Another oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico
Just got an AP update on my phone, so I don't know all the details but it's apparently west of the BP explosion. No word on if there was an oil leak from the explosion but apparently no one died.

I'll use this thread instead of mine, but apparently, things aren't as rosy as first reported.
All 13 people have been reported rescued, I hear, but: The Coast Guard is saying that a mile-long oil sheen is spreading from the site off an offshore petroleum platform that exploded in the Gulf of Mexico off Louisiana.

I have a feeling we will start seeing a bunch of unfounded accusations of sabotage flying soon (because, frankly, if I were an oil company- that would be the doubt I'd want to be causing).

Update, apparently the sheen and burning is only what was in storage, the limiters on the seven wells at the site worked as planned, and there's nothing leaking from the wells.
