Splinter Cell?
Since this is the only site I can take opinions seriously, I thought I would throw another one out there to discuss.
I just traded a friend for Splinter Cell and wondered how hard it was to play? I did some quick reading as my friend wanted to play my C&C Generals game and said I could borrow SC.. sounds fun.. is it? Thanks, Todd |

I thought this thread was going to be about terrorists. So now that I'm here, I have to post something.

I've only been able to play the game during slow times at work, and so I'm only on the 3rd level, but have found it remarkably immersive, and tons of fun. Patience is required to be successful and I like that in a game.

Thanks Barkeep, from the IGN review, it sounds very immersive.

Bah, fugging Deus Ex. Most overrated game evah.
Best game since Thief makes more sense. Great game, I really enjoyed it. Heavily script oriented and linear, so a lot of times it's a matter of just reloading until you figure out what you're supposed to do, but it's very well done. Playing this one just got me more and more excited for Thief 3, I sure hope that one makes it out this year. |

Yeah, it's pretty fun.. but I stopped playing because of the linear nature of the game... I thought there was more of a choice as to how you can beat the missions, but there isn't really...
still seemed like a fun game though |

Damn you people. It's also out for Gamecube now and I don't have any money. I guess I'll just have to wait a few months to get my hands on it.

Yeah, this site is definitly diverse when it comes to certain discussions, but it's also DEFINITLY the best forum I visit. I always know that most of the time I can ask a question and get a wide variety of answers. Todd |

Enjoy it. Got it recently for the XBox and am enjoying it quite a bit.

The game is awesome. I have it for XBox. One word of warning though, kiss your social life good bye if you get it...

Played just a tad of it tonight. I like it so far, very nice looking, training missions really help to 'teach' you the game. I'm ready for my first mission.
Shoot, just the intro got me pumped up to play the game! My social life went away when my second daughter arrived 11 months ago. It's just harder to play games with her in my lap! Todd Last edited by MizzouRah : 04-24-2003 at 11:16 PM. |

Heheh.. stayed up until 1am playing last night.
One thing I really, really like about this game. As good as it looks and plays, how did they get the load times to go this fast? Restart a game and it loads pretty much instantly, I love how fast the game loads from mission to mission as well as when you start the game up. A couple of things I don't like. Kill some civilians when you're not supposed to and the mission is over... what's wrong with letting out a little frustration? I could hide the bodies if I needed to. Just makes the game a little scripted in that reguard. It's hard so far, and I like that. Can't wait to play more this weekend. Todd |
