My friend and I turned off the discipline assistant so that when someone needs discipline it will tell us to do it.

Unfortuently when simming week to week it never told us and my friend get penalized by the NCAA at the end of the season and lost 10 scolarships for the next two years.

Question: Does the discipline screen work like the injury screen and you need to check it every week to see what is going on? I think it would be better if after a game the game told you in you had an injury or discipline addition so then you'd know to look

He seemed to have a real problem with it for whatever reason, and by quoting that statement, he is agreeing with it, right? And to come back today and start up on the issue all over again? He seems to be like the Lt in Good Morning Vietnam!

It's the same as making reservations when you are going to dinner. You either get your reservation or you sit and wait.

Yes, if you turn off the assistant (which I did), then you need to check that screen every week. I agree that a message would be nice, but I just entered into the habit of checking my injury list and my discipline list each week. I'm glad they are at least right next to each other.

Anyone who has simmed ahead in dynasty mode already, do the conferences continue thier scheduled reallignment after the first season (Boston College to the ACC, Louisville and Cincy to the Big East, some MAC/CUSA/WAC/MTWEST/SunBelt switches?
And if you have noticed, how frequently (if at all) do teams decide to change conferences as the dynasty progresses?

I haven't simmed ahead that far yet because I spent two hours last night enjoying all of the details and only simmed one season. However, I had a few patients cancel, and I have a 2 hour break this morning. So, I've been reading the long thread about the game at operation sports. According to that thread, the teams do not realign as currently scheduled in real life.

THEY DON'T REALIGN AND IT SUCKS!

The Big East is pathetic and should even be consdier a real conference after season 1. In my dynasty I made Northeastern University a D.I school and moved Tmeple down so I could play in the Big East. Then after season one the Big East kicked my friend out (Rutgers) and added FIU (apparently they really missed Miami). So the Big East looks really pathetic now.

My mom's a pimp. I spent the night at my friend's house. Was up 'til 7. It's 1, I'm still tired. I get home, run up the stairs. Glance at what's sitting on the stairs. NCAA 2005.

I can't go to sleep now!

Recruiting Gripe:

Being a I-AA that moved to teh Big East my first season was horrid, I managed to some how win one game. I think went into the offseason and recruited for my gaps and tried to get a few impact players.

Going into the last week I had 0 MLB on teh team or signed to play. I ahd 1 OLB on the team and zero signed.

I had two MLB that had me as their #1 choice and 3 OLB that had me in their top 3. I also had a MLB and OLB that had me very high but not in the top 3. All of these players had been recruited for multiple weeks.

After loading them up with points I simmed recruiting and 2 OLB signed but none of the MLB!!!!!!!! I then went to see where these two MLB that had me as their Top choice end up signed...

THEY DIDN"T SIGN WITH ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now I have 4 walkons at MLB

At the 3rd week I just focused on in-state guys and began to rack in those commits but it is very tough to do because you have limit points and what not.. also did anyone have someone decommit and go to the other school? Because on signing day I had a 4 star SS commit to me when I remember he had committed to the Gators... I wonder maybe I am seeing things or this really happened... anyone else?

Well, after simming 5 seasons into the future, I finally got to start my Cornell dynasty last night. We lost 26-21 to Duke.

I didn't check out the Discipline function, although I did notice that our main rivals, Penn, are on a 2-year probation.

Interesting. Is there any way I can tell that they won't qualify?

Finished my first season with my 2 star created team. Went to the Emerald Bowl where I surprised myself beating NIU 21-13. Off to recruiting.

I went after mostly only players that I was in the Top 3. I survived with freshman that will be starting over my pathetic returning players.

Two surprises in recruiting. Since I'm running a wishbone-option offense I needed another RB and was going after a 2* in week 3 when I noticed that the #1 HB hadn't signed with anyone yet. It said his interest in my team was high. So I say why not I have extra points and I put 20 on him with coaching style as the pitch. Advance to next week and he signs with me. Couldn't believe it.

Second surprise was I looked through the athletes trying to pick up a speedy QB, and I see a monster. 6'10, 324 lbs and he runs a 4.9 40. 3* and interest high I go after him. He signs with me and I get to assign his position. I had him pegged as a DT, but his rating at LG was even better, 76. Immediate starter for me. Play the first game of the season and he is a beast. I watch replays just so I can watch him line-up and run around.

Sadly there is no way to tell if a player isn't going to qualify.. which is kinda annoying i think.. i read a article saying thats what they intended by people not signing..

But it just looks like the players just decided not to take a 4 year full ride scholarhship.. which is downright crazy

I just signed a 2 star 'athlete'. I'm curious to see what his best position is.

From the main game menu, you have to go into the features menu, and you'll see create a sign.

Some people were noticing how teams are completely demolishing teams in the 4th quarter because the other team isn't composed anymore.

Go to the depth charts during the 4th quarter and you'll see why! Their ratings go down during the game when they're shittin there pants. I've had a guy be -4 overall against a tough opponent.

That's cool stuff.

My QB is on fire. He was an athlete, true freshman. Rated 76 as a QB and that's the best.

He scored the lone TD and just threw a 30 yard bomb! I'm like, man, lemme check out the depth chart to see if anyone is really low in ratings.

My QB reads OVR 87 (+11). But it shows he has no composure? Help me out here.

Sometimes when he's pumped up himself...

Look at the Matchup stick... See if his bar is green, it obviously would be since his ratings have soared.

I held the Hokies to 7 in the first half! 7-7! Then, my boys lost their composure and V-Tech dropped 28 on us in the third alone... entering the 4th, it is 35-7. Bummer.

When play-action works, it's a freakin beauty.. I love seeing my wide receiver wave his hands as he's wide open 30 yards down field! Touchdown

I thought this was some kind of bug but thats sweet. 2 things have bothered me about gameplay though. First, when you're on offense and you hike the ball without pressing any direction, the QB will automatically play for you, so you don't get a true drop back when you pass.

Also, I have a PS2, and Circle on defense is speed burst. When I'm playing as a defensive lineman, and press down and circle at the same time or circle and then down after the ball is hiked to try to get to the QB, for some reason my player jumps at the O-Linemans knees. It gets really annoying because my whole pass rush is screwed after that. Has anyone noticed these two things?

It does get annoying when he chops the OLines Knees I don't know what else we can do.

It makes it much harder to pass rush...plus it gives the opposition time to throw and I'm not that great at defending passes.

This is kind of bad, I simmed two seasons with UNC.

Season 1: 5-6 (5th in ACC)
Season 2: 2-9 (Second to last in ACC)

While Duke didn't win a game in the conference either season, I got removed from the ACC and replaced by FIU.

Hmmmm....
