I signed up to get an invite. If nothing else it will be interesting to try out and see what it's like. They do have a video giving you a quick look at it.

Let us know what you think when you get an invite. I heard that invites aren't going out yet for it though. There has been a bunch of talk about this browser on some of my various security sites and so far the feedback has been rather ho-hum.
Sounds like it is just a social component built into an already existing browser (Chromium), and behaves pretty similar to an already existing social browser (Flock). With all of the exploits and information stealing that occurs already in facebook, I'm not sure how excited I am personally about a web browser that you have to "log into" and ties directly into facebook, which is built on a fairly insecure browser base (Chromium). The positives for it is the guy behind it has a very strong track record. For those of us whom have been around a while, it is the same guy behind the original netscape browser back in the 1990s. It doesn't sound like something that I will use at all, but I am highly curious about how it will go. |

I was curious who was behind it, so thanks for that info. The message said "within the next couple of days" so I'll have to see.

it is interesting in the fact that is trying to keep all your socialness in one place. But I'm not sure I would be one that would want that.

Got invite and downloaded.
Pro: I can import from Chrome. Con: Search opens up in a pop up like window. Who the hell thinks of doing that these days?
