I remember the massive effort to balance out the ratings and plays to get an NFL experience. VPNFL (Vaguely Plausible NFL) or something like that. It'll be a deep dive into the internet to retrieve those...

Did you find a ROM of the game? Is it available for download somewhere? (Like The Archive?) Or do you still have the disc?

I wonder if I still have any of the FBPro '99 files kicking around. I used to host them to make the game somewhat playable after the disaster around the launch of it.

I downloaded from here.
It works great! Front Page Sports Football Pro '98 Download (1997 Sports Game) I found VPNFL files as well that I think were updated to like 2005. I also found my backup disk that had all the utilities I used to run my leagues I was commissioner of back in the day. Talk about a walk around the nostalgia block yesterday.

I still remember how sad and disappointed I was that day. I was looking forward to that for a long time. |

I discovered this a few months ago as well. It's relatively simple with dosbox. The old-games site has pretty much all the Front Page Sports games
I began with some of the earlier games in the series, the original FPS Football (which was the very first computer sports sim that I ever played) and its successor FPS Football Pro. I used to play the World League structure and run a week at a time overnight because that's how long it took to sim just a few games (talking around 1993 here). I was hoping that the sim speed would be much better on a new machine but unfortunately it's exactly the same, which has prevented me from enjoying them as much as I thought I would.
