Micro SDHC/SDXC cards
I'm getting the Samsung Galaxy SIII this week, and because of the camera on the thing, and its ability to take excellent video, I'm going to upgrade to either a 32GB or 64FB micro SD card.
However, all of the information out there is making my head spin. So, I come to you. I'm going to get a class 10 or UHS-1 card...but should I lean towards Samsung or SanDisk? I use SanDisk for my regular camera, and have never had a problem (also discovered there is an Extreme Pro card, which I really want). Should I look at SDHC or SDXC? There doesn't seem to be a big difference between the two, but I've read pros and cons for each. What do you recommend? I have a few days before I purchase anything, so there's no rush. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. |

I was always under the impression that they were exactly the same just that SDXC used a different type of storage (exFAT). Android phones used to only format in FAT 32, which is the SDHC cards.
Somebody smarter than me may be able to confirm or deny my knowledge. |

I discussed this with a photography expert friend of mine, who says that sdxc cards allow for you to record bigger files (>4GB). I do take files that big at concerts, so this would be a plus.
The prices on these amaze me. $75 for a 64GB card? That's *fantastic* for a micro-sd card, and they continue to drop. |

64GB has been confirmed to be utilized on the device by multiple sources. It can also be used on several other devices that claim to support up to 32GB. |

Yeah, most those 32gb specs are simply out of date. My Bionic is listed as 32 as well, but I have 64 in it.
