Contracts are guaranteed. But each team has a cash reserve of $20m per year thanks to revenue sharing, so would pay for a deal that had less than that remaining.

I could concoct all sorts of financial rules and incentives, but in a league that's meant to be somewhat speedy for the most part, I figure we're complicated enough to keep it fun, but simple enough that people can learn the ropes relatively easily if they're paying attention and/or ask. (re: the reasons financials are so simple.)

With the exception of AAA, the Memphis Smokers organization's minor league teams own the titles in each of the other divisions (AA, A, Rookie) and in AAA, they were the champs two years ago. Dunno what Jack Raden is feeding those boys but...
