Iowa has a punter that cant kick it further than 35 yards. When we go 3 and out from our 10 it makes fo a real short field for the other team.

I feel your pain.

That's why you don't put all eggs in a single basket ... at least not if you know WTF you're doing.

And, like you, field goals in the 40s are a pretty commonplace thing at the high school level these days. Over a hundred guys have converted that into D1 this season ... just not at fucking Tech.

Well they are both averaging over 35 per punt this season so it would seem highly unlikely they "cant" kick it over 35 yards.

Our punter averaged 37.8 per punt against MSU. His long was 49 yards. He punted 6 times. Tell me what the other 5 punts averaged.

Thank god for Bo Pellini. NDSU and Youngstown St go to OT. YSU missed their FG, then Pellini calls TO before NDSU gets theirs off,and he missed left. Next try boots it right through to end the game.

Thank god for Bo Pellini.

Are there more than like five teams that even want to be ranked?

What a clusterfuck of a weekend. I'm going to end up with ... Kentucky in the Top 25?

W.T.F.?

I do. 2006 season. Ohio State was clear number 1 all year. Had Heisman trophy winner.

Returned opening kickoff in BCS title game for a touchdown, the rout seemed to be on.

Florida goes on to win 41-14, ushering in the era of SEC dominance.

Pretty much every year for the last several, any time Alabama hasn't won it, it has felt like a major upset.

Tough weekend for WSU. First they get crushed by Cal and then they lose their AD - a WSU alum - to Nebraska.

Yes, the one pictured in the first photo in the story is (arguably) my closest WH. (There are actually two that are pretty much equidistant)

Are we allowed to mention that, after the opening game where 2 TDs should have been picked off and then beating up on Hawaii, Josh "Jay Cutler" Rosen has 8 TD and 8 INT over the last 4 games?

Sure. While we are mentioning huge caveats

UCLA is allowing 6.57 yards per rush this season. In the last 14 years, no Power 5 program has allowed more. 2nd worst: 6.17 ypc.

And the Bruins are allowing 313.0 rushing yards per game. The 2nd worst mark by a Power 5 team since 2004 is 279.9 ypg.

I think he's pretty much beyond redemption at this point. He's the kinda guy that I'll always pull for the CEI over.

Eh. Syracuse - Miami and KState - OU have some fairly meaningful implications.
For at least one team in each game anyway.

Surely Ga Southern has to make a coaching change after today.

Winless, and trailing winless Umass 48-17 at halftime.

edit to add: More realistically perhaps, they wait til the end of the year and try to find a new HC and a new AD.
Not much point in letting the current AD make a call I don't believe.

I have 8 more years of the Ferentz's tenure.

This offense is just brutal. The play calling is terrible. But sometimes it isnt. Iowa;s first 2 drives were great, but we scored 0 points. Then we went back to the same crap offensive play calls we always use.

It is boring. And barely watchable. Barely.

I think we may not win another game.

Then you'll bounce back next year, win 10, and you'll get 4 years added to that.
