Biggest Single Game Fof2k4 Perfomances

Playing as San Diego.. week 3 of year 1 (Against Baltimore no less)

David Boston 11-237 1 td

Probably the greatest performance i've ever seen.. and we lost.. but odd thing is.. he had 188 by halftime.. so its not like i was chucking them to him down the field late..

I had a receiver gain 300 yards in a game. It was decent.

How many times has he been thrown to in that game? I think in my league, the highest passes thrown to a receiver was 247 or the like for a season...

Front Office Bowl

Jackie McCallum - 9 catches, 237 yards, 2 TDs

MVP

My QB played like crap when not sending passes his way. McCallum was only targeted 11 times. My QB managed about 400 yards and 3 TDs. But he was only 50% poassing and had a couple of picks aand a fumble, I belive. My RB didn't rush very well, either. He did catch some passes though.

In my game the single-game record is 12 catches (16 passes targeted) for 293 yds and 3 TDs. Funny thing is he topped 100 yds (and by a slim margin) only three more times that season.

Isn't Flipper Anderson's real-life NFL record something like 15 catches for 336 yds?

12 seasons into my career - league record is by Henry McEarchen (Oakland) 15 - 311 yds - 2 td's (17 targets). The best any of my receivers has managed is 183 yds, but I prefer a run orientated offence.

The computer threw for about 650 yards in one game (and 6 touchdowns). Amazingly, the game was a 49-49 tie.

I've had impressive seasons stats, but don't recall any particularly amazing single game records.

My QB just tossed 6 TD's a few games ago, but was under 300 yards total.

Record for receptions is Terrell Owens with 20 vs the Bears in 2000. Yards is inded Flipper Anderson with 336 on 15 catches (good memory!).

How about for two games in a row? A top WR in my dynasty, Roger Everett, started out the 2023 season with:

12 catches, 230 yards, 2 TDs vs New Orleans

then

12 catches, 288 yards, 4 TDs vs Houston

He went on to have the alltime high season in receiving yardage that year.

In 1995 of my league WR Jamal Ramsey had 13 catches for 322 yards (24.7 ypc) and 4 TD.

He ended an injury plagued season with these stats.

10 games, 71 catches, 1404 yards, 19.7 ave, 11 TD

Let's see, Single-Game record holder for most receptions in my league was:
Torry Holt, in 2005 with 21 catches for 354 yards receiving and 4 TDs.

However, Single-Game record holder for most receiving yards in my league was:
Devin Glenn, in 2023 with 17 catches for 422 yards receiving and 3 TDs.

I need a league that uses more of a ground attack in this day and age.

At first glance, I would have assumed he was just some gun slinging QB.

Did he hit old age in 2013? A drop of 749 yds in production from the previous year would be considered fatal for most mortals.

Yossarian,
What was your gameplan? What were Holliday's ratings like? Is he retired now? How in the hell did he get 45 td's in one season? How many td's did the QB throw?

45 td's is amazing!! I've seen WR's put up crazy numbers while the RB's haven't been anywhere near outlandish. Is this just a facet of the sim engine or???

I smell someone calling their own plays. The TD fluctuation is way too big to be anything else IMO.

I called the plays in about half the games.

Basically, I play him in the slot a lot, he was pretty much super rated for a while and I played a lot of 3wr sets with him in the slot.

It was more of a project to see how many td's i could get him than anything else.

He's still going strong
