The infamous DOLA Post...

Now I enjoy my JD very kindly, yes I do, but I'm wondering, what is a very good mixed drink that is somewhat fruity, that wouldn't be considered too "girly" (no offense intended to the female FOFC'ers out there).

Looking for some ideas..

I just need a couple of drinks as this has definitely been one of those grinder of a days. You take off for a extended weekend and you would think the entire world is collapsing when you get back to work.... Geez.... It's only work.

Manhattans are great, but if you want to ensure that you feel all man, put it in a highball glass.

Edit: Also get it with Maker's Mark, not Jack Daniels.

I'm probably getting smashed tonight on endless streams of Amaretto and Coke since it looks like I'm being stood up on a planned outing.

Also, Long Island iced tea isn't bad either.

Personally, I like to take a hit off the crack pipe once I get off from work.

Agreed, but they are oh so girly.

When I wanted fruity drinks in college, I always mixed Popov vodka with a 99 cent two liter bottle of squirt.

Margaritas have lime, but only the rocks is not girly - the frozen ones are girly.

I would have to go with Gin and Juice as the best fruity, non-girly drink, although you are missing out if you pass of the Popov and Squirt.

As long as it is not made with the fake Long Island mix, I agree.

What? You mean you didn't like Taaka & Tab, or maybe a Gilbey's & Grape?

If you are going to use Popov, get 2 of those large bottles, get 2 cases of Nati, 2 2 liters of lemonade, mix them all up in one of these:
And wa-lah, you have Super Juice.

I bought a bottle of Taaka for the NL poker tournaments. Not for myself, but for anyone who misdeals at the table. Taaka is the penalty shot you take for screwing up.
