I have now, I think, seen fucking everything.

From an email I got earlier

Quote:
With its first four home football games of the 2020 season already declared sellouts at socially distanced Bobby Dodd Stadium, Georgia Tech athletics has introduced a new way for fans to support the Yellow Jackets through the purchase of virtual tickets. Purchase a virtual seat, row, or section and receive commemorative ticket sheets and be a part of a drawing for exclusive prizes!

That might take the cake for "give us something for nothing"

I'm guessing the stubhub market for virtual tickets will not be very robust.

I'm holding out for a better deal on the virtual ticket/virtual parking pass combo.

But what if I arrive and someone is in my virtual seat? Are there virtual bouncers to tell them to move?

So Coastal Carolina and Louisiana finally play tonight on ESPN after 3 reschedulings at 7:30. Louisiana won by 40 last year, and is still ranked, Coastal did beat them the year before though. Louisiana has not played in 18 days. So it could be wide open for an upset?

So after wanting to have a sold out stadium for this weekend's game, Florida had to call the game off due to a COVID outbreak on the team.

I've said it before here but there's too damn many people on these sidelines. I cringe every time I see security, photographers, media, and the 100 other people roaming around.

Wonder what the SEC will do here. Normally I’d guess move it like they are UF - LSU but that risks back to back UGA - Alabama games if both teams win out.

I would have thought so too, Louisiana just scored late in the 3rd to make it a tie, 20-20

Coastal gets its first ever win against a Top 25 ranked team 30-27! Man not bad for a team that was picked to finish last in its division (and rightly so)

Have to add here that final play by Louisiana after Coastal went ahead...was pretty much a stinker.

Hopefully we'll see a full schedule. Daily testing should help but I just see this year as a chance to sit back and enjoy whatever games that we get.

Purdue - Iowa should be a fun game next week. I have no idea what to expect there. Any thoughts on that one? Iowa will control the LOS but Rondale might make it fun.

Iowa has a new QB this year. Im hoping he developed after the off time. But you know how Iowa football is, start slow and the get better as the year goes on. Our O line looks good, as does our receiving running back corps. Defense is in transition.

I can easily see Purdue beating us. Rondale went off on us last year, so I imagine he will again.

There's a pretty good chance that Auburn and South Carolina should both fire their coaches after this game.

It was the most points allowed by Tech in its modern era and the second most in school history, exceeded only by Auburn’s 94-0 win in 1894, Tech’s third season of football ... the most points scored in a half against Tech in the school’s modern era, surpassing the 48 piled up by Joe Montana and eventual national champion Notre Dame in 1977 ... Clemson gained 671 yards, also a school record for a Tech opponent.

And somehow Andrew Thacker has a job? For that matter, the phony sumbitch that thought hiring the comically out of his depth Thacker was a good idea still has one?

Hogs leading the Landsharks 7-0 in early 2Q.

Still very early but Hogs defense is doing pretty well and offense had one long run.

EDIT: Oh yeah, nice interception!

A second interception for TD. Hogs are up now 17-0 in 2Q with 10 min left.

Added a FG and now up 20-0 with 1:40 left in the half. And just added another sack.

Have the Hogs gotten that much better with a 1st year coach or have the other teams been negatively impacted more with the covid season (than the Hogs) and all the complications. Probably a bit of truth in both.

First time in a long while that I've enjoyed watching the Hogs play football.

Pittman is a great coach. Not all position coaches find success as a head coach, but he might just be the right guy at the job.

TBH, still not sure about Pittman (e.g. I thought Bielema could do a good job, boy was I wrong) but will give much credit to Defensive Coach Barry Odom and QB transfer Franks.

Our defense has done a good/great job in all the games other than the 2H in the GA game.

3rd Interception for the Hogs!

4th interception but we are only up 20-7 (hogs had 2 turnovers too).

Our defense is playing much better than our offense. Last few years, both were pitiful. Didn't know much about Franks before he transferred but am grateful we have him.

It's a ball game now 20-14 with 12 min to play. Our offense has been sucking in the 2H.

Fantastic one handed catch (really) and now Hogs up 26-14 (missed a 2pt conversion) with 7:30 remaining.

Best drive of the 2H and gave the defense a chance to rest.

An uneven freshman campaign, with flashes. A somewhat promising sophomore season then the broken ankle that ended his junior year prematurely. Figuring he was probably Wally Pipped by Kyle Trask (whose own injury in practice had secured Franks as the starter previously) he opted to transfer.

Hogs somehow forgot to defend against a fake punt and TD Landsharks. We are now up 26-21.

Regardless if we win or lose, this is a fun game.

BTW - sports casters are still calling them Rebels?

Yeeeah, cause that's still the team name/nickname.

The sillyass shark was simply the live mascot change (think of it like replacing the Philly Phanatic but not changing the Phillies name)

Oh crap, Hogs have to punt with 3:45 remaining.

Getting really comical.

Got a 6th interception and run back to Rebels 30.

1:28 left, game is over. Yeah, second SEC win!

Oh com'on. We're at the Rebels 1 yard line with about a min left and we take the high road. Game over 33-21.

Two SEC wins and the Auburn one stolen from us. 2-2 is not bad at all.

Don't have CBS but great that GA is leading 14-7. Time for the AL dominance to end.
