FOF8 screen messed up

I'm trying to play FOF8 again with the new update but I've found the screen to now be messed up. It's as if the screens aren't filling the windows. I've tried everything I could think of, but nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Try uninstalling/reinstalling, then restarting your computer.

I'd engage Solecismic Customer Support then. Something appears to be going on, but I'm not sure what. Some people have reported issues, while others (myself included) are seeing no change in the display.

Yeah it doesn't fit right for me either, at 1080p resolution if it matters.

Try it now with the 8.2a update. It's fixed on my end after updating.

With the patch, the display is good but the Game Controls menu and the Game Stage menu have both disappeared - no way to access them. Others have reported the same on the Steam page.

How do you contact Solecistic support? I don't see any way to submit an issue on their website. Unless I'm missing something, the Support page is just a FAQ.

If you are reporting a bug, please report everything you did prior to observing the problem. Every click, details about what stage of the season you're in. If we can't recreate a problem, we can't fix it. Please be willing to respond to requests for more information about your report.

If there's a crash, please check your computer's Event Viewer (eventvwr from the Run command) and copy the corresponding event record. There's no way to begin to diagnose a crash without that record. Also, tell us, in detail, each screen that was open and the exact sequence of events that led to the crash. Crashes will be fixed, but not without all of this information. We always reply to bug reports, and there are no unresolved bug reports in the game. However, if you report something, but do not respond to follow-up questions, we have no choice but to close the report. Again, please be willing to respond to requests for more information if you find a problem you feel is a bug in the game.

Our email address is customersupport AT solecismic.com. Please do not send file attachments, as email with attachments will automatically be deleted before we read it.

I submitted a ticket to Solecismic and was told "very likely removing the frfoot.fgr from the universe directory" would solve the problem. Worked for me.
