Dynasty Question
If I wwanted to write a dynasty, could someone direct me to some good guidelines or something? Or do none exist? You just write whatever you want?
And how often do people update? Thanks! |

I think the guidelines are to just do what feels right. You don't have to update every day, but please update more than Shorty or CW do (which is about once every three months)....

Good formating with Bold or Italic or Underline helps you structure your story and makes it easier to read (at least for me).
Check Godzilla Blitz X-Com dynasty or NAIWF Manhattan Marauders dynasty for example (there are many more). |

And you might want to get good with (pre) and (font) tags...if you want to do lists or anything it really helps with the formatting if you want lists to line up and stuff. An easy cop out is the (code) tag, but I think that it wastes a ton of space...but that's just me
For a further explanation... (pre)(font face="courier") text (/font)(/pre) Substitute < for ( and > for ) in the above, and the 'text' will appear just as it does in Notepad. That is, it preserves spaces. If you notice, just typing regular stuff, the coding of the board eliminates excess white space, making tables and lists completely erratic. Using the tags above preserves the white space. For example...
Looks like crap if you just try to paste it in without the tags: Team Record GB -------------------------------- San Francisco 91-57 -- Los Angeles 80-68 11 Arizona 77-73 15 Colorado 68-82 24 San Diego 59-90 32.5
