Calder
9 horses in the field
7f C4 maiden for 2 year olds on turf
Taalami is 7:4 and the favorite

Taalami started mid pack and stayed there until about 4 furlongs to go. Made a charge with others in the pack but got caught inside and behind the lead pack. Tried to work his way outside but then tired and fell to 8th.

The jockey rode him in the pack and could never get him in it.

Calder
13 horses in the field
6f C7 selling race on dirt in the rain
Hunter Street is 66:1

Putting $50 on Hunter Street.

Middle of the pack start. Hung up on the outside at the turn and fell to the back of the pack. That was painful.

The jockey rode him as a front runner (sad that was a front runner) and felt he was beaten by better horses (sad when getting beaten by better horses in the lowest class race).

Horseman's Park
8 horses in the field
6f C5 handicap for 3 year olds
Captain Ginger is the longshot at 33:1

Started in the back and stayed there.

The jockey rode him as a closer and thinks he needs a longer race.

Sounds like you need to put Irony in a half marathon.

Odd how this is working out. With the other game that I started to see what I was doing wrong I actually have much better horses. Didn't buy a horse at the start and went with the horses I was given at the start. Just a couple months in and have three wins with those horses and am making money in that game.

To compare. In that game I have:

A 2 year old colt that had the following results:
5th in a C4 maiden
2nd in a C4 maiden
1st in a C4 maiden
over 9K in winnings

A 3 year old filly that had the following results
9th in a C4 handicap (too long of a race)
1st in a C4 maiden
1st in a C2 handicap
over 20K in earnings

A 4 year old filly that belongs with this group of horses, best finish 5th so far.

June 19th

Blue Ribbon Downs
1m C4 Maiden for 2 year olds
13 horses in the field
Irony is 50:1

Irony started poorly, dropped to last by about the 3 furlong mark and managed to climb back to 10th by the end.

The jockey ran him as a closer and thinks he needs a longer race; but there aren;t any yet for his age.

1m C7 Selling Race for 3 year olds and up on dirt

Capain Ginger is 3:1

Captain Ginger started okay but dropped to the back of the pack after two furlongs. With 4 furlongs remaining he made a move and with 2 furlongs to go he was up to 2nd. When a secondary pack made a move at that point he was passed by a couple and finished in 5th.

The jockey rode him as a closer and thought the distance suited him but maybe not the surface.

The jockey rode him in the pack and thought the distace suited him.

Taalami is the favorite at 10:3

Taalami started out in th emiddle of teh pack and dropped to near th eback of the pack after 2 furlongs. With about 4 furlongs left he began to make a move but got caught in traffic. He eventually worked his way up to 3rd but seemed to have exerted too much trying to get around the traffic and then fell back to a 7th place finish.

The jockey rode him as a closer and thought the distance was perfect, just issues with being caught in the traffic.

5 horses in the field
Taalami is 14:1

Taalami started 4th and dropped to last early in the race. With about 2 and a half furlongs to go he began to make a move and was able to get to 3rd but couldn't close on the top two as he finished 3rd.

The jockey rode him as a closer and though that suited him well as did the distance.

Captain Ginger is the favorite at 10:3

Captain Ginger started about 5th and then dropped to last after the first furlong. With about 4 furlongs left he began to make a move and was up to 5th with 2 furlongs to go. He began to gain quickly on the outside and passed the field with about a half furlong to go and held on for a half length victory. The first trip to the winners circle for one of my horses (only took 34 races).

The jockey rode him as a closer and wouldn't settle but the distance and ride suited him well.

Captrain Ginger was purchased for 149K. That gives me money to continue with the rest of my so called stable.

I'll probably get back to it after the New Year. Want to get the Football ones out of the way first.
