FBCB Interactive Player Dynasty- Season 6 (2019-2020)
It's time to get season 6 underway, and with no recruits, we can move right into the depth charts. First, let's start with the 13 players that have already used their redshirt season.
C Jace Hunter (Xavier)- Jace is projected to be the starting C. No surprise there. PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn)- Randy is projected to be the starting SG this season. PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- Ivan is projected to be the starting PF. SF Chester Smith (Maryland)- Poor Chester just can't catch a break with the stacked Maryland roster, he's listed 10th on the depth chart this season. PG Al Mighty (Houston)- Al is projected to be the starting PG this season. SG Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV)- Ricardo has shifted to the starting SF spot this season. SF Jack Dawkins (Syracuse)- Jack will be starting the season on academic suspension, but I expect if he gets off of it, he'll be Syracuse's starting SF in 2020. PF Bam Jamison (Grambling)- Bam is projected 10th on the depth chart this season. C Ralph King (Duke)- Ralph is listed 7th on the depth chart this season, so he should see good minutes. PG Benton Gale (High Point)- Benton is also listed 7th on the depth chart this season. PG Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- Mike is listed 9th on the depth chart this season and might see some minutes. PF Path Twelve (Oregon)- Path is also listed 7th on the depth chart this season. SG Qwikshot Collins (Pittsburgh)- Qwikshot was forced to take a medical redshirt last season, which means unfortunately he's used up his redshirt season. Another player that is listed 7th on the depth chart for his team. Now, 9 players have their redshirt year available if they choose to use it. C Rudy Arellano (Long Beach State)- Rudy will be the starting PF, and of course there's no need to redshirt him. C Ariel Ginsberg (Georgetown)- Ariel is listed 6th on the depth chart. Certainly he'll get some good playing time, so if it were up to me I wouldn't redshirt him. But it's up to DavidCoperial. SG Thomas Magnum (Marshall)- Thomas will shift to the starting SF spot, so he really doesn't need to redshirt. However, it's up to StLee, but since he hasn't been on the forums in over 2 months, I'll make the decision to let Thomas play. SG Jaybard Riley (Michigan State)- Jaybard is listed as the starting SG. No reason for him to redshirt, but what do you think Neuqua? C Tim Sheppard (Mississippi State)- Tim is projected to be the starting PF. What do you think rjolley? Redshirt or no? PF Erik Flamebeard (UCLA)- Erik is listed 12th on the depth chart. He would be a good redshirt candidate, however, he is also a potential transfer candidate if he is redshirted. Tough call, what do you want to do Coffee Warlord? SG Cameron Blodgett (Duke)- Cameron is actually listed as the starting PG. No reason to redshirt him, but it's up to Grover. PF Jawouk Bafou (Georgetown)- Jawouk is listed 8th on the depth chart. He has said he will not transfer if he's redshirted, but we've seen other players say that and then get redshirted and transfer. So what do you think britrock88? PG Jackson Pace (Purdue)- Jackson is listed 6th on the depth chart, and already is projected to be a star. Do you want to redshirt him or let him play cmp? I'll give everybody a little while to think about it, and I plan on getting this started within the next couple days. |

Excellent, I've heard from everybody, and I will do my best to get a couple weeks of season 6 knocked out this weekend. Maybe even get 1 in tonight. I have a couple new features I will be doing, aside from the game of the week, I also plan to have an FOFC player of the week, and I was considering doing an FOFC freshman of the week, but I may not. I also may do something along the lines of an FOFC individual performance of the week. What do you guys think?

Now, for the new feature I told you about, we've got some awards to hand out for the current week. This year I'm doing 3 weekly awards, an FOFC Player of the Week, an FOFC Freshman of the Week, since we've got 6 freshman, including 2 redshirt freshmen, that should get a fair share of playing time, and finally, and FOFC Individual Game Performance of the Week. So, let's get to it. FOFC Player of the Week Jaybard Riley- Michigan State Jaybard averaged 29.5 points a game in the Spartans 2 games this week, including a 34 point effort against Jacksonville State. Granted, the competition was light, but still, averaging almost 30 points a game is sensational no matter what. FOFC Freshman of the Week Path Twelve- Oregon This one was basically by default, as only 2 of our 6 available freshman's teams had games this week. Path wins the award with a solid 12 point, 6 rebound effort. FOFC Individual Game Performance of the Week 11/12/19- Jace Hunter (Xavier) -- Jace had a huge game against Kansas in the Coaches Invitational Semifinals, as he was just 2 blocks away from a triple double. ok guys, I need some opinions here. First, what do you guys think about the weekly awards? Do you think 3 awards are overkill? Would Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week be enough? Or do you guys like the Individual Game Performance of the Week too?
Also, do you guys like the short recaps for every player every week? Or should I skip those and just give game scores and stats? I'd like to hear as many opinions as possible, because I'm 50-50 on what to do, on both counts. I feel like after a while, the awards are going to become a bit hard to determine every week, especially player of the week. So guys, hit me with your opinions. All are welcome. |

First of all, WHOOOOOOOOOOO, love the bounce back after the foul out game.
As for the write ups, I'm really enjoying how you've been presenting things, but honestly, whatever makes it the most interesting/fun for you to write works for me. Award wise, I may be partial to the 3 award setup, but again, if you're finding it tedious or tough to decide on each week, no worries if you change it to work better for you.

Here are the awards for the week ending Nov. 24, 2019:
FOFC Player of the Week Randy Rodgers- Auburn Randy averaged just over 16 points, 5 rebounds, and about 7 assists per game and the Tigers' 3 games this week. He also had 2 POTG awards. FOFC Freshman of the Week Cameron Blodgett- Duke The week started off slow for Cameron, but his last 2 games of the week saw him average 19 points and 6 assists, with a couple POTG awards. Easily the best week for a freshman so far. FOFC Single Game Performance of the Week Randy Rodgers (Auburn)- 11/22/19- Maui Shootout Consolation Semifinals vs. (8) South Alabama (W 80-58), 14 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 block, 4 steals, (POTG). I went with this game over Randy's 24 point effort the day after, only because the shooting percentage was a tad better, and Randy had a block and a few more steals in this one, but either of Randy's final 2 games of the week could have gotten the award. Also, Rudy Arellano's double-double got some consideration too. So there you have it, Randy doubles up on the awards this week, and I figure that will probably happen quite a bit, the FOFC Player of the Week also having the Performance of the Week. |

Guys, I'm all for any opinions you guys want to give me regarding the weekly awards. I'd like to hear if you guys think I made the right choices, the wrong choices, somebody got slighted, maybe you guys think somebody had a better game than the one I picked. To be honest, if I thought I could depend on enough guys to vote every week, I'd go that route. But I don't think I can get that lucky, as I'm sure some of the FOFC members that have players on here either aren't following anymore, or wouldn't have time to interactively participate in weekly voting.

I agree with the awards. Randy had a great week and Cameron played the best for the freshmen. Hopefully, Tim can step up and play consistently well for MSU.

The awards make a lot of sense. I can't really push for Jamison's dominating 2-point performance versus St. Louis.

Looks like we've got 1 feature game this week, let's take a look: 12/1/19- #3 Duke (Ralph King, Cameron Blodgett) @ High Point (Benton Gale) -- The Blue Devils came into this game expecting to run all over the Panthers, but this was a heck of a game. Duke led by 13 at halftime, but High Point came storming back, taking advantage of Duke's 3-21 three point shooting. Unfortunately, the 54-30 rebound edge for the Blue Devils was enough to get a 9 point win. Final Score: #3 Duke- 80, High Point- 71 Cameron Blodgett (#3 Duke)- 10 points, 5 assists, 1 steal. Ralph King (#3 Duke)- 2 points, 5 rebounds. Benton Gale (High Point)- 11 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist. And now to the rest of the weekly recap: RS SR C Jace Hunter (#21 Xavier) 11/28/19 at Indiana State (L 86-62), 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block. 11/30/19 vs. Rider (W 95-65), 12 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal, (Double-double). RS SR PG Randy Rodgers (Auburn) 11/25/19 at Cincinnati (L 72-69), 8 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals. RS SR PF Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State) 11/28/19 at UConn (W 106-93), 17 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block. RS JR SF Chester Smith (#10 Maryland) 11/25/19 vs. Appalachian State (W 71-66), 1 rebound. 11/27/19 at UMBC (W 78-60), 2 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal. 11/30/19 vs. Hofstra (W 67-50), 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block. Better late than never, but here are the awards for the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1, and boy was it tough!
FOFC Player of the Week Thomas Magnum- Marshall Thomas averaged 19.5 points and 6 rebounds a game this week. He had some competition for this award though, as Cameron Blodgett had a great week. FOFC Freshman of the Week Cameron Blodgett- Duke Quite honestly, Cameron is the only freshman averaging double figures in anything right now, as we've got 1 redshirting, and 1 that isn't playing much if it all. The others aren't quite producing at Cameron's level, so I have a feeling before it's all said and done, Mr. Blodgett will have a lot of this Frosh of the Week awards. FOFC Single Game Performance of the Week Jace Hunter (Xavier)- 11/30/19 vs. Rider (W 95-65), 12 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal, (Double-double). Granted, there were probably better individual numbers out there, but Jace had the only double-double of the week, so he's getting the award. I am going to try and get another week of this done either tonight or tomorrow, but those of you that were reading my 50 year dynasty report as well know that my computer isn't being kind to me, so I'm going to make darn sure that there won't be anymore major lock-ups or reboots, because the last thing I want is either this or the coaches dynasty to get wiped out thanks to a computer that doesn't want to work right. So be patient, I'm hoping everything is a go when I get home from work tonight, but we'll see. |

Thanks, yea between health issues, a busy work schedule, taking on way too many projects, and now a bit of a computer snag, I haven't gotten nearly as much work done on this project as I would have liked. Hopefully the computer is good to go now, and I plan on getting it going again next week, most likely Monday, but maybe not until Tuesday as I have a pretty full day Monday. |

Hey collegesportsfanms, glad to see you're feeling better and things have slowed down some for you.
Is Tim Sheppard starting or coming off the bench? Not sure if others want to know, but it might be nice to see if the player started and the number of minutes played, if that's not too much to add. |

I don't think it would be too hard at all, I can definitely include that stuff in the line, I just have to figure out how to set it up so that it looks good. I'll work on that though, and do a trial for the next game week and see how it looks. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm always open to them.

I'm going to go ahead and bust out the next week of the season now, and then decide on awards for both the last 2 weeks sometime today, so here we go:
Dec. 9-15, 2019 Our FOFC teams had a busy week playing each other this week, as we have 4 feature games to talk about, so let's jump right into it. 12/9/19- Arizona State (Ivan Carrillo) @ Syracuse (Jack Dawkins) -- This game was over within the first 10 minutes, as the Cuse dominated the entire game, shooting 45% to just 33.9 for the Sun Devils, and making 14 three pointers to just 3 for Arizona St. Final Score: Syracuse- 90, Arizona State- 52 Ivan Carrillo (Arizona State)- started game, 25 minutes played, 6 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks. Jack Dawkins (Syracuse)- academic suspension. 12/10/19- #4 Michigan State (Jaybard Riley) @ #7 Pitt (Qwikshot Collins) -- A top 10 game of epic proportions, but another one that didn't live up to the hype. The Spartans led by only 7 at halftime, but turned it up in the second half, forcing 17 second half turnovers and rolling to an easy victory. Final Score: #4 Michigan State- 77, #7 Pittsburgh- 52 Jaybard Riley (#4 Michigan State)- started game, 31 minutes played, 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, (POTG). Qwikshot Collins (#7 Pittsburgh)- came off bench, 9 minutes played, 3 points, 2 rebounds. And we keep the feature games going: 12/10/19- Houston (Al Mighty) @ Kansas State (Mike Schaplowsky) -- This one was an instant classic, as we had 11 lead changes, as the Cougars came roaring back from a 9 point halftime deficit to force overtime. In the end, the Wildcats were too much as they scored the last 4 points of the overtime frame to survive and get the win. Final Score: Kansas State- 82, Houston- 79 Al Mighty (Houston)- started game, 39 minutes played, 10 points, 1 rebound, 7 assists. Mike Schaplowsky (Kansas State)- DNP (Coaches Decision). And finally: 12/14/19- Syracuse (Jack Dawkins) @ #23 UCLA (Erik Flamebeard) -- A battle of games in which neither of our FOFC players played in, and it was a major comeback for the Orange, who found themselves down 10 at halftime. They turned it on in the second half, taking care of the basketball with just 8 turnovers in the game. The result was a nice 15-0 run midpoint in the second half to steal a road victory. Final Score: Syracuse- 86, #23 UCLA- 78 Jack Dawkins (Syracuse)- academic suspension Erik Flamebeard (#23 UCLA)- redshirting. And now we get to the rest of the weekly recap. Whew! Just a heads up, I'm still having some weird computer happenings at home. I think it has something to do with Windows 10 and updates. I hate Windows 10 with a passion already.
I've already lost one of my FBCB projects, so I'm being cautious with this one. I'm going to move forward, but be forewarned, if worse comes to worse there's a slight chance this project will have to be restarted, or at least backed up and some of the weeks may have to be replayed. If that happens, we'll just have to deal with it the best we can. It's not ideal, but computer issues have been the death of my projects for a while now. Again, I'll keep moving on, but just a heads up. I'm hoping things are ok now after the latest updates, but I don't know. |

Guys, I'm afraid I have some terrible news. I just got the word today that the computer I have at home that I run FBCB on is on life support. In other words, I'm going to have to pony up for a new PC, and reinstall FBCB. That unfortunately means this project is a wash.
I have decided, at this time, that I will not restart the FBCB Player Dynasty. I'm doing this for 2 reasons. #1, I personally enjoy working on the FBCB coaches dynasty more, and with all the other projects I have going on, I need to knock something out. Also, I've been unsuccessful in my attempts to import the FBCB draft files into FBPB to follow pro careers as well. That is something I would have liked to do, so until I figure that out, I'm just going to concentrate on my other projects, and I may restart this one at a later time. I apologize to everybody, as I was looking forward to seeing how it played out. I know some of you aren't big followers on my other dynasties, but I'd like to keep you all as followers, so please check out some of my other dynasties. I will be restarting the coaches dynasty at some point and will start taking sign-ups for it today, so for those of you that were in this dynasty, I also urge you to sign up and take a coach. Again I apologize, I may try a player dynasty again at some point, but as far as FBCB goes, when I get a new computer up and running and get FBCB reinstalled, I will be concentrating on the coaches dynasty, as well as the 50 year dynasty I had going. I'll be restarting both of those. I hope to see you guys checking them out. Thanks! |

Bummer! Thanks for letting us know.
I'll just go ahead and dream that Jaybard Riley eventually became an NBA Hall of Famer.

Yea, I feel terrible about not being able to go on with it. I hate letting the readers down when projects fall apart.
If I ever get a chance to do another one and incorporate the pro game into it, best believe I will, but right now I want to concentrate on some other stuff. Hope everybody understands |

Some possible good news on this dynasty front. My old computer, after my computer tech did some work on it, seems to be working better. No promises, but I may be able to resume this dynasty, as I have not yet deleted it. However, if I do resume it, I will not add anymore recruits or players, and it will be over once everybody is done playing whether it be NBA, NCAA, or the development league. That's assuming I can figure out how to get the draft classes properly imported. However, because of a busy schedule the rest of the month, it won't be until after the 1st of November before I jump back into this.
Now, if I can't figure out how to import draft classes, then this dynasty will end when everybody's college eligibility ends. That doesn't mean there won't be times where I have to go back and replay weeks due to computer issues, I'm not saying my comp is out of the woods yet, but I'm going to attempt to back it up at least once a week. So, for those still following, there is hope! |

I am going to try and get a week or 2 done next week before I go out of town, so since it's been so long, I'm not going to bother going back and trying to figure out awards for the previous couple weeks, as I know I kind of forgot about those.
Starting with the week of Dec. 16-22, 2019, I'll get back to the awards |

And now it's time to announce the awards for this week. FOFC Player of the Week Jace Hunter (Xavier) Jace averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 blocks this week, a week where nobody completely stood out to me. He also had double-doubles in both of Xavier's games, and had 1 POTG award. FOFC Freshman of the Week Cameron Blodgett (Duke) None of the freshman that get playing time really stood out this week, but Cameron had a nice 16 points, 7 assist game in the Blue Devils' only game of the week. FOFC Single Game Performance of the Week Al Mighty (Houston)- 12/16/19 vs. Texas Southern (W 86-41), started game, 35 mins played, 23 points, 4 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals, (Double-double), (POTG). Although you could have went with either of Jace's games for this award, I'm giving it to Al for his performance in this game as he was the individual game scoring leader for the week, and anytime you get more than 10 dimes in a game, you're doing something right. So there you have it guys, this dynasty is back, and I hope it's going to end up being compatible with the pro game, because I'm really looking forward to seeing how some of our players fare in the pros. Also, I am not taking into account quality of competition for the awards, as it is hard enough to decide the awards as is. I was considering getting all the followers together and having a vote, but since the replies on this are few and far between, I'm just going to rough it and do my best. |

Ok, I scored 18 points out of 54 against UNC Greensboro and 13 points in 14 minutes against Notre Dame. Don't you think I should be starting coach??? |

1 feature game this week to talk about, and it was a big one. 12/24/19- #15 Syracuse (Jack Dawkins) @ #20 Xavier (Jace Hunter) -- This one was an absolute classic, as Syracuse just decided to let shots fly in this one, attempting 75 shots! Unfortunately they only made 29 of them for 38.7%. After leading at halftime, they let one slip away as Xavier pulled out a tough victory. And here are your awards for the week. FOFC Player of the Week Ricardo Tubbs (UNLV) Ricardo averaged 22 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and just over 2 steals in 3 games this week. His 35 point effort against UC Santa Barbara, in a losing effort no less, almost got him a second award this week. More on that later. He got POTG for that 35 point effort and also added a double-double later in the week. FOFC Honorable Mention Benton Gale (High Point) If not for Ricardo's incredible week, Benton gets POTW. He averaged 19 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals this week. Doesn't seem like much, until you take into account he is doing this off the bench! What's even more amazing is that coming off the bench, he earned POTG honors in both of High Point's games this week. I'm with Breeze, come on coach, why isn't this guy starting?? FOFC Freshman of the Week Path Twelve (Oregon) This award is kind of by default, as I wasn't truly impressed with any of the freshmen this week. I normally don't like to give awards to players whose teams only played 1 game in a week, but Path had a nice 12 points, 8 rebound outing in his game. 2 rebounds short of a double-double in Oregon's lone game of the week? That'll work for me. FOFC Single Game Performance of the Week Jace Hunter (#20 Xavier)- 12/24/19 vs. #15 Syracuse (W 83-81), started game, 36 mins played, 17 points, 18 rebounds, 4 blocks, (Double-double). Without Jace's performance, Xavier doesn't win this game. Although 18 rebounds in a game doesn't even come close to setting a record (23 is the best so far in this FBCB dynasty). And that concludes another week, I hope you all are enjoying. |
