Will we utilize a CAP penalty? Taking out 20 - 25% of team caps?

something else, lets say we release all the players from human owned teams. What do we do about teams that have expensive players that cause their teams dead cap space to take up most of the CAP?

Could I snag the Cowboys? Anyone up for taking another NFC East team?
Also, if we are releasing everyone, we have to sim out at least the 1st year and the next, right?

You sim out so that there are no more dispersal draft guys in the league.

I thought about these very same ideas last night, I have a league simmed to 19 years out but I also like the idea of owning all of our own team records. As Sub pointed out tho, I think the talent distribution is wonky with the dispersal draft guys. And ya it's not as easy as I'd thought with just releasing the human talent, I actually void the contract which causes no dead cap space but some teams already come with up to 20mil in dead cap.
Is anyone officially against the dead cap space idea? I'm leaning towards using it if people want to. That would actually deal with the issue nicely

If getting rid of it helps solve a problem then do it, no objections here.
You still going with the $1 mil increase every year? That might help things a little. It started to get hard keeping talent, thought not impossible.

No chance of sticking us all in the same division, I guess?

I think that idea is out Sub, at least 3 owners expressed a desire to be alone in a division.
I actually had the cap increase set to $100,000 when I simmed forward, we can keep it there but I think it's all relative, the players scale their demands to the total cap I believe. So ya, we'll leave it at 100k cuz I don't see any problem with doing it that way.

I know that Nix and TTWS do, sorry I guess that didn't get posted but I talked to them about it, and I thought Sef0r stated a preference to having each team in one division.

Reason for that preference is that we get to meet each other maybe once during the regular season then once during the playoffs, assuming we make the playoffs.
I think its more important that we meet in the playoffs (given that there are only 7-8 of us) then it is during the regular season where there could also be the chance that smoeone misses out on the playoffs. I would be more then happy to take on a team in the NFC in order to split the owners between the conferences evenly.

If we are doing two teams per division I'd be happy to take the 'Skins. Just need the password PMd to me.

Hah, ok sorry Tasan, Cowboys it is
Subby you can chose to be alone in a division or with someone else and Tasan had expressed an interest in having a div rival so I thought you could be buddies The AFC will be the place for loners apparently. I'll be sending passwords and the league file out tonight hopefully.
