Barkeep, are you pushing through with your game after Lathum's is over? Or is peregrine coming back by then?

Considering Peregrine said he's able to start on the 17th I think we have perfect timing for him to do his game next, though I can certainly go if Peregrine can't.

So I'm giving serious thought to periodically weeding the posts in this thread into a separate thread to try and keep this to one page and thus easy to monitor. Thoughts?

Makes sense to me as long as people can still post in it. I figured this wasn't a conversation thread as much as update/information thread.

Speaking of which, since my game will be coming up in the next 2 months most likely, my availability:

Not available this week (in training all week)
Not available next week (Closing on my new house and moving stuff etc)
Not available around oct 19 - 22 due to my father coming in town to visit
Not available Oct 27 - 30 , cleaning out old place and getting rid of it for good
Not available Nov 4 - 13 (out of town for work)
Not available Nov 16 - 27 (out of town for thanksgiving)..

So my availbility sucks for a bit, I probably should be available after november 27th. So if for some reason my game comes up before then, I'll need to slide down the list a bit.

People would still be able to post in both this thread and the "leftover" thread.

I'm in the same boat as Pass - I've got two business trips coming up in mid-October and early-November. I'll be back home after 11/6 and could start a game anytime after that.

So we're either going to need my game sometime toward the middle of October, or I'll be waiting until probably December....that works.

I have mine ready, rules are pretty well set and done. Just needs a few tweaks. I'm also good with any number of players, its very adustable. More is always better.

Muah.

My ruleset is finally done. Put me on the list, I'm ready whenever, except for thanksgiving weekend (if it really takes that long)

My availability changed somewhat. I no longer am traveling for work the first two weeks of November, that trip was changed to the 2nd and 3rd week of December.

I'm now available after Oct 20th until mid november.

I believe Alan has said he's ready but I'm glad you're set to go as well just in case. Since we won't be playing over the weekend I expect we'll finish early/middle of next week.

OK, my work project has been moved to 11/30 now. So, with RendeR already having sign-ups for his game and Thanksgiving looming, I'm probably going to have to slide back in line until December at this point.

Also, if someone would like to help with co-moderation duties on my game I'm looking for a wingman. Tyrith was in line to do it, but my work schedule has jerked him around one too many times now and he won't be able to do it in December.

There was a wikipedia entry that was being updated, but that kind of peetered out. You can just scroll back through the history of this forum, all of the WW games should be in here from this forum...
Or you can just say your theme idea and some of the folks whom have been around a while can let you know

Dola.. Even though I'm not sure there isn't anything really bad about repeating a theme idea.. I've tossed around the idea of doing a Lord of the Ring based game for a while (since I had one partially written when Anxiety ran one before). Just as long as its not overdone, I don't have a huge issue with it.

This is probably easier!

My theme idea is based on the TV Show Lost

I think Heroes would be a good theme. Similar in some ways to the games Hoops has done for the comicbook heros, it allows for alot of individuality for everyone's roles if that is the type of game you want to run, or you can reign it back a bit and have something a little more straight forward if you want that type of game.

I would encourage you to come up with a "Heroes" game that is not as hard as the stupid ruleset I'm going to throw at people for my Marvel sequel

Seriously, I hope this one is a smidge easier than the last one. Especially for the people who played the last one, as there shouldn't be much of a learning curve.

I weep for people when we get to my game.

Although the rules are not really all that hard, it just looks like they are at first glance.

Yeah, I don't think it'll be easy, but I figure I have a lot of time. Plus, I'm hoping to learn more and more about roles as the show goes. Now I just have to hope this writers' strike doesn't hose it too bad.

I have fond memories of that game, Schmidty. Early convert, initial "wolves" dead quickly thereafter, survive and advance.

Oh, and BK swore a lot.

Does anyone out there who is a bit more experienced as a GM want to help read over my ruleset? I plan on having it set early in case I get bumped up for whatever reason (of course even given that I have a ton of time).

Someone who watches (or is at least familiar) with the show (Heroes) would be a big plus.

Someone hit me up with a PM when the next game is about to begin.

I've got some free time after this week and want to get a few games in before school starts back up.
