EBFL Recruiting Thread

Colorado starts off recruiting with a four star commit. You can figure it out for yourselves, bastards.

Colorado got a first week 4 star commit in the NOFL too...weird. Was it a DT?

No 4 star commits here . Looks like we're fighting uphill against UNC for a number of recruits. Our pipelines are in Virginia, NC, Georgia and Florida, so we're going to be doing a ton of recruiting against UVA and UNC most likely, and trying to steal a few guys in states where Va Tech, UGA, UF/Florida State/Miami dominate.

Yeah - we probably have the most human competition, it's going to be interesting. I haven't looked at the game yet to see, but geographically it makes sense.

I nabbed a commit as well. I think he was 4 stars, but he might have been 3.

Damn, jealous of you guys! I don't have a ton of interest out there so we'll see how my first class goes.

We get a soft verbal from a four star pocket QB. Should be a nice guy to have down the line, complemented by a solid running QB to give us a diverse attack. Hopefully we reel him in quickly so we can not worry about QB any longer.

Nice job Mike! Although man, with A's in those two categories, how is he just three stars? Does he tackle like Deion?

Mississippi State is doing well despite not getting any more commitments. We've got a lot of guys showing a renewed sense of interest in the our program and I have a feeling that will only multiply when (yeah, I said it, when) we beat Tennessee. I'm working really hard on one recruit in particular that has been incredibly close to signing for two weeks so I'm hoping this week that I pulled it off. If I get him, I'll feel pretty good about this class regardless of what else happens.

I haven't gotten to log-in yet, but I'm VERY concerned that i lost a rivalry game last week with a lot of key recruits visiting.

We have no committments yet but I am hopeful that we will be able to land 6-8 4* players by the time we're done. *crosses fingers*

Mike and I appear to be in an interesting battle for a 4* HB.

As I said in the week 7 thread, I scored a commit from a four star QB from California. That's two four stars so far, but we need more bodies.

Yes, those are the only good skills he has. I hope he can return punts and maybe play nickle.

I am hoping scheduling his visit when we play, is not a bad idea!

I definitely do not expect to win that game, based on my experiences in single player, and my stick skills(or lack of them) vs other players. There will be a lot of incentive for both of us though I am sure to try to pull that one off

It could be the approach being taken to recruiting, but I really don't know there. I do know that not all teams rated in the mid-high 70s are the same, Virginia might just be a tougher place to recruit early on. All these 4* guys had me in their top 10 on day 1, and I've just gone after them hard. Of course, I'm not guaranteed to land any of them yet, especially with other human competition in the mix.
