MAC AV recommendations?
Anyone have any recommendations for a good paid AV program for a mac. My company is a completely windows shop like most but of course the CEO is moving to a MAC. I have little to no experience dealing them so any help is appreciated.

Granted Macs can get viruses, but, to be honest, I've been using Macs for the last 6 years or so and have never had a problem with viruses. I'm sure there's a few anit-virus apps out there for Macs, I would just try and find one that doesn't screw with the computer or slow it down.

Oh, hah. I was thinking audio/video. It's a mac... I've never bothered with any anti-virus software.

Yes, but as the my corporations CSO I would rather not risk my career on the off chance the CEO is surfing porn at home and get's infected since it is only his machine of 10000 users that is an Apple. I agree the chances of being infected are much, much less but there are more pieces of malaware, virus' and worms popping crafted for Macs since the bad guys know no one uses AV. Ironically, Spohos just announced the release of a new full featured AV program just for MACs that I am going to try. |

Yeah, I couldn't begin to give you recommendations. It's just not something I've ever bothered with or have experience with.
Frankly, I don't use it on my personal PCs either and I've never gotten a virus either, soooo..

Totally understand where you're coming from, but, long story short...it's not that easy to get a virus onto a Mac like that.
That being said, Symantec is the only one that I think is actually sold at the Apple stores and on the online Apple store. So, that would be my pick if I had to chose one.
