I'm with ya CS, just picked up pizza & cheese breadsticks, I'm set for the night.
The Winston is one of only three sports events that are absolutely appointment viewing for me (the other being the night race at Bristol & the NCAA Tournament Selection Show). There's a ton of other stuff I try very hard not to miss, but those are the only three that actually go on the household calendar.

Isn't this the race that doesn't even count, and they drive backwards or something for the second half of the race?

An answer to Marmels question, No NASCAR cars dont drive backwards, they dont make RIGHT turns unless they're on a road course and they dont race the second half backwards.
Yeah, I'm rooting for my two favorites Dale Jr. and Kevin Harvick, both look to be great today. Oh, and congratulations to CHEMICAL SOLDIER for that perfect post thingy. |

The part that I enjoyed the most tonight was the crushed up #8 car. What a lovely site.

Great race by the 48. It was great not seeing the 8 out there for the final portion of the race.

Dola: On another note. I'm a casual NACAR fan and I can't remember how many drivers ran the final esection in the past. Has it always been 14? I thought there were fewer in the last segment before.
They need to stop the fan voting for the inversion. Go back to the spin of the wheel for it. It's kind of old when you know that half of the morons are going to vote 10 all the time. Make it something that is actually a mystery. |

Bad what happened to Dale Jr, Tony Stewart, Terry Labonte, and Ryan Newman. No, I wont wish harm upon any drivers like several previous people, but I guess drivers in the Winston are more willing to take bigger risks than they already do in normal races.
Great race driven by Jimmie and those guys, happy for them because they havent won in a while, and I look forward to him getting his fourth points win either at the 600 next week or the Dover race in a month. Not only happy for them, but for Mikey Waltrip who looked for a minute there he could've won the thing but he got a good top 10 finish. |
