Noblesville clinches homefield advantage in the CLCS!

Chico clinches homefield advantage in the RLCS!

Kind of a new feel to this year's playoff. Halifax makes the playoffs for the first time in 15 seasons. Brunswick makes it for only their second time in 14 seasons. Chico makes it for their third time in 14 seasons.

Although Noblesville has made the playoffs a handful of times in the last 15 seasons, they haven't actually won the title since 2063, almost 40 years ago!

It might be an end of an era as this is the first time since 2087 that won't have at least one of Apex, Hartford or Hammersmith in the postseason!

Fun fact... Halifax had the second best record in all of baseball and their 4th starter went 4-16 this season

Another fun fact. Noblesville had the best record in all of FOOL. They had 3 starting pitchers without winning records

#1 in every pitching category imaginable (except Strikeouts which you were #2).

Tells you a little bit about your hitting

Lopez played for the winner of the RL regular season! How can he be on a better team?

Congrats all. I am glad I don't have to play Chief again...

Maybe I should think of a better name for that award

Something like the "This pitcher was in the top 10 for ERA in his league and still lost 15 games because his team only scored 3 runs per game in support for him" award

Thanks for that! I've had such high hopes for this team in the past 20 years and they always fall flat on their face in the playoffs.

Don't worry. It's always better to beat your team down before they go into the playoffs. It motivates them to prove you wrong.

Just a quick vent OFF TOPIC

Wife gets a good job and its her second day and I have 2 sick kids. My 12 year old has a 102.4 temp and my 3 year old a 100.2 temp. Can I punt and get a new set of downs?

If it makes you feel any better, my 3 year old has not been in daycare 1 day in the past 2 weeks. She was out sick with a fever for 3 days, then we got 2 days of snow days and school cancellations. Then the weekend came, MLK day and now once again a new snow fall and school cancellations today.

If it makes you feel any better, our school doesn't believe in snow days...like ever. We own our buses and so apparently that's good enough reason to endanger the lives of our children on a regular basis.

No, my venting is a little more serious than that. I just found out yesterday that my bf is getting deployed to South America for 8 months after we just planned on me visiting him in Italy which would have been the first time I could see him in 14 months. Now apparently it will be a total of two years before I see him again. Right after that happened my computer ate my sub plans for tomorrow and I've been spending all morning trying to get new ones written which means I don't actually have anything prepared for my students for TODAY.

You need to punt and get a new set of downs also Teach.

Sorry about the Italy trip. Look for something positive and all will be better. My trouble in all this is going to be worth it because my wife has a job that she will have insurance in 90 days. She so needs to get to a doctor and will be able to do that soon. Plus all of our money issues will be gone soon. This is a job that she may be able to retire in 30 years. Its that good of a job for us. See I have been searching for positives all morning.

That's a great way of looking at it for sure! The positive for us is that we chose to take this deployment now to keep him out of Afghanistan. It should be relatively safe and he'll get deployment pay which should actually help bring us closer faster once this crap is done with.

Yay for looking on the bright side!

This could be a short lived stay in the playoffs. While I have 2 studs at the top of the rotation it QUICKLY falls off after that.

Going with a 3 man rotation and know that it's my only chance here.

That's great news! But will she still be able to have dinner ready on time?

(I'm kidding!!)

My fiance (yes, i am getting married for a 3rd time) just started her new job yesturday after quiting her last one on principal and being out of work for the past month, which made Christmas a little difficult this year. BUT, her new job is very promising so my point, like Hyde's, is the whole dark cloud/silver lining relationship... Teach has a pretty dark cloud right now, so she is due for a pretty bright silver lining.

Today's inspiration message is brought to you by the letter "C" for "Cliche"...and "Cheesey"...but it's still true.

Oh...and to stay on the topic of fake baseball...The Baltimore Charm suck, and everyone is available...that is all...

That's great news! But will she still be able to have dinner ready on time?

(I'm kidding!!)

Crippled people can turn the oven on for Pizza or TV dinners. She works 4 10 hour days so I do have more work to do. The plus to that though is I also have more time by myself.

LOL, maybe you should handle mine. I have barely had enough energy to put anything together the past couple of months. I'd blame that as the reason for tanking but then I'd have to admit to Tasan that exports actually deserve more that 5 minutes of attention every night.
