Key Phone Calls

4 of our key players have decided to throw their hat into the ring and declare for the NFL Draft; RT Frederick Spivey, RE Tyson Williams, DT Nate Robinson and SS Maximus Meridius.

We have 800 recruiting points for week 1 that we can use toward trying to keep the 4 aforementioned players here.

A head coach visit will cost 48 points, an assistant coach visit will cost 24, a head coach call will be 12, and a call from the assistant will cost us 6.

Bednarik Award winner Tyson Williams is 1st up on our call list. He is slightly leaning toward staying, so we shouldn't have to do too much arm twisting with him. An Assistant coach will visit Tyson, while Coach schiano will place a call with him costing us 36 points.

Tyson: "You gotta understand, Coach. This is a tough decision for me."
This time, Coach Schiano will visit with Tyson, while an assistant will place a call, costing us 54 points.

Tyson: "It's up in the air, Coach. One day I feel like staying, the next day I wanna go."

Another headcoach call/ assistant coach visit combination, costing us 36 more points.

Tyson: "OK, you talked me into it. I think I'm gonna stick it out and earn my degree."

Frederick Spivey is the anchor of our offensive line, and a key to everything we do offensively. He is slightly leaning toward leaving for the NFL. We'll start things off with a head coach visit and an assistant coach call, costing 54 points.

Frederick: "My parents feel it's best for me to stay and finish up my degree."

Two-time All American SS Maximus Meridius is the next person we must convince to stay at Rutgers. He's basically right in the middle of staying and leaving so we will once again use the trusty head coach visit and assistant coach call.

Maximus: "There's so much I haven't accomplished here. I'm coming back next year."

Big Nate Robinson is the last guy we have who wanted to test the NFL and he is the most solid in his convictions, as he is very solidly leaning toward going pro. With 566 points remaning, we will have both the head and assistant coaches visit with Nate.

Nate: "This has gotta be the toughest decision I've had to make. I'm still uncertain."

Another head coach visit and a call from an assistant coach.

Nate: "The only thing I'm certain of, Coach, is that I'm completely undecided."

Week 1 recruiting is going to be more difficult with the points we've expended on our early declarers, but we need to keep our team leaders here. Another visit from both coaches is in order.

You're on the field most of the game anyway. I use Hendricks as the WR in the I Form Tight Formation, but you come in as the 3rd TE for the jumbo package.
