Jim Rome is burning - guest host..

I don't really like Steven A. Smith. But I have to say he did a pretty good job hosting the show, as a guest host for Jim Rome.

Jim Lampley was the host today. I like him better than Jim Rome. Rome tries way too hard to be cooler than he is.

As far as verbs go, I always go with a helping verb like "is".

dola,
I really liked the job Bob Ryan and Michael Smith did on PTI last week, much more so than I normally like Wilbon and Kornheiser

Likewise. Michael Smith does a great job. He knows his stuff, but doesn't try the urban shtick of say Steven A. Smith or Stuart Scott.

His articles are good, too. Steven A. took down the rapid yelling he normally does today, so that's why Rome is Burning was tolerable (at least, the one on ESPN before PTI was on..so that's the episode I saw) today, because Rome is annoying, acts like he knows everyone and tries really hard to be cool.

He's like the O'Reilly of sports journalism. "You might hate me, but so what..I'm popular or so I like to think."
