Valentines Gift Ideas?
I looked on 1-800 Flowers and they want like $60 bucks for roses. Yikes. I hate these kinds of holidays. I always try and think of something cool and unique to get, but usually I come up empty. No, i am not getting her an AM membership either, so please spare me the jokes!

I got roses for like $40Cdn last year. This year I was going to go smaller, but more personal. Can you think of some sort of "thing" between you and her that no one else would understand?

I just bought 2 persons pass for a Pool & Spa Center close to our city to go there tomorrow. It's really nice, with some pools, sauna, massage, etc. After that we will have a romantic dinner. My wife is going to eat me alive tomorrow after that!

Why is there a web site called 1-800-Flowers? Shouldn't that be a phone number?

you should always get your little lady flowers every now and then, chocolates and the occasional date like Icy mentioned. if you do this all year round then you can tell her that you dont need no stinkin holliday to show your appreciation for her, that you show it year round.
i do agree that its a day invented to squeeze more gifts out of men |

Don't get roses. They're overpriced this time of year and they've been stockpiling them for weeks so they're not going to last as long as they normally would. If you like doing the roses thing, do it for her birthday instead.

Doing the Valentines thing late. Mom and sister are going to watch the girls for a night over the weekend (first night alone for us since our youngest was born just about 3 years ago).
I picked up champagne while on a layover in Germany on my last trip and brought that home for her. Will be spending a night at a romantic get-away and luckily the tax return money is back so she doesn't know it yet but we're splurging and going for the high end room (with an indoor pool as well as the whirlpool and fireplace). Will have a romantic basket waiting at the room which includes a couple things from the hotel as well as roses and a dinner deal at one of he local restaurants. This will all be a surprise to her, other than the fact that I rold her wee were going to go out for the evening. Now I just need to recover by the weekend. I have been sick since returning (a week now) and have gotten worse each day, stayed home from work today because of it (unable to sleep because of the constant cough which has now caused my chest to hurt when breathing and especially when coughing). |
