Some very interesting match ups...
a-ha vs Silhouettes - don't expect much here Glitter vs Rome - both beat good round 1 opponents and by about the same vote spread. Will be interested to see how this one plays out. Blonds vs Day - I believe Day's huge round 1 victory was more about the opponent...but will see for sure this round. New Radicals vs Marc Cohn - another good matchup...Cohn's 31 votes in round 1 compared to NR's 26 might be an indication of what to expect. |

That New Radicals vs. Walking in Memphis matchup was the toughest one for me from this set. I enjoy both those songs quite a bit, but if I had to banish one from my life and keep the other (my assessment criteria), Walking in Memphis stays.

Gary Glitter is morally tough to vote for, but it is a good song.
Abstention is the best policy I think

Hate vote against What's Going On. Love Take On Me and Walking in Memphis. Glitter gets the slight nod for the 4th vote.

Thoughts:
So it looks like the writing is on the wall for this bracket at this point, but maybe there is a surprise in store... a-ha vs The Silhouettes - no brainer Glitter vs Rome - thought this might be much closer... Blondes vs Day - was pleasantly surprised with Day's vote totals...didn't expect it. Radicals vs Cohn - Cohn wins big...looks to be a tough out. |
