Coach Keeps Switching to 43 Defense

I can't seem to stop computer coach from switching the defense to 43. Doesn't matter that D Coach is a 34 background and I have 34 personnel. I turn off the single player options but they still seem to get switched. I don't want to get into game planning details, just want to be able to draft/sign personnel for a 34, and stick to it. Any help is appreciated.

Are you using the coaches preference at that stage? You have to click submit.

Under Controls-Edit Single Player Options I have everything off, and click ok. Then as long as I leave all the options off till after training camp I should be ok to turn some of the coach stuff back on shouldn't I?

Coaches are chosen during a specific change right after the start of a new season, when you are there at that time you can switch them. Otherwise you stuck with the front /43 or 34) that your current coordinator has.

Try reading the help file and Defensive Philosophy documents provided for further clarification.
