You have to re-sign Kevin Barry. I graduated with him, Park High Class of '97.
That is all. (oh and good dynasty!)

2008 NFL Draft - Top 5 picks
1. Cleveland Browns - RT Eugene Ludwig (Robert Morris) As expected the Browns pick their #1 need, which just happens to be the #1 rated player in the draft. Drafted ratings, 44/95. 2. Green Bay Packers - RCB J.B. Rasolomalala (Duke) Not listed as a top 3 need for the Packers, Rasolomalala definitly has the potential to be a top 3 CB in the league. Considering there are no Guards or QB's projected to go in the top 20, this is a great pick imho. Drafted ratings, 66/88. 3. Tennessee Titans - RDE Brad Ellard (Evansville) List as their #3 need, Ellard is a good pick for Tennessee. Drafted ratings, 53/83. 4. Atlanta Falcons - LDE Moe Gilmore (Arkansas) With Ellard gone, the Falcons address their #1 need in Gilmore. Drafted ratings, 52/75. 5. Houston Texans - LCB Claude Humphrey (Virginia Tech) Most experts thought Houston would take DT Derrick Bryant or RB Sherman Linstrom here, but they go for the #2 CB in the draft. Drafted ratings, 63/84. |

Which brings us to my pick, #25.
We need a starting RT and C. There are some good tackles still on the board, in fact 2 in the top 5, but there is a center that really has me intrigued. C Malcolm Barnhart from Rice. He is listed with a red flag, but I can't help noticing he's #2 on the list as far as non-adjusted grades go. I'm not really sure how far he'll slide as with adjusted grades, he's #37. Tampa Bay is the only team listed with a need at C, so I could try trading up in the 2nd round. Decisions, decisions.. and the clock is ticking. |

Oakland Raiders - Draft Report
2nd Rd (33) - C Malcolm Barnhart, Rice (41/81) 2nd Rd (60) - RT Everett Jenkins, Washington (19/64) 3rd Rd (91) - LDT Leland Hoye, Kansas (23/44) 4th Rd (97) - TE Jay Horiszny, Nebraska (20/50) 4th Rd (122) - QB Broderick Dearman, Vanderbilt (18/64) 5th Rd (153) - K Kyle Barokas, Pittsburgh (53/53) 6th Rd (188) - LCB Kirk LaPlante, Lafayette (22.44) Interesting draft for us. Barnhart should start. Jenkins could start later this year with some experience and maybe will after we see how quick he can develop. Hoye might be ok for a backup position, depending on late FA. Horiszny should be fine at backup TE. Dearman is a long shot, but I definitly like what I see in his potential. Barokas will compete with Janikowski for kicking duties. LaPlante might make the team, but we'll also look in late FA. |

CB Charles Woodson of the Green Bay Packers has been suspended by the league office for the 2008 Season.
Woodson tested positive for alcohol use, in violation of the league's strict anti-drug policy. Woodson nor his agent could be reached for comments. Now it's clear why Head Coach Everett Burmbaugh drafted CB J.B. Rasolomalala #2 overall in the draft. "We had a suspicion Woodson was having trouble with alcohol abuse, but I couldn't get him to return any of my calls in the offseason." "He's a great player, but he needs help.", said Everett. The Green Bay Packers were 4-12 last year. |

DE Derrick Burgess is holding out for a new contract.
Code:
Burgess is 6th in the league with 24 sacks and is second to Brayton on the team who has 28.5. He wants a TON of money thought and I'll have to think about this for a bit. |

LCB Kirk LaPlante LDT Leland Hoye We do sign DT Harvey Ripken, Nebraska (12/51) Ripken was an undrafted FA who looks to have decent potential. |

DE Derrick Burgess has ended his holdout!
From Burgess: "I have decided that loyalty is more important than money. I will report to active duty immediately." A VERY surprising move considering Burgess has never been considered a "loyal" player. "We are VERY happy for Burgess's return and will continue to work on a new contract for him.", said GM MizzouRah. |

We currently have the worst season ticket sales in the league. I have a feeling the owner is not too pleased, but we went to the playoffs last year and had a great season. I'm not too sure what else these fans want from us. Last edited by MizzouRah : 02-10-2007 at 02:00 PM. |

We are ready for the season!
K Sebastian Janikowski wins the kicking duties for now. LT Robert Gallery will miss at least the first 15 weeks of the season, an injury suffered last year in Week 15. This is a HUGE loss for us. |

1-3 after 4 games and I'm not too happy. We have the 27th ranked offense and the WORST defense in the league. We better get our heads out of our butts these next 4 games.

3-5 now with half a season to go, not good. Hopefully Gallery can give this offensive line a spark and allow this terrible rushing offense to gain some yards.

That loss eliminated us from the playoffs and I'm exhausted. I have so much to now think out, but it will have to wait as we have 4 games left.
Do I start a backup QB with tons of potential and send a message to Walter a message that he's just not getting it done? |

We finish 5-11 and run my record to 24-24 since coming here in 2006.
There are a TON of things to do this offseason and a TON of decisions to make reguarding which direction this team needs to go. Last edited by MizzouRah : 02-17-2007 at 10:15 AM. |
