Restricted Free Agents
I have a player who is in his 3rd year and will become a restricted free agent. How does restricted free agents work? When do I have to resign him before he becomes an unrestricted free agent?

In FOF RFAs can negotiate only with you until training camp. After that, they can sign with anybody. Players are RFA until they have four years of service in the league. After that, when their contract expires, they will become a unrestricted free agent.

Was that a change Jim worked in one of the patches? Because I remember it the way kcchief does. CR

I'm not sure. I *think* it's been there since the initial release of FOF2004. |

So to play it safe I should sign him during the initial 20 stage FA period. Can I trade away his rights while he is an Restricted Free Agent?
