Chuckled at this FB post from the KC Police Department. Sad that this has to be pointed out:

And how does KC celebrate a World Series victory? With class. No riots or cars set on fire here. Chief Darryl Forté reported this on Twitter this morning:
"No fights or arrests during celebrations. Exactly what we expected from our community. Great job by all."

I wouldn't say it was packed with Royals fans. There was a mass exodus of Mets fans so the percentages leveled, but definitely not packed with.

The red light means your sarcasm detector is off. Perhaps you bumped it while celebrating last night.

It was packed because the Mets fans left in droves. It was a bit embarrassing. Stay because you want to salute your team for a great season. The players deserved that.

If only there were thousands of Mets fans who stuck around and did just that. Oh wait.

As a Yankee fan, both of these team blow, but.....

This is a sports sentiment I don't get at all. Salute my team? Players deserve it? If anything the players should kiss the ass of every fan in the seats for buying tickets, watching baseball etc. The athlete worship has gotten so out of control.

The real news here is that Kansas has a football program.

Just got the 'snow day' notification from our school district for tomorrow. Pretty much all school districts in the metro area have cancelled for tomorrow to allow everyone to attend the parade.

Years of sitting on young talent. Cain turned into the great hitter but sort of feel Hosmer, Moustakes, and Gordon arent the hitters that was expected out of them coming up. Defense is certainly the strength of the Royals.

Whether is was luck or great scouting some superb relief pitchers sort of fell in their lap as well.

Now the true test of whether this organization has turned the corner is how they respond when these players all want huge raises for winning the World Series.

It's a conspiracy! No way that would happen in Kansas City!

Rumors that the White House was concerned the American economy would suddenly tank, with so many people across the country shutting down their companies to attend the parade.

Makes sense that they would flex this game to Sunday. Feel a bit bad for the Mets though.

Ridiculous that Alex Gordon didn't get the LF Gold Glove. All the other AL selections seemed reasonable.

It sucks when someone is unfairly denied something deserved because of shady voting

Gordon was fifth among American League left-fielders in Defensive Runs Saved.

Jose Reyes arrested for domestic abuse. Not really a huge story, because man he's fallen off the map, but it will be interesting to see how MLB approaches it. (Unless I'm blanking and they actually enacted a uniform policy already.)

Really excited to see Brandon Crawford win a gold glove. It's been a blast watching him. Easy to think that he would always be the Tim Raines to Andrelton Simmons's Rickey Henderson.
