August 2011
PF Tim Shepard- Mr. Shepards top 5 has changed dramatically, as Louisville is the only one from the initial top 5 that remains this month, as they've jumped to the top spot. Also joining the fray are Illinois, Purdue, Butler, and Marquette. All but Purdue have offered. SF Jawouk Bafou- The Nigerian stud is being looked at by just 2 schools right now: Kansas and Hawaii! Kansas has offered, Hawaii has not. PG Eddie Chilton- Kansas could be looking at a huge recruiting class this season, as Eddie has the Jayhawks #1 on his list. UCLA is still in the top 5. Utah St. has been dropped, and Utah is in, as well as Nevada and California. Only Kansas and Nevada have offered. SF Rob Nielsen- From the looks of it, Rob is going to stay out west for college. Stanford and USC have jumped to the top of the list. UCLA, Arizona, and Utah State are out of the top 5, while California, San Diego State, and UNLV are in. USC, Cal, and SD State have offered, Stanford and UNLV haven't. SG Avery Thomas- New Mexico is the biggest school looking at Avery right now. Weber State is another interesting prospect. As of right now, Idaho State is the only school to offer Avery a scholarship. Also in the mix are Montana and Southern Utah. PG Mike Schaplowsky- The 1 star prospect is not getting a lot of looks. However it appears that Wyoming has an interest, as well as Northern Colorado. |

September 2011
PF Tim Shepard- Purdue, Butler, and Marquette have dropped out of the running for Tims services next season, leaving Louisville and Illinois to duke it out. Both have offered. SF Jawouk Bafou- Barring a major change between now and the start of the signing period, Mr. Bafou is destined to be a Jayhawk. Jawouk told Hawaii thanks but no thanks, and now Kansas is the last one standing. Another school could still throw their name into the hat however. PG Eddie Chilton- I honestly don't know what has happened with Eddie. It could be a glitch in the game, but for whatever reason, there are no schools listed in Eddies top schools! We'll wait and see what happens next month before we panic. SF Rob Nielsen- Not only has Rob apparently narrowed his region of choice down, but he's narrowed it down to the Pac 12 conference. USC, Stanford, and Cal are all fighting for Robs signature. SG Avery Thomas- The top 5 for Avery has remained the same: Idaho St., Weber St., Montana, Southern Utah, and New Mexico. All have offered. PG Mike Schaplowsky- It still appears to be between Northern Colorado and Wyoming, but neither one has offered yet. |

October 2011
PF Tim Shepard- Illinois has dropped off the radar, making Louisville the only choice for Tim. All he has to do is one for the signing period to start, making it official. SF Jawouk Bafou- Kansas still appears to be the choice for Jawouk, but another big school has entered the fray. Wisconsin is starting to take a hard look, but they haven't offered yet. PG Eddie Chilton- Not a clue what happened last month, but this month Eddie has a top 5 again: Utah, UCLA, Cal, Oregon, and USC. Looks like he has decided he wants to stay in the Pac 12 as well. No scholarship offers yet, they should be coming. SF Rob Nielsen- Looks as though Cal has decided against pursuing Rob, as it is now down to Stanford and USC, with both offers on the table. SG Avery Thomas- Idaho St. and Weber St. look to be duking it out for Averys services. Weber State has a much better prestige, but as of now, Avery appears to have Idaho St. as his #1 choice. PG Mike Schaplowsky- No change for Mike, as Northern Colorado and Wyoming are still the only 2 schools recruiting him, but neither one seems impressed enough to give Mike an offer. |

November 2011
PF Tim Shepard- Tennessee, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, and Ohio State started looking at Tim, but much too late, as he made it official, committing to Louisville! SF Jawouk Bafou- It looked as if Jawouk would have been willing to wait it out had Wisconsin offered him a scholarship, but they chose not to, so the Nigerian nightmare will be heading to Kansas next season! PG Eddie Chilton- A big shake up in the running for Eddie, as not only has New Mexico jumped to the top of the list, but they are also they only team to currently offer Eddie a scholarship. Rumor has it that Eddie was involved in some legal troubles early in the recruiting period, which may have led to the reason he had no top 5 in September. SF Rob Nielsen- The decision was made easy for Rob when USC decided to go a different way. That means Mr. Nielsen will be heading to Stanford next season! SG Avery Thomas- Apparently Idaho State made a huge pitch to Avery and promised him more playing time than he would have gotten at Weber State. That, combined with the fact Weber State didn't offer, means Avery will be heading to Idaho State next year! PG Mike Schaplowsky- Wyoming has backed out of the running for Mike, and Northern Colorado still hasn't offered a scholarship. It's quite possible Mike may be going the juco route next season. |

December 2011
PG Eddie Chilton- Things didn't turn out exactly as Eddie was wanting. Wisconsin made a late push, but not a hard enough push, and Eddie decided just to get it over with, committing to New Mexico. PG Mike Schaplowsky- No change, as Schaplowsky is still being looked at by Northern Colorado, but that's all they are doing is looking. |

As we end the 2011-2012 season, the bad news came that Mike Schaplowsky would not be playing D1 basketball. I will recreate his recruit card and try him again next season. To finish this off, lets recap where our other 5 recruits are headed:
PF Tim Shepard- Louisville SF Jawouk Bafou- Kansas PG Eddie Chilton- New Mexico SF Rob Nielsen- Stanford SG Avery Thomas- Idaho State So an interesting mix of schools. I realize that I could make it so that we ended up with nothing but 4 and 5 star recruits... but I think adding the 3 and 2 and 1 star recruits adds a little bit of realism to the dynasty. It's kind of interesting to see some of our recruits end up at schools like New Mexico and Idaho State, instead of power schools. Season 2 to begin shortly. |
