Ping: Indy FOFC'ers.. GenCon get together?

Any FOFCers in the Indianapolis area or attending GenCOn this year? I'll be out there and was hoping to meet a few folks

I'm targeting next year. I went to Kubla-Con out here on the left coast this year, and had a blast.

Do you attend every year?

My son is probably old enough to go now. Surprisingly, I've never made it to GenCon in Indy despite being 90 mins away. For those that have, is it pretty kid friendly? I don't have an interest in one particular gaming section (since marriage and kids, our annual gaming fests have gone on a hiatus) but would love to know more about it. Thanks!

I wish they'd move it back to Milwaukee. I went first year after it moved to Indy and it was just ughtastic. Haven't gone back since.

There's a bunch of kid friendly events, Colt.

They even created a category of events called "Activities for the Better Half", so you can get away with dragging the SO there and not wanting them to destroy you

I might be game for this SirFozzie.. I've never attended, but it looks pretty cool. My only problem is I could be moving that weekend into the new house at school.

Thanks, I went back and messed around on the site and saw the kids stuff. I have a feeling my son would enjoy it. He's only 5, but my wife already complains I've turned him into a Star Wars geek.

My wife, on the other hand, would probably prefer I hand her a bank card and let her wonder about the Circle Center Mall. I may have to leave her behind so we can eat the following week.
