Just a quick flashback to week 12:

Huzzah for the NPotW being from my MTSU Blue Raiders. :-D

I see Tim Brice has been as effective as...well...there's not a good analogy for that kind of uselessness, especially in the UGA game.

The Player of the Year: 2008

This year there is no doubt in the nation that the top college player is...

Tang Le Wood, QB, Florida

Tang was named PotY with 135 total votes while also being named the Offensive PotY and 1st team QB, nationally.

2nd place in the voting went to QB Jonathan DeWolf of Michigan with 109 votes, one ahead of the 108 received by 3rd place finisher, QB Archie Grier of Boston College.

Congratulations to Tang, and good luck in the upcoming NFL draft!!

Final Rankings, 2007:

FOFCers Penn State and Michigan are 1/2 in the final poll. The Nittany Lions won the poll by virtue of their extremely tough schedule, rated #2 in the nation for difficulty. Michigan, on the other hand, was in the middle of the pack. The 2.60 point differential was the key as Penn State was declared #1 by less than 1.5 points.

For the 3rd year in a row, 6 of the top 10 recruited players went to FOFC teams. It was sort of 7 of 10, as one top 10 recruit went to Florida. However, the only FOFC player at Florida, Tang Le Wood, is graduating, so Florida will not technically be an FOFC team as of next year.

The NFL: 2009 Draft- Tang Le Wood

Le Wood, Florida's 2008 League MVP QB, is in the draft. Here are some stats on Frenchie:
  • He is the #12 ranked player in the draft and the #2 QB
  • He is scouted at 15/61
  • His adjusted grade is 5.8
  • Volatility is at 73
  • He is the #3 QB in the dash
  • He is the #2 QB on the Intel Test
  • He is the #3 QB in strength
  • He is the #1 QB in the agility drills
This is a very weak draft, with just one player having an adjusted grade of over 7. Tang should go in the 1st round for sure. Good Luck, Frenchie.

FOFCer Skips Senior Year

The NFL: 2009 Draft- Godzilla Blitz

Penn State ILB Godzilla Blitz, a B10 1st team ILB, has decided to skip his final year of eligibility and enter the 2009 NFL draft. Here are some stats on Godzilla:
  • He is the #33 ranked player in the draft and the #3 ILB
  • He is scouted at 32/60
  • His adjusted grade is 5.2
  • Volatility is at 74
  • He is slow for an ILB in the dash
  • He is the #5 ILB on the Intel Test
  • He is the #3 ILB in strength
  • He is the #1 ILB in the agility drills
Having missed out on a year of seasoning by leaving early, Blitz will likely miss out on being a 1st rounder. However, he should go in the middle of the 2nd round as the caliber of player in this draft, quite frankly, sucks. Good Luck to Godzilla.

2008 is now history.

As always, if anyone is curious about a stat or a player (or whatever), let me know (before I delete the old file).

2009 will begin tomorrow if possible. My DSL is acting up and running like an old 28k modem (I feel your pain, GB, with the wait time), so we will see.

Once again, I thank whomever rated this dynasty. We made it to 3 raters this time, so we must be getting better, right?

Thanks for posting, those that do, and thanks for reading as well. Hope you are enjoying this a bit.
