Traverse City 6, Lufkin 5
TC scored 2 each in the second, third, and fourth, all off Paco Cintrón. Lufkin came close, but could not recover.

Traverse City 6, Lufkin 5 (10)
John Cornett gave up 4 in the third. TC hit one more in the 7th, and the Linemen went into the 9th down 5-3. Christian Donogan hits a 2-run double to bring the game into extras. In the top of the 10th, Victor Ríos let Wayne Hughes hit a leadoff double. Hughes promptly stole second, then was knocked in on a sac fly from Mark Erickson to score the game winner.

TC leads the series 2-0.

After losing 2 at home, Lufkin's bats open up on their first visit to Traverse City. Mitch Sanders knocks two over the fence off of Eric Reed, but the those three RBI are Traverse City's only offense all day.

Lufkin 4, Traverse City 1
Dan Roberson gives up a single, an error, another single, and a double in a three-run fourth as Lufkin returns the favor, sweeping TC at home. The series is tied as we head back to Lufkin.

We return to Lufkin for game 5 of this tied series. Traverse City draws first blood with a solo homer in the first, and another run in the third. There is no more scoring until the bottom of the 8th. Two singles and an error from the shortstop allow one run to score for Lufkin, with a second driven home on a flyball. Both teams go down 1-2-3 in the 9th, and we go to extras tied at 2-2.

Taking the mound for Lufkin in the top of the 10th is Victor Riós, who sits TC down in order. Esteban Aroca continues on the mound for Traverse City. Tony Flores swats a single off him with two out, but Stephen Moore strikes out to end the inning.

We head into the 11th still tied at 2-2. Riós remains on the mound for Lufkin... and gives up a leadoff single to Ramón López. Esteban Aroca lays down a sac bunt to advance López to second. Wayen Hughes works the count full, then lines one right at the shortstop for the second out.

Riós doubles down with two out, and hurls a fireballing first pitch at Mark Erickson... who was ready for it! It rockets deep to the gap in left, and by the time he holds up at second, López is across the bag. Traverse City leads 3-2.

There is still a man on second and two outs. Riós looks rattled as the big bat of Mitch Sanders strides to the plate. Ball. Strike. Ball. Foul. *crack* The park goes utterly silent as Sanders goes into his home run trot.

A shattered Riós gets it together long enough to strike out Gregory Patterson, and the Linemen trudge to the dugout down 5-2.

Traverse City 6, Lufkin 5 TC scored 2 each in the second, third, and fourth, all off Paco Cintrón. Lufkin came close, but could not recover. Traverse City 6, Lufkin 5 (10) John Cornett gave up 4 in the third. TC hit one more in the 7th, and the Linemen went into the 9th down 5-3. Christian Donogan hits a 2-run double to bring the game into extras. In the top of the 10th, Victor Ríos let Wayne Hughes hit a leadoff double. Hughes promptly stole second, then was knocked in on a sac fly from Mark Erickson to score the game winner. Mitch Sanders knocks two over the fence off of Eric Reed, but the those three RBI are Traverse City's only offense all day. Lufkin 4, Traverse City 1 Dan Roberson gives up a single, an error, another single, and a double in a three-run fourth as Lufkin returns the favor, sweeping TC at home. Two singles and an error from the shortstop allow one run to score for Lufkin, with a second driven home on a flyball.
