File is up, dorks. First half of the season is Monday night. Bring your party hats. I'll process trades through Sunday, because I'm the best commissioner ever. Or even through Monday at 5pm eastern if someone actually makes a deal.

Ok, for future reference arbitration is set to the 7th and 8th years of a players deal. So you get them for six years (provided they don't languish in the minors and let them become minor league FAs) for league min. then you've gotta pay 'em for the last two.
The cap will revert back to $100 million after this year too, even with that change. |

1864 DRAFT LOTTERY
Here's the draft lottery odds. I flattened it a bit up at the top to make it fairer for those teams, the 1 & 2 still have the best odds at the top pick and a better seeded team has a Powerball's chance at it, but the idea was because of separate leagues, to recognize the randomness of that whole exercise and to adjust the percentages at the top therein.

I'm uploading the file now. We'll take tomorrow off. Wednesday we'll do the 2nd half. So weird now that the draft is at the end of the season, the season weeks are breezier.
As for playoffs Thursday v. Friday, that'll be a gametime decision. But I'm inclined to do a day sim on Friday. |

Lake Tahoe & Gettysburg duking it out for that last NL playoff spot, with Wyoming 2.5 games out. Denver is playing at a .400 clip per their owner's wish. In the AL, Memphis, Winnemucca, St. Louis, Cleveland and Chicago are all playing for one playoff spot. Well and Cuyahoga and San Diego haven't exactly sewn up their spots either. It's going to be a dogfight to the end. |

Lake Tahoe will return to the post-season after a three-year drought. Carolina makes their 18th playoff appearance in franchise history and come back from finishing 7th last year. Meanwhile, Washington makes their 4th straight appearance. Seeding not quite set in the NL yet though. |

In the AL, you've got five teams duking it out for that last playoff spot. 4 of them are going to go home salty, one will be lucky as a duck. Almost makes me want to make the AL a 4-team playoff league, just because the teams are so evenly matched. |
