I recently "discovered" this guy while looking for new stuff to add to my music library. He was very talented and a fine gentleman. I'm sad to hear of his passing.

I know Charley Pride as THE GUY who played the Norsk Hostfest in Minot every year as a kid. He was one of the big names who seemed to come play every year. I had no idea who he was, nobody I knew listened to him, but he was there as one of the big names every year. That in of itself is a big deal, because nobody goes to Minot every year if they don't have to.

Only for state fair and Hostfest and both won't happen.
