Now that's a sandstorm!
I've been through sandstorms before when living in 29 Palms, Barstow and now Phoenix, but wow!

Too bad the people in this pic are so small, because this would be a perfect "PWNED" candidate.

I'm just wondering why you lived in 29 palms and Barstow. I know 29 palms is a military town....were you in the service?

No, my father was in the Marines. I lived in Camp Lejuene, NC (where I was born), Albany, GA , 29 Palms, CA, Barstow, CA, Santa Ana, CA (El Toro military base when it was still open) and Oceanside, CA (next door to Camp Pendleton). I tried to get into the military, but they said I has asthma, even though I ran track for 4 years and cross country for 1. |

You want bad? The Oklahoma National Guard Infantry Platoon protecting my site didn't have goggles. I had to strip goggles from my soldiers (and myself) to give them. Sandstorms are the worst. Fortunately, I had my Oakleys as a backup.

I only vaguely remember one sandstorm when I lived in Barstow. Don't remember much except for taping up all the windows and doors to try to keep the sand out. Or maybe I just dreamed about that, along with Farrah's haboob, of course.

No, I read the link smartass. I'm just saying that a lot of people link snopes to destroy whatever sensationalist thread someone came up with.

I wasn't trying to be a smartass. I didn't know whether you read this one or just assumed it wasn't real because you saw the snopes link.
