Anyone ever heard of this book series? It's a futuristic world that has been taken over by China. I'd never heard of them, and I ran across them on another board. The author has written a couple of prequels, and is re relasing the books, I thought they looked interesting.

I read a few a long while ago, something like 15 years ago? It was ok ... considering I was young and very into SF / Fantasy then, that either meant it wasn't that good or it was too sophisticated for the younger me.

I read the first one like nearly 20 years ago when I was a teen. I remember it being pretty good but it could be the whole younger thing like Law said.

I've read the first three or four some 10-15 years ago, I remember liking the first two books really much but gradually lost interest in the story as the books went on. It's a very complex world with some really mature topics being part of the story, though, which can explain why I stopped reading - I probably lost track of what was going on.

Sounds like an interesting premise, I will probably give these a whirl when they come out again, I had never heard of them.
