Hopefully 15 players is enough in the queue to get to my 20th overall pick.

Great, thanks, Ben.

EDIT: JAX will be in the air most of the day on Wednesday and then at my folks' place until after New Year's. I'll do my best to keep my list healthy for the draft or else set it to pick via some other method and as for regular activity I should have time most nights to export.

III. DRAFT TIME LIMITS
  • ROUND 1: 4 hours
  • ROUND 2: 2 hours
  • ROUND 3&4: 1 hour
  • ROUND 5-7: 10 minutes
  • On the first night of the draft (when we'll likely still be in round one), the clock will be off from 11pm-4am EST. So if you come up on the clock in round 1 overnight, you'll have until 8am to pick. Or if you're an early-to-bed type at go own at 9pm and your pick comes up 30 minutes later, you'll still have until 6:30am to pick. In subsequent nights, the clock will run continually.
  • On the evening before the draft is scheduled to end, if we're not on target to finish on time, I'll speed it up to roughly {minutes remaining}/{picks remaining} per pick.

Posting here so you see why I'm set to delay. I did my interviews late, so I need to look at them now. I set to a 60 minute wait so I can have time to go over them now in case picks start flying by.

FYI, I set it to 30 minutes max when I turned it on. That said, it looks like you'll be fine.

FYI - I probably won't pick until I get home from work around 5:30 EST. I apologize for the wait, but I need to check out my interviews and see what impact my signings may have on my cap next season.

Why are you whining? Some people actually can't sit around their computers like myself, you, and others. We have a longer limit for this reason. For the record, I've gone over my interviews and set a minimal timer so I can get notification and manually pick, but I do have a list in just in case. Get over it.

I'm afraid the 4-Hour time clock is a bit too generous.

1. Draft utility has been available since yesterday.
2. You do not need interviews or brain power to make draft picks in the Top 5.
3. Getting auto-picked in an FOF MP draft is not a penalty. Hell, might even be a benefit in some cases.

To add to what RKG is saying.

This league was built on the idea that it was a face-paced league. The idea that people are already in our first draft in the very first few picks will be sucking up their entire draft slot is very, very frustrating.

I'd also like to add that the purpose of a "draft-time limit" is to prevent limited unfair surprise to an owner selecting at 1.25 should picks 1.1 through 1.24 get automatically selected via list.

It is not so that you have four hours to peer over interviews and pace nervously back-and-forth in front of a computer to debate between an 80/80 guard or 75/75 defensive tackle.

In fairness, Shard just took over the team yesterday, so the cap concern may well be valid. As of right now, CLE has $193.8M used next year (on a $149.7M cap next year.)

At the same time, I agree that I cannot fathom waiting for interview results for a Top 5 pick.

...or any pick, for that matter.

But especially a top 5 pick.

I didn't realize he took over yesterday. That makes me feel a bit differently about his specific situation.

The reason the interview results play a part here is because I'm considering trading down....
