CW, the mighty armies of Scotland have done a noble job of protecting Edinburgh thus far with 2 warriors and 2 archers. There is a worker who couldnt make it to Edinburgh in time and thus has roamed the western lands keeping away from the pillaging Barbarians who are just having a ball destroying everything we worked so hard to develop. Our workers know that they will be hard pressed to get us back up to speed when things pass...BTW another barbarian warrior has shown up, this time to the SW.

we did that once, while the turn allowed us to attack, finish the attack with a win but remain in town instead of moving out of the city to the north, which is what would happen if we did that again.

As a matter of fact, that archer has earned a level 1 promotion sir, what should it be. I must await for your decision before proceeding as, that promotion comes with a nice burst of healing adrenaline.

CW, a quick update:

A couple of forays at our city ended in failure for the barbarians but the few that have roamed around the outskirts of the city have damaged quite a bit of our countryside. Archer 2 (the other one) has earned a promotion. I await your call for that one, and then perhaps we can take to the offensive against the last few barbarians, in an effort to at least save some of our advances in the coutnryside. After the terror is over, the worker(s) will immediately move to improvements once again, unless mrsimperless says something else. The Archer is about to be graduated in Stirling, perhaps you can give him some directions? There is also a warrior in Stirling that I fortified in the city, by default.

Agreed. We'll need to rebuild once the invaders have been turned back. I'm also of the opinion that our next most pressing priority is to upgrade our military and send out a raiding party of our own to destry the barbarian encampment. Who know, we might even get a free city out of it.

As for Edinburgh, once the last unit is 1 turn away from completion, those two archers are to go out into the great unknown and slaughter everything. I'm guessing the primary barbarian camp is mostly east/ne of us. Find and destroy.
