Problems I am still noticing after 5.0a - bugs
1. I notice that - Cornerbacks still have alot of sacks - I just simmed two seasons and my four starting cornerbacks had an average of 11 sacks a season - that seems a little high to me - one guy had 5 sacks one season.
2. The depth chart problem seemed to have gone away - (where when you check your depth chart during the game , it was of a different team) - but now when I view a play and want to change a specific player out of the play - the players in the play are from a different team. 3. The career stats - the average column in the return game for kick returners are all messed up. Anybody else notice these? |

And corner blitzes lead Ronde Barber to 6 or 7 sacks one season...

Why about the other things (#2 & #3) - maybe I just got a lucky streak of CB blitzes

Kick return averages for a career are messed up.

How about this?
Anybody notice alot of this? Offense: I-Formation, WR Moves to Slot, Strength = Left. Defense: 34 Alignment, Man-to-Man (Bump & Run), Run - Normal. Blitzing: 59 Fuller. NJY 12 Arrowsmith pass completed to 39 Grier for 15 yards. Tackled by IND 36 Lehmkuhl. The receiver made his way through serious traffic for that catch. Grier gained 3 yards after the catch. Ball was fumbled and recovered by NJY 39 Grier for 38 yards and a touchdown! This is my 6th (play-calling game) since the patch and this is the 4th offensive fumble recovery in 6 games. anybody else see this increase a bit? |

I think this is a new problem, although I didn't play the game too much before the patch:
Emails disappear when you exit the simulation window for the second time during a week. For example, sim the games for week 1, exit the simulation window, and you have the normal 3+ emails. Go back to the simulation window and exit without simming the games for week 2. The emails are gone. This seems like it might be related to #28 on the patch fix list: "28. Suppress repeated email generation during season when exiting simulation window and still in current week." It sounds as if people were getting double emails before, and now you lose them entirely. |

3.4 - I believe I never even touched what was recommended to my team. gabeschw - I did notice that and you are right. That does happen - it deletes them all together. That needs to be fixed. Concerning the offensive fumble recoveries for TD - I had another one in my 12th game of the year - anybody else notice an increase in these? Look at my post PbP post above - if you don't know what an offensive fumbled recovery for TD is. |

I don't normally see logs, but FOF4 had a lot of offensive players returning fumbles for touchdowns. Unfortunately I never kept track enough to see if it's out of whack, but it always seemed like there were 2 or 3 games I was involved with during a season that had a WR or RB return a fumble for a TD.

Something similar popped up in the Kitty Hawk GroupThink project, it appeared that the nickel cornerback would blitz often and register a good amount of sacks. I believe this was because he was replacing a LB that had a high blitz percentage.

I had a small bug tonight. After a drive the scoreboard said the drive was 19 plays and 153 yards. Forgot to get a screenshot. Here's a look at the game log (it was actually an 8 play, 77 yard drive):

With 10 seconds left in the first half, and Dallas on their own 6, they did this:
Offense: Single-Back Formation, Normal, Strength = Right. Defense: 43 Alignment, Nickel Personnel, 3-Deep Zone, Pass - Aggressive. DAL 14 Rice dropped to one knee for -2 yards. The ball goes over on downs. I got the ball back with time on the clock... |

When I start a new career with "Begin with Complete Draft", clicking on the "View Draft Order" occasionally crashes the game.

Will do. It happened again in Week 4, I think it was. I'll send both.
edit - As soon as I get home and escape to the computer.

I'm still seeing players with high ratings in punt and kick returns show up with "0"s for their actual skill and their statistics are awful. I still think that the computer is reading their return ratings wrong or something to that effect. If I am the only one seeing this then please disregard this message.

I traded with Carolina to get their 1st rd pick and in the transactions log it showed that trade as being with San Diego. It also says that I gave SDO my 1st rd pick when I did not include mine in the trade. Everything outside of the transaction log is fine.

If you're talking about the real palyer file the fix in this thread works. http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/for...&highlight=csv I did it and have Dante Hall with kick and punt returns in the 90's. Also on my Rams before doing this Faulk and Bruce were my kick returners and after it's Arlen Harris and Garrett with a few other corners that have acceptable return ratings. |

I can't believe Im the only one getting this bug: I'm playing as Houston and ever since the 2nd year, when doing play-calling, if I go to the screen where you can override the players for a particular play, all the players listed in the drop-downs on the left-hand side of the screen are for another team. This is now happening for me all the time. Am I the only one getting this?!

Haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, and it's a tough one to confirm, but under Franchise Value is sure seems like the ratings for Stadium and Roster may be reversed. I have a crappy team that opened a new stadium, and I'm listed as 32 stadium, 89 roster. The top three of four roster ratings are all for teams with new stadiums. I know the ratings are subjective, but they seem to be flipped.

I got a weird one. I deleted a few saved games from 2007 (I keep multiple saved games as a habit so I can go back and see things) and now I'm in 2008 and everytime I go to look at players statistics, I get the message that the game cannot find old boxscores. For the record, the game only keep boxscores and logs for my team and when I deleted the save games, I did NOT check the box for deleting the associated boxscores.

JeeberD brought this to my attention in another thread.
When importing draft files from TCY, no QB or P comes in with a kick holding skill. Everyone of them is zero. Will make for a league of keystone kop special teams in a few years, unfortunately.

Is this something that could really screw with the imports so much so that it would be best to wait until it is fixed?

I've noticed something that's not quite a bug, but more of a performance issue. When attempting to view a player's career statistics screen, via the "View Statistics" button, I encounter about five seconds of HD access prior to seeing their stats, but only if the player in question is a DE, DT, or LB. Players from every other position open up their stats screens normally (and very quickly). Has anybody else observed this?
