It was a good day for Oakland thanks to Lansford. He doubled in the 1st inning, doubled plating two runs in the 4th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 4th of the season) in the 6th inning. Oakland had 14 hits overall, while Kansas City had 8. Bill Krueger(6-2) went 8 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Danny Jackson(5-4) was given the loss. Easler had a great day at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his every move. He rifled a three-run blast in the 1st inning, stroked a base-hit resulting in a run in the 2nd inning, slapped a one-base hit plating a run in the 6th inning and cracked a solo homerun (his 12th of the season) in the 8th inning. Boston kept the scorekeepers busy in the 1st inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 5 hits and the 6th inning when they had 4 runs on 6 hits. Boston ended up with 21 hits for the game while Milwaukee had 10. Bob Ojeda(5-3) got the win allowing 5 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Ray Burris(4-5) took the loss. 'I felt great out there today' Easler said. 'I was seeing the ball perfectly, and I was right on it with my swing. California scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning with the help of 4 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Craig Gerber who made the crowd happy when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. Texas had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. The win was credited to Kirk McCaskill(4-5) who went 6 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs. Donnie Moore was credited with his 10th save. Burt Hooton(3-7) was given the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 4 innings. With this win, California has a 25-32 record. They have been 6-4 lately. In the top of the 3rd inning Kansas City scored 3 runs when they had 3 base hits. Dane Iorg led off and he slapped a base-hit. Onix Concepcion followed and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Willie Wilson then lined a single. After another out, Balboni stepped in and he belted a three-run homer (his 7th of the season). Kansas City and Oakland each finished the afternoon with 11 hits. The victory went to Bud Black(7-5) who went 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs. Joe Beckwith recorded the save, his 2nd. Chris Codiroli(10-4) suffered the loss. Kansas City now has a record of 29-28. San Francisco won the game with a run in the top of the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Alex Trevino stroked a one-base hit. Jeff Dedmon then had one get away for a wild pitch. Driessen then banged out a single scoring the run. Overall San Francisco out-hit Atlanta 8 to 5. Scott Garrelts(5-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory. Dedmon(1-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 1 inning. Reuschel(6-4) was simply too much for the St. Louis batters. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 2 hits and no walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 2.40 to 2.14. Pittsburgh had only 5 hits for the game. The loss was charged to Kurt Kepshire(4-3). The Pittsburgh ballclub's record now stands at 20-35. With this loss, St. Louis has a 4-6 record of late, 29-28 overall.

All, I attempted to run the SOM game this morning to get the league caught up to the actual date, but the key disk for the game is no longer working. I'm very sorry, but I have no way to access my game at this point, so I'll be unable to continue the dynasty.
