And the Niners look like the same team that played against SEA.

1st down - Run up the middle for 1 yard.
2nd down - Run up the middle for 1 yd.
3rd down - clusterfuck no matter what play called
PUNT

Get a fucking clue Jimmy Raye!

I don't usually have a big problem with announcers but I have always liked Brian Billick's analysis. He seems to have regressed to cliche, rah rah guy.

ESPN public league data shows him starting in 0.1% of leagues, owned in 0.4% of leagues.

edit to add: QB's started more frequently include Leinart, Delhomme, and Dennis Dixon, QB's started today at the same 0.1% rate include Daunte Culpepper !

I keep praying (I'm an atheist) that the Giants defense would leave Phil Simms speechless, but so far it hasn't happened.

Chiefs are showing how easy the game can be when you have a great defense and two top-notch RB's in the backfield. Pepper in some outstanding rookies and it appears we've got a playoff team on our hands.

The bye week will feel like a fourth win after this 3-0 start.

It's been a nice start for KC but I'd refer to last year's Denver team when you want to start talking about playoffs this early in the season.

This Pats defense sucks.

I understand they're young, and they need to learn the system and all that, but if you have a hugely young secondary and LB's you think you'd make sure you could pressure the QB to relieve some of the pressure on them. But they can't even do that. They're pretty much inept at everything.

If this team is going to have a shot at getting into the playoffs or going anywhere, they're going to need to make some serious improvements by the end of the year.

Fuck - Ryan Fitzpatrick has put up 30pts on them. That's fucking embarrassing.

How do you not punt Atlanta.

You're only up by 3 and give Brees a short field to tie.

Okay, so I can understand not going for two early in the 3rd quarter, but why not do it when you're down 15 and you score with 4:09 left in the game? What's the drawback?

If you don't get the two points, then you are down 9 which means you STILL need two more scores.

Go for one to make it 8 and it only takes one score plus the 2-pt to tie.

Right but you need to go for two no matter what. Why not do it on the first possession? Then you know whether you'll still need two more scores or one more score. You can adjust your offense accordingly.

We're fans. We don't have to do anything but be excited for our teams.

With that said, I'd also note that this KC team is winning MUCH differently than Denver early last season. A great running game and great defense is still the best way to win in the NFL. Over the past 20 years in the NFL, teams that have gone 3-0 have made the playoffs 75% of the time. Denver is the exception, not the rule.

And for the 2nd time in the 3 week old NFL season, the Niners have put out the worst performance.

I'll guarantee a loss next week in Atlanta to get to 0-4 as this team is HORRIBLE on the road.

(raises hand)

Of course it's in a 12-team, 25-man roster league with two starting QBs each week. I picked him up for an emergency start since I'm only carrying two QBs right now and my No. 2 is hurt. I was just hoping for a point or two, so this was a bonus.

Congrats, Mike Singletary! You decided to score a meaningless touchdown rather than let the clock run out and as a result now have an injured wide receiver on the field. Moron.

Down 31-3 Singletary calls timeout with 3 seconds left to try and score. Alex Smith hits Josh Morgan for a TD. Morgan appears to have hurt his knee on the play.

If I were the Niners I'd fire Singletary in the locker room after this game. Team got beat, dumb strategy, idiotic play at the end gets a guy hurt. What a dumbass.

I didn't get that, either. He was going for it on 4th down pretty much all day, but that was not the time. 20+ yards is a world of difference in that situation. Very fortunate the Saints have a horrible kicker, or that would have been a loss out of a great game.

Gradkowski is daring to make me hope in the Raiders. I gave up long ago, given my hatred of Al Davis, but I could maybe root for guy like Gradkowski.

Nah. Who am I kidding? Davis will screw this up.

I could blame Hartley for costing me a shot at a $1000 (risking only $20) today, and he deserves blame. But right now for me, it's all about some awful decisions by the Saints coaching staff.
