PureSim Baseball Goes Free to Play

PureSim has gone totally free to play with full functionality, so if you ever were on the fence, please do check it out.

PureSim Baseball

Based on the amount of time I spend on my two year old mobile developer tool startup, electric plum, I think this was the best move to make sure the game can live on, and I can casually update it when I get time, with no pressure.

If there are any developers or artists out there that would be interested in contributing to the project please drop me an email at:

shaun AT electricplum DOT COM

Shaun

Good luck, Shaun.

As an aside, I tried downloading and installing it, and it's refusing to run post-installation. Says it can't initialize the .Net Framework and to either reinstall (which I've tried a few times) or run as Admin (ditto, to no avail).

Does it just not work on 64-bit Win7?

Hmm. I tested on clean 64bit Windows 7, 8 installations, clean Vista and XP and didn't see that issue.

Did PS install the .NET framework when it installed?

Same problem on this end.

I did the same thing, with the same results.

Thanks, I'll look into and post a solution on the PureSim forums.

Should be fixed with the latest build (download from puresimbaseball.com front page).

It was as you suspected, an issue with some configurations of 64bit Windows.

Should be good now on all versions of Windows from XP SP3 through Windows 8 (Desktop Only).

Thanks for the report.

It's going great, 12 hours a day, but great.

Can I interest you in one of our iOS Simulator products?

Missed this a while ago 'cause I went to play Civ 5 instead

I did see it try to install the .NET framework, but I never got a failure and said framework never showed up in the uninstall thingie, so I'm not sure if it succeeded.

Either way, I'll give it another shot. Thanks!
