Zeroed Out 1948 On: The Conference Edition (FBCB 2K10)

So we're back with a Zeroed Out FBCB dynasty. I lost my initial modified files for the Zeroed Out somewhere, which makes me just ill, but on the bright side, I still have the initial league save before the first season, so we'll be using that.

As the title suggests, this one will focus on a specific conference, rather than the entire NCAA as the initial Zeroed Out dynasty does. I've decided to wait some years before choosing what conference, as I'd like some history built up first. Although I haven't decided the exact genre, it will not be historical chronicle. I'm reserving that for the original Zeroed Out: From 1948 On dynasty, which, by the way, I will be continuing when I have more time, as its updates tend to be very time-intensive, particularly the NCAA tournament. And hell, I have to continue it. We haven't even gotten to UNLV's inaugural year yet.

Other Ways This Dynasty Will Differ From The Original
1. Although the historical school import years will remain the same, the conference configurations may or may not. Hence, you might never see the Whig Conference, the Steel Conference might survive, etc.

2. None of the players or coaches will be the same that I'm aware of. I just checked Montana, for example, and Newton Richardson is absent, and instead of Mack Halbert coaching, it's some 68 year old guy who will probably retire after a year or two. That's actually a good thing. Better to start with a completely separate universe, because otherwise I'd be disappointed in the alt-history.

3. Obviously you probably won't see the same teams and conferences rise to power, which is the negative side of this not being alt-history. For example, I'd love to see what the Sun West would look like if it hadn't broken up, if it was the same universe as the initial dynasty. ...Actually, I could probably do that. I might have a save file somewhere where San Francisco, St. Mary's, etc. are still in the SW. But oh well.

Also, the backstory will remain the same for convenience sake. So that big brouhaha that resulted in the North Star and the Southern Stars forming still took place. And yes, that will still inform the actions the North Star and Southern Stars take, so it's very likely a *few* of the shifts in the original dynasty will occur in this one, though perhaps not in the same year or to the same conference. I'm thinking chiefly of William & Mary here, by the way.
