0, reclaiming the NFC North. With 1st overall pick QB BJ Robinson playing at a very high level the Packers offense rolled while the defense created opportunities leading to an undefeated season. Hosting the Cardinals in the Divisional round Robinson would connect with WR Casey Tautuaa 8 times for 119 yards and 2 TDs as part of his 295 yard performance in the convincing 24-6 win. Back in the NFC Championship, at Lambeau hosting the Cowboys, both QBs would throw for over 300 yards in a 34-27 shootout won on a TD to TE Jeffrey Plichta late in the 4th. With an incredible regular season, going 16-0, and a great playoff run, rookie QB BJ Robinson showed his lack of experience in the biggest game of the year. Falling just short of 300 yards the QB would fail to throw a TD while tossing 2 INTs in a game decided by 6 points. When QB Sean Wilkerson abruptly retired the expectation was Green Bay may take a step back from the greatness of the last decade. a Green Bay Packers FOF Simulation 2038 Draft Class Scouted ratings are directly after the draft and then before Week 1 Without a 1st round pick the Packers did fairly well finding a solid replacement P, backup C, and two OLBs for the LB rotation. Although RB Sedrick Wilkerson doesn't appear a feature back he looks to work well in the backfield committee with excellent vision. Unfortunately Farr was unable to gain enough weight to play DE where he would excel as a natural pass rusher so time will tell where he fits in the defense. Code:
Week 1 Season Outlook With OLBs Elliott and Newton impressing during camp and preseason scouts believe each has a higher ceiling than previously thought. Ralph Burke also impressed and may make a move to G at some point as a result. While the other draft picks all lost a little favor among scouts the class as a whole is solid, although P Deron Copeland is a disappointment looking quite average. Code:
Offense The most explosive offense in the NFL continues its reign as the Packers averaged 4.76 YPC and 8.61 YPA. Finishing 1st with just under 450 yards of offense/game Green Bay again led the league in scoring with 35.6 points/game - one of the highest scoring seasons in NFL history, 2nd under GM Trip Lykely. Missing two games to an abductor injury, Robinson took a step forward his sophomore season by increasing his completion percentage, YPA, and TD to INT ratio; again posting 4500+ yards with 35 TDs to 11 INTs. Despite missing 4 games to a knee injury, Casey Tautuaa - the fastest player in the NFL with a 4.25 second 40 yard dash - led the team in receiving with 91 receptions for 1477 yards and 12 TDs. In a breakout season, 5th year WR Herman Hodges finished 2nd on the team with 81 receptions for 1231 yards and 11 TDs with over 10.5 YPT. With the 1st 1000 yard season by a Packers RB since Weston Keck in 2030, Jerry Harvey led the team in rushing again with 1041 yards. Code:
Finishing top-5 in YPC and YPA the Green Bay Packers defense proved difficult against the run or pass. While struggling on 3rd down the leagues 2nd best pass rush and run defense held opponents to the 2nd fewest yards and 2nd fewest points. Ranking 1st in TOs, the Packers focus on secondary players with ballhawking skills appears to be paying off. Leading the dominant pass rush was 3rd year DE Dana Benson with 10.5 sacks and 33 hurries. While the secondary played well, the main difference in TOs and pass coverage came from the All-Pro play of LBs David Spiak and Harry Craig who combined for 8 INTS. The LB duo was integral to a improved defensive season as they also added 12 sacks, 4 FF, and 4 TDs. Code:
After a 16-0 season only to lose the Super Bowl, Green Bay came out hotter than ever scoring at least 37 points and winning their first 5 games. When injuries began to hit the OL, including C Manuel Zellers, the offense began to perform slightly worse, although the team would roll to a 14-2 finish winning the NFC North for the second year in a row. With the Panthers headed to Lambeau the Packers would put on a show for their fans as QB BJ Robinson would throw 24 for 30 with 375 yards and 3 TDs in the 51-19 beat down. With RB Jerry Harvey going off for 127 yards and 2 TDs on 17 carries there was little the Cardinals could do as Robinson would throw another 300+ yards and 3 TDs in the 37-11 win. Facing the team that ruined what would have been only the 2nd perfect season in NFL history, the Texans would square off against the Packers again in the Super Bowl. While Hodges and Tautuaa would combine for 318 yards on 18 catches BJ Robinson would only manage 1 TD in the low scoring Super Bowl. With 29 seconds in the 4th K Steve Jacobsen would lineup and make a 57 yard FG to send the game to OT tied 16-16. Winning the toss and receiving only to be forced to punt, Green Bay's defense stepped up to force Houston to punt it right back. Marching down the field Green Bay set up K Steve Jacobsen again, this time from 30 yards out, and 7th year veteran nailed it marking the Packers 6th Super Bowl victory in 10 seasons - 8 in the 19 years GM Trip Lykely has managed the team. This is obviously a bit easy with no restrictions on what I can do within the rules of FOF. It may be interesting to see what kind of numbers the QB puts up with what I've learned/tweaked in my playbook. If anyone is interested in seeing this play out let me know, otherwise I think after 20 seasons its time to shelf it for something more challenging.
