I just saw the dumbest play Ive seen in awhile.
Utah/BYU.
BYU QB is sliding. #10 from Utah ducks his head and hits the BYU QB in the head.
It was so stupid and obvious. He ducked right into the QBs head. Knocked his helmet off. And got ejected.

Things we learned today.

Notre Dame isn't very good.
Neither is UGA's offense with Cheney calling plays.

Despite the win, Georgia fans are ready to tar & feather him.

ND lost that game when they thought it was ok to run straight into the heart of the D three consecutive times and then punt up 2 with 8 left.

Play calling just boggles the mind

They sorta play offense like they think they are considerably better (or at least different) than what they are.

I will never understand all those designed qb runs. Only thing moving the ball for them was passing and praying for uga facemasks

One pass for sure was just not caught. The others he had to throw underneath, because again, receivers cannot get open downfield.

Has he improved over his career at throwing the ball? No.
Will he be benched for another QB? That is laughable. No.
As I type this he throws a pick and OU is about to put this game away. I still stand by it not being so much him as the receivers not getting open outside of 15 yards and OSU needs a downfield playmaker so badly and cant quite find one over the last 2 years like we had with Smith 3 years ago.

I agree they won't make a change, I just wish they would.

I don't believe the speed of Paris Campbell can't get open. He's not at all like Devin Smith in terms of winning jump balls, but he has to be able to get open.

So the guy who I saw on a bunch of preseason all PAC-12 first teams over Darnold and Rosen just got benched in the third quarter of the second game. Don't fuck with Mike Leach

And now Hillinski just lost 20 yards and threw an interception on a horrific shovel pass. Think he might want to have that decision back

I don't care what anybody says about Baker Mayfield, he gets my vote as the best QB in college football and should make an excellent pro.

Supposedly that Norte Dame O line is one of the best in the country?! Not sure what the "experts" are seeing there as UGA's defense completely shut the run game down. I think Kelly needs to go after this season.

In defense of Notre Dame, Georgia should have a top 10 defense this year. I dont think it was as bad of a loss as a few on here I am thinking. Maybe in game coaching was bad but Georgia is a talented team so a 1 point loss isnt the end of the world for a team that went 4-8 last year.

#2 NDSU just obliterated #6 Eastern Washington, 40-13 yesterday, and what's more, they did it on the road, in one of the hardest fields to play on for road teams.

NDSU ran for 375 yards and 532 total, while holding EWU to 204. Ahead 19-10 at half, they exhausted the defense and ran 85 plays in the game.

This was considered textbook shoulder to shoulder by the PAC-12 head of officials.

I didn't say it was a bad loss. I said ND isn't very good.
That's two different things really.

If they were good, they don't lose at home to a QB making his first career start and against an offensive coordinator that doesn't know much about calling plays.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "very good."

I think they are top 25 good but not top 10 good. I am not sure if that is what you mean?

They look like an 8-4 team max, possibly 6-6.

No, I don't see a top 25 team there, though their name might get them a kiss at year end if they finish 7-6 I suppose.

Still think he's a #2 at the NFL level. Doesn't have the big, accurate arm and too short. Still a real fun college QB.

I hope IU decides to go with freshman QB Peyton Ramsey over Richard Lagow as our starter soon. The kid makes good things happen. Lagow is a turnover machine with a big arm.

Iowa hosting PsU in primetime on ABC on the 23rd.

It is also Black and Gold spirit night. Every other section is colored black or gold. Looks real good at night.

Man, I just picked up at face value tickets for what I assume will be a mad house. Michigan @ Wisconsin. Gonna be flying in for that game. This is the first time Michigan has come to Wisconsin since 2009.

I hope Wisconsin is 10-0 & UM 9-1 At worst. Bringing my dad and brothers with for their first experience. I'm so damn pumped up ... just 2 months away lol

The B1G went to that crazy division format. And you played your "rival" from the other division. Purdue, in Iowa's case. Yeah, that was stupid. Then 2 other teams.
Then switched the format to East West. And you still didnt play everyome from the other division.
Wiscy and Michigan were never in the same division.
So they were left in this situation.

In the mega-conference era, oddities like that are somewhat common.

UGA hasn't played at Bama since 2007, hasn't played at LSU since 2008 (though they've played 2x in Athens since then)

I guess "vacated loss" has replaced "forfeit". I know that officially Washington is credited with a record of 10-2 in 1977 even though they were actually 8-4 because wins by Mississippi State and UCLA over the Huskies were later forfeited (I believe due to ineligible players in both cases).

FIU at IU has been cancelled. Sounds like IU is trying to schedule Georgia Tech as a replacement on October 7. Or possibly USF.

2020 and 2021 B1G schedules out.

Nebby has been crying about playing Iowa on black Friday, so the B1G granted them their wish.
Iowa and Wisconsin are now scheduled on Black Friday.
Nebraska gets Minny on saturday.

I love when the B1G sticks it to the newcomers.

Sounds like the B1G is following trends when scheduling. The Iowa/Wisconsin
winner has determined the division title the last 3 years.

I only have an antenna. On the ABC .4 chanel they have classic football games. Im watching FLA St./Miami from 91 right now. They went to a game break. And showed Indiana/OSU. Indiana went up forst on a Trent Green TD pass.
I didnt realize Trent Green played at IU. Why werent they good? Or were they?

Trent Green really wasn't that good in college. He did manage to get drafted in the 8th round, but ended up in the CFL was cut his 2nd season there. The Trent Green we know from the NFL didn't get his shot until he was 28 and a much different QB than what he showed at Indiana.
